The Incredible 2 Trailer

Will The Incredibles 2 finally break the trend of bad animated movies since 2014? It's ridiculous how most veterans have become a bunch of hacks in just 10 years or so.

Bu-whu...

That was the SAME FUCKING TEASER but with 3 extra 1-second clips thrown in! You can't call that "trailer 2"

It'll be unironically panned like every other Pixar sequel

Toy story 2 was great

>like every other Pixar sequel
Like the Toy Stories, Finding Dory and Monsters U?

Finding Dory and Monsters U were bad tho

They were alright.

The only Pixar sequels i can think of that were good were the Toy Story ones. And that will soon change with Toy Story 4

The Cars sequels are really the only bad thing that Pixar has ever done, and even they would be OK if the movies weren't a vehicle for Larry the Cable Guy.

I guess The Good Dinosaur was pretty mediocre. But everyone just forgot about that one because it was overshadowed by Inside Out (which was a good movie that came out in 2015 by the way).

Outside of Pixar, Kubo and the Two Strings and Lego Batman come to mind. It's not like all animated movies have been garbage recently.

Monsters U was great

>Inside Out (which was a good movie that came out in 2015 by the way).
It was boring and overdramatic

>That fucking trailer
Why are they so afraid of showing new footage?
This thing is out in less than a year and all we got was Jack-Jack cutting up the movie logo and burning Bob's hair.
How unimaginative.

Just watched Cars 3 for the first time today, was surprised how sparsely Mater was used ESPECIALLY after the trainwreck that was Cars 2

It was fine. The cast was pretty solid, and I enjoyed the animation. The only real problem was that the memory mechanics were clunky and overly complicated. At least as good as A Bug's Life or Ratatouille.

Worth watching at all? That's the only Pixar movie I never bothered to watch.

The real trailer doesn't come out until Wednesday. This is just a trailer for the trailer.

>MFW this movie is gonna be decent/good but people are gonna overhype it and talk shit about it

Expecting something on the same lines of quality of the first movie hardly counts as over hyping.

>8.2 on IMDB
>98% on rotton tomatoes
>857 million box office

>bad

People are already overhyping it because now Helen got the spotlight this time.
As if she didn't had her fair share of screentime in the first movie or something.

They're using the same market stregety as the previous film by presenting it as a family friendly kiddie movie about superheroes and the thematic is still on core. So I don't fear they'll fuck up.I have faith

Definitely better than Cars 2 - in fact you can completely skip it and pretend Cars 3 is a direct sequel to Cars, they don't mention anything from Cars 2. It was just put on NetFlix, if you've got two hours to kill I'd say it's worth it.

>mfw your use of sj is incredibly apt given the greentext

>Not wanting a Helen mid-life crysis and see how she manages it.

So do I. I only fear the leaks about the plot we had here a while ago; they sounded like they would make for a dull movie. I'm probably worrying over nothing here, but it's still lingering on the back of my mind.

>Cars 2
>the only Pixar movie I never bothered to watch

There's something very, very wrong with you.

I better see Elastigirl inflate.

I've been waiting for this movie a long long time. And as someone that saw the original 3 times in theaters. I can say I'm gonna watch this too and I'll give it the same treatment like all movies.
No expectations.
Everytime I enter to see a film I lower my bar down to 0 and let the movie speak for itself. I could've spoiled the whole movie already but can still enjoy it. And I know I will be able to enjoy this one even if the whole movie was spoilered to me.

I saw 2, and after that I never saw 3. Are you really defending Cars 2? The movie which threw away Pixar's one go at a spy movie by giving it to Larry the Cable Guy?

Monsters U was great.
Finding Dory was god awful.

>a trailer for the trailer
I hate how this is a thing

>No timeskip
Already trash.

Was Toy Story 3 this decade? Feels so long ago. And the other 2 were crap.

God I cannot fucking wait for the porn

There have been a good number of good animated films though.

Kubo was good.

A Silent Voice was good.

I never saw it, but everyone seems to gush over Captain Underpants.

The first two lego movies were decent.

A Long Way North was solid

I'm sure there are plenty I'm missing too.

Zootopia was decent even if it wasn't great.

Why? The only two girls in the movie already get porn and they aren't introducing a cute loli or anything that is worth porning.

Drawfag user here, request and I'll post in the /aco/ drawthread and link here

Violet and Elastigirl leglocking guys as they cum

>unironically hate baby characters.

>sequel will push baby for the entire run time.

I'll probably skip and watch a stream of it.

Everyone but the dad and baby look worse. Is it just me?

Dash looks like a fucking freak

>A Long Way North was solid
I misread that as "Norm of the North and nearly had a stroke.

Does anyone else think this movie will suffer slightly because of the oversaturation of superhero movies. Would the original movie had been has lauded as it was if it were released today instead of 15 years agon.

> It wasn't male centric and was, therefore, worthless.

I haven't heard much about Captain Underpants' reaction, but I went into it thinking it was to be another shitty nostalgia cash grab and was surprised when there were some legitimate creative elements to it.

>basement dwelling Sup Forumschanner summarizing animated movie industry
Whatever you say, user. :-P

Watch Cars 3 to see what happened to Pixar.

Jack-Jack will be the Jar-jar Binks of Incredibles 2. Mark my words.

It can always be 50/50. Devs have been proving themselves incompetent at picking up upon things a decade or older

"But it's how we do things on youtube these days..."

Am I the only one who kind of wanted them aged up?

Or am I gay for thinking that?
I just don't want fucking baby jack jack as part of the team.

>a trailer for the trailer
WHY

>no time skip
Movie will be shit.

How come Violet isn't cuddled up with her family? Is it because of her shy personality?

>time skip

How will anyone know there's a trailer for something unless there's a trailer for it. It only makes sense they made a trailer for the trailer.

The real question is why they didn't make a trailer for the trailer for the trailer?

In all honestly I really liked Cars 3, maybe that's because I grew up literally in a trailer watching NASCAR with my dad and learning about the history of it, then watching the sport change dramatically after Dale died. It really reflects the feel I have of watching that in my childhood and looking at it now

Fuck. Me too. Baby characters are the worst. I hope there's a baby-free edit of the film.

Violet looks fine, Helen looks somewhat different from what little footage we've seen so far (her hair's definitely longer), but I couldn't agree more about Dash looking off. It seems like they remodeled his face and made it more fully-colored and slightly chubbier.

In the end, though, we can make our final judgments with Wednesday's theatrical trailer.

>The Incredibles 2
C'mon, OP. Let's get it right for once; it's just 'Incredibles 2'. They deliberately removed the article from the title. It's crazy how many people still won't follow the actual logo.

Oh, shit.

Ant-man had the best trailer trailer.
They released the trailer a day early but in like 20x10 resolution.

>those legs

Actually, if they play up the deconstruction it could work in it's favor. Like the first had "monologuing" and "NO CAPES!" and so on that were all pretty obvious tropes for "generic capeshit" but these days there are things in the movies that anyone who's seen more than a few of them ( which would be 99% of the audience for this ).

For example: I'd dearly LOVE for them to do an opening pre-title scene with a giant beam of light shooting up into the sky and someone pausing to ask quizzically how many times they'd had to deal with literally that in the past week/month.

Got to admit, hearing that again brought a smile to my face.

I'm kinda concerned about how the Pixar crew's gonna deal with Mirage considering that aspect, since her VA passed on.

Oh blimey, Finding Dory was as unneccessarily despairing as Men in Black 3.

So, without looking at the leaks, we can all agree that the movie is going to be centered around the baby right?
He has strong powers and a villain is going to capture him. Every time.

Agreed, MU was pretty great, feel like it was underrated. That being said I feel like it was a little bit rushed. I'm sure Pixar is taking more time with Incredibles 2 because it feels like more of a necessary sequel, at least I really hope so

...

>Linking to some trailer collection channel instead of the studios.

I would be interested to see a screen Time breakdown.

Nah dude I genuinely stopped watching midway through the season after the disco episode and haven't looked back return of the Jack was a total disappointment.

Question is, will they go with:

A) He can't control the power mutations fully and won't be able to learn, thus dooming him to an unfortunate misbegotten life of forever being a danger to himself and those around him, living in a shielded, sealed, and heavily guarded government containment facility, mentally surviving solely on the dripfeed of human contact supplied by occasionally being allowed to speak with his family through a reinforced blast wall.

or B) He can learn to control it and so begins his ascent as Jack-Jack, God Emperor of Mankind.

It'll be fine folks, just enjoy the ride. If anything those peeks really show the upgrades in visuals since the first film.

Same here, user.
There's no such thing as too much Elastigirl porn. Also, Evelyn Deavor definitely looks like she could use some porning.

This, mu felt okay but Dory was super boring. I didn't even finish it.

...

What leaks?

I like this user.

Does Violet look younger to anyone else?

Yep, somethin' ain't right

I'm surprised no one in this thread mentioned Coco.

I just watched it last week and it was surprisingly good (probably because I was expecting it to be bad)

>wanting time skip
You are shit

This. Also I really loved the first one, so I'm excited to go and see it.

Same here.

I was talking mostly about Non Japanese movies. Zootopia was good and the first Lego movie too. After that nothing elde

Zootopia is preachy garbage made by SJWs.

This is the biggest thing

>Makes the more male side of species (preds) look like underdogs
>makes the female side (prey) into a villian
Nah its the opposite

Or C) Something happens near the end and his random powers vanish in favor of one or two specific sets, like how the comic series had Jack-Jack settle for body-transformation as his sole power.

>helen front and center and looking confident and alert
>bob looking as confused as the kids at the far left, extremely out of focus

YAAAAAAS QUEEN SLAY THE PATRIARCHY

>I'm kinda concerned about how the Pixar crew's gonna deal with Mirage considering that aspect, since her VA passed on.
She'll most likely be mentioned in passing as being in protective custody for her role with Syndrome and never brought up again for the rest of the film.

Eh, they should have aged.

>bob looking as confused as the kids at the far left
no he doesn't

Actual retard

She's in the middle because she has the main role in this movie instead of Bob

Literally fucking kill yourself, faggot.

teenage desire for independence

Ant-man had some of the best marketing ever

I might be wrong but in an Incredibles thread recently people put together what seemed like a very plausible plot based on how one of the revealed character names was "Evelyn Deavor", which is kind of clearly "Evil Endeavour".
