Why Does Everyone Vote Against Their Self Interest?

Why do red states take more from the Federal Government than they give?

Why do blue states give more than they take?

Shouldn't it be the other way around?

>Why do red states take more from the Federal Government than they give?

More niggers overall; most blue states only have niggers in their cities, whereas the south has niggers spread out all over.

Blue states also demand higher taxes from citizens, so... yeah. It's not surprising.

If by "niggers" you mean "farmers," then yes.

>Government gives funding to red states for farming
>why are red states given more money?

Why is your infographic completely wrong?

Really makes me think....

>Major Major’s father was a sober God-fearing man whose idea of a good joke was to lie about his age. He was a longlimbed farmer, a God-fearing, freedom-loving, law-abiding rugged individualist who held that federal aid to anyone but farmers was creeping socialism. He advocated thrift and hard work and disapproved of loose women who turned him down. His specialty was alfalfa, and he made a good thing out of not growing any. The government paid him well for every bushel of alfalfa he did not grow. The more alfalfa he did not grow, the more money the government gave him, and he spent every penny he didn’t earn on new land to increase the amount of alfalfa he did not produce. Major Major’s father worked without rest at not growing alfalfa. On long winter evenings he remained indoors and did not mend harness, and he sprang out of bed at the crack of noon every day just to make certain that the chores would not be done. He invested in land wisely and soon was not growing more alfalfa than any other man in the county. Neighbors sought him out for advice on all subjects, for he had made much money and was therefore wise. “As ye sow, so shall ye reap,” he counseled one and all, and everyone said, “Amen.”
>Major Major’s father was an outspoken champion of economy in government, provided it did not interfere with the sacred duty of government to pay farmers as much as they could get for all the alfalfa they produced that no one else wanted or for not producing any alfalfa at all. He was a proud and independent man who was opposed to unemployment insurance and never hesitated to whine, whimper, wheedle and extort for as much as he could get from whomever he could.

google
don't post again for at least 5 years

you do at least realize they don't keep all the corn to themselves, right? maybe don't post again, ever

Why do they need the subsidy then?
Why do they need billions of dollars of subsidy?

Why isn't the free market used?

Not really. Those numbers include shit like farm subsidies. Those amount to billions of dollars, but they effectively keep food costs down for the US. So when you see numbers like that, it may be tempting to say "welfare", etc, but that's a severe oversimplification.

You see user, there's these things called agricultural subsidies.

the civil war has lingering effects on the south. they went overboard with burning everything in sight, quality of life down here is still worse because of it

>Those amount to billions of dollars, but they effectively keep food costs down for the US.
That doesn't sound like the Free Market.
That sounds like Socialism.

How can people getting billions of dollars from the federal government because they can't run their business on their own call themselves conservatives?

Because every serious capitalist reaching back even to the noble pedigree of Adam Smith has allowed for a small area in which the state operates in the national interest.

It's not in your interest to have the government give you welfare. But if all charities are crowded out, you can't get a job because regulations have killed businesses, and you're being taxed to pay for it, then you might as well take advantage.

>Why isn't the free market used?
To prevent famine and keep us independent food wise

It WAS accurate, it's just seriously outdated.

"Small area" like billions of dollars every year?

No, it isn't. They're factoring direct federal expenditure that just so happens to take place in your state as "giving your state federal money". Not welfare, not food stamps, not whatever else. Direct federal expenditures for federal projects and federal infrastructure.

It's a purposely misleading piece of shit map.

You have no idea the scale of government spending.

Anyway, small is meant in relative terms, not absolute.

So niggers can actually afford food with their EBT bux.

Do you propose a solution?

I propose people stop being hypocrites.
Call a cow a cow and call american farmers socialists.

farming subsidies and military bases.

>Government doing anything ever is socialism meme
Subsidizing private industry is not the equivalent of nationalizing it. Doesn't mean that capitalists are big fans of it, but it certainly isn't socialism.

Then we'll need a socialism that's claims to be in the interest of rural whites. Not feminists and minorities.

was that really your point?
why doesn't the government tax utilities or infrastructure corporations to the extent that households are taxed? because these companies are the economy. if you overly tax resource producers than you will run out of resources.

taxes are meant for personal wealth not directly involved in market growth. taxes are meant for consumer products in order to garner revenue for the government.

that is capitalism 101 not socialism you fucking dip shit.

I unironically believe evrything shown on this graph. I trust that the person making it did not have ill intention and isnt a shill.

I havnt even checked the source. Not even glanced over it.

Ive done absolutely no due dilligance.

I am a proud liberal.

What the heck is going on in northern California?

Love that book. Love it.

90% of the world's almond crop

It's one of life's greatest mysteries. Just like the black community, who at large:
>are religious
>skeptical of government
>Anti gay
>want self made success
Also end up voting blue every year. Really makes you think.

You realize that subsidy farming has the government pay the farmers not to grow so the U.S. can control food prices right? We could literally feed the world but we want to control the global grain and corn markets.

Fucking christ.
We are completely dependent on loans

>libcucks failed history class and don't know that the food supply is the foundation of civilization
XD

Don't forget gang-bangers and guns

I want to know why "Payments to Native Populations" is included in this? That by itself hugely skews numbers, and there are zero taxes collected from those individuals.

I am from Idaho and farm subsidy is huge, but we are a relatively low welfare state. The town I am from is the second largest in Idaho, but it has one welfare office one of my friends works at and he plays minecraft at work a lot.

But now I live in New Mexico, and when I tried to get temporary disability a few years ago the line just to talk to someone was two hours long.

This infograph is shit when it puts things in such simple terms. I mean, California gets a lot of farm subsidies, but has almost a half more taxes than most states. But this graph makes it look so low (similar situations with New York).
