Joining the Military for College payment

Hey Sup Forums, any canucks know anything about joining the Military to pay for college? I looked through it and I don't quite understand if it's worth it or not.

Fuk of leac

Do you have any experience in any type of military environment? Cadets perhaps?

They will pay for your education but you need to serve for a few years after graduation as a way to pay back.

why would you do that? education is p. affordable in this country

A few years when I was younger yeah, decided to quit to focus on my studies.
How much are they pulling off your shoulders though in money?

Hi, I'm a captain in the Canadian Army. I usually don't post, just here to lurk trump. I'll answer any specific questions you have.

I know the site hates reddit, but you could check out /r/canadianforces or whatever its called and ask questions there for more specific info.\

Great benefits, good training, decent pay (at least for someone like me who doesnt have a highschool diploma).

I was thinking of doing this too. Still not sure.

What's a good branch to go into if you're good with the cyber?

Military is overrun with SJW garbage and you will not go anywhere in the ranks unless you capitulate.

Have fun watching videos telling you rape is bad

I'm trying to enlist. Taking forever though. Goddamn bureaucracy.

Get my papers through faster jerk.

If you could answer the last question.

Go ahead an join. Canada doesn't do any real combat.

NCM SEPT is want your looking for.

sure, it's worth it. go with a branch and job that you'd be comfortable with doing for a minimum of 4 years.

If you don't try to drink all your pay it's a good way to earn the money if they will hire you.

there's a new focus on cyber. It doesn't matter what branch you're in, anyone can apply as long as they're qualified in their trade. I'd go Int Operator or Int officer if i were you though

It's brutal these days, man. It only took me like 3 months. Follow up with them and make sure they didn't lose your file.

Awesome, thanks.

Minimum here is three years I believe.

They'll pay your tuition and books and give you a salary if you're civi u. If you go to RMC it's all inclusive

You have to finish basic first.
You have to be able to convince your unit why they should pay for it.
You need to put the money up upfront and then get reimbursed later.
You get reimbursed for 50% of tuition for a maximum of $2000 every year for 4 years for a total of $8000.

You're welcome. I'm just an Armoured Officer, so it might be worth asking the recruiters too

Military is good at uncucking.

Incorrect. Maybe for the reserves. I'm sure OP is talking ref force

RMC

It's cheap af to get a education, what's the point?

Oh no, not talking about the reserves. If I'm going to do something might as well go all in.

Reserves are gay as fuck. I work with them right now as their Reg force support staff. Worst time of my career so far

>You have to be able to convince your unit why they should pay for it.
That's the key.

And guess what? Your unit doesn't have money to sent to off to school.

Welcome to the Liberal CF look forward to limited everything.

Is 30 too old to join the military, boys?

I've got a college diploma and university degree, but I've been NEET the last two years since I graduated university, I have no skills, no references, and I've never had a job. Rapidly running out of options.

35 is the maximum age from what I've heard so I believe you're fine.

Sorry I meant 35 to 42

Pretty common for officers to join aged 30+(especially ones in specialist roles like dentists and engineers)
