True enough boys have nothing that they would like these days outside of maybe and I do mean maybe the current Ben 10 (don't watch it so I don't know but I hear it's inferior to the original cartoon in terms of conflict and stories for the episodes). Current boys also have the new bastardized TMNT cartoon to look forward to.
And for what it's worth back in the day watching "girl" shows meant watching Sailor Moon which means you got to see some hot bitches.

Owl House looks like it's getting more buzz so far. Amphibia looks cool too but it seems a bit more conventional.
I'm sure that show's success is a big factor but let's not forget that one of the main reasons Star was even greenlit is because Disney saw a certain other magical girl-influence show doing big numbers, only all the magical girls happened to be equines.

Then in 2020, they roll out a new theatrical film followed by a new series. It's not ending, it's just evolving. the ride never ends.
I've seen more people talking about Amphibia, but Owl House seems like it'll get the pre-teen Star Vs crowd.
