If a woman did not have to breastfeed or raise her own children , and had a support structure for her children to be raised for her , how many kids can you reasonably get out of a girl?

40 is not the cutoff. I have a relative that was born when the mother was 52. You don't start reaching menopause until get into your mid-to-late fifties

Cultures with a tradition of large extended families are able to have more kids. Because there's multiple sets of grandparents around, and childbearing adults take care of and nurse each other's kids. Each adult will have their own set of parents to help out.

Well, if we start at their first period (normally starting age 9-13) and go all the way up to menopause (40s or early 50s) you'd have a 30-40 year window. Ms guess would be one child per year, giving the female "enough" time to rest. So 35-40 kids.
Of course it'd be a completely fucked up mess, both for the kids growing up without a real mother and the mother who'd probably spend all her life in bed due to the excessive strain on her body.
I'd say a healthy amount of children for a woman is max. 10 so that she can actually take care of those kids.

I don't agree it's election bias, because most girls will give birth in the hospital. In the United States giving birth at home or hiring a midwife is more of a luxury. For low-income families they can give birth in the hospital for free.
So it's probably pretty accurate in terms of bias.

A woman typically begins puberty about 9-11. So lets say 10. At this age a woman can get pregnant.
A woman ends her relatively problem-free reproduction at about 30. This is in regards to lack of defects in children.
So 20 years of reproduction. Assuming that a woman gets pregnant from each instance of sex. Say, allowing a month to recover from pregnancy. She pops out a child every 10 months.
Then in 20 years, or 240 months, a woman could pop out 24 children.
We can expand the recovery period post-pregnancy to 2-3 moths to reduce the number of children to about 20-22 children popped out by the woman.

This actually does not sound like a bad thing. The adult children who are not yet paired up will help take care of their younger siblings and develop a stronger family bond and gain experience in child-rearing.
