I'm gay. I was never sexually abused when I was young, has a really great upbringing. I got everything I needed, but not everything I wanted. I'd like to think I'm a decent person now.
Transgender people; If they want to pretend to be another gender then fine. It doesn't hurt me or anyone else. I think they're delusional and have a mental disorder, but it doesn't hurt anyone else so I really don't care.
The transgender normalization hurts kids that have some confusion (especially prepuberty) that would out grow but are now being encouraged to go on hormones. All their hormones get fucked up going through puberty you can't ever fix that. Conversion treatment is not totally effective.
I lean to it being a disorder myself. Not really an illness, but something connects differently than in heterosexuals. It seem to go further than just altering your mood.
As for sexual abuse, it wouldn't be surprising that it would turn some people, but it's not a single cause.

Well, let me tell you my story and you decide; it could enlighten you. I'll try to keep it short.
I was raised in a loving Orthodox Christian home.
I was not educated about sex until I was 13; before I was 13, I didn't even know what words like "sex", "gay" or "lesbian" meant.
But there was something I never ever told anyone; for as long as I can remember (even before I knew what these words meant), I always was very attracted to men; I use to masturbate while thinking about hot men; I didn't even know what masturbation was or what I was doing; all I knew is that it felt good. I was actually afraid of the stuff that came out of my penis when I was 12.
When I was 13, I was educated about sex and what it was.
I have always known that I was gay but I kept denying it till I was 19; I even tried to convert myself to straight by watching straight porn, but it always made me feel sick.
We were educated at school that Jesus does not allow being gay (I attended an Orthodox Christian school).
I started to question my religion at 18 and at the age of 19 I became an agnostic atheist and I embraced my sexual orientation and accepted myself; my life became happier.
But even now, I can never tell anyone outside of Sup Forums that I am gay because I live in a Muslim society and Muslims consider gay people evil; they hate gay people much more than Christians.

i've always been pretty gay, but i started blocking testosterone in my body a little over a year ago. i don't want to be a girl, but i like being androgynous. so i think i sit between genders a lot but if you call yourself nonbinary or fluid people don't take you seriously, so i just call myself gay. i think the nonbinary identity is real because i live it, but the label is completely unnecessary because being a feminine man or masculine woman is an easier solution. so while nonbinary may or may not be a thing, anyone who is actually nonbinary is content to be a gender deviant.
i just wish people would stop caring so much about it; i miss the days when i was just a queer or a fag and people didn't care beyond that.

There is a big difference between two consenting gay adults to have sex than for some weird adult to take advantage of a child who is not old enough to give his/her consent.
In the first case, both parties are adults who are old enough to make an informed decision to have sex.
