A platypus?

A platypus?

...

PERRY THE PLATYPUS?!

This running gag was the best in the show.

>Perry is in one of Doof's traps, he takes off his fedora
>"Oh, poor little regular platypus. Did mean old Perry the Platypus put you in this trap?"
>Doof lets him out, he puts his fedora back on
>"PERRY THE PLATYPUS? I don't know how you got out of the trap, or what you did with that other platypus, but never mind."

And from one of the Halloween specials:

>"What kind of costume is that? You're just a kid in a sheet."
>Perry takes off sheet
>"A platypus in a sheet?"
>Perry puts on fedora
>"PERRY THE PLATYPUS IN A SHEET?!"

And one of my all time favourites:

>Doof sees a platypus balloon in a parade
>"A platypus balloon?"
>the balloon rams into a billboard with a giant fedora on it and the fedora falls onto the balloon
>"PERRY THE PLATYPUS BALLOON?"

And of course the legendary 'platypus plumber' bit.

It's such a simple, dumb gag but the lengths they took it to made it fucking gold.

yeah

I always did love how Doof was physically incapable of recognizing Perry unless he specifically saw nothing but a platypus wearing a fedora

Also, Perry the platypus is the ONLY fictional character who can unironically pull off a fedora. This is a fact.

>only character that can pull of a fedora

...

Don't forget Jigan from Lupin

It's great that even though 2D Heinz knew full well who Perry was, he still has a surprised expression.

It's actually kind of nice to know that even Rick would get bent over a table by the Mysterious Force.

>What kind of plumber are you?
>*removes cap*
>A platypus plumber?
>*puts on fedora*
>Perry the Platypus plumber?
>*removes tool belt*
>PERRY THE PLATYPUS !?

>Also, Perry the platypus is the only MODERN fictional character who can unironically pull off a fedora.
ftfy

>Phineas and Ferb originally aired in 2007

Minus Baljeet, the main cast dates back twenty-five years.

ickle stick

The platypus plumber bit is my personal favorite version of that gag. Gets me every time

I remember hearing about Phineas and Ferb because someone posted the theme song in a journal back when SheezyArt was around...

I was really sad that they never bought "Steve" back.

w-what?!
