Cost-effective methods of securing our borders

>Most of the US/Mexico border is desert.
>US military has used Hesco Barriers to establish FOBs in combat zones for years now.
>Barriers are literally giant connected bins that you fill with dirt and it becomes a wall.
>Entrench, stack and reinforce, cover with razor wire and motion sensors.
>Drone and border agent dispatch for motion sensors being set off.

Would this be a viable option for building a 2000+ mile wall that will be paid for by a 2nd world country. I have no doubt Mexico will pay for the wall, but we have to meet them halfway with a wall that is actually viable. A 50ft concrete wall that goes down 50 feet as well and has all the bells and whistles this board has been circlejerking about will never happen in reality. So what are the things that are most pertinent to making this border effective at stopping illegal immigrants?

That looks very easy to climb.

The south facing exterior needs to be flat.
But it's a good start.

THOSE FUCKING SPIC MOTHERFUCKERS WILL JUST TUNNEL THROUGH THAT SHIT!

but you know where they'll be tunneling.

You must have a lot of nuclear weapons stashed away since the cold war, instead of them laying to waste why not drop a bunch over Mexico? I mean they're payed for already but a bit outdated to partake in a modern nuclear arsenal.

This can be compromised with bolt cutters and a box cutter.

Hesco barriers are meant to stop bullets and shrapnel. They would be super easy to climb over.

Just make it legal to have Americans with guns to shoot the invaders. Heck, we could even charge Americans for it. $100 a day to shoot Mexicans. I would be down for it. No one cares about Mexicans.

dig a ditch

>Drone and border agent dispatch for motion sensors being set off.

I think you guys are looking at this the wrong way.

These barriers are fairly cheap, easy to deploy/replace, can be reinforced with other materials, and can be effectively covered in razor wire so that climbing would be next to impossible. Remember, no border is 100% impenetrable, this would ensure a cost effective border that could be feasible for a project that spans over 2,000 miles. Again, come back down to reality and realize these wet dream 100ft border walls will never happen.

No, we use hescos to catch small arms and shrapnel.

It doesnt do shit for people

I keep saying this, but everyone thinks it's a stupid idea even though it's the most cost effective ways to keep them out.

You need 50-100 high speed fans
Should cost ~2 million

Take those fans, move them to board and point them south at the boarder.
To make an air-wall.

Phase 2: you need 400 to 600 windmills.
Should cost ~6 million.

Point the fans at the windmills so they spin.
To cross the boarder, Mexicans would need to dodge razor sharp windmills and climb over an air-wall created by the fans.

The windmills will generate power to keep fans going at all times, and the fans keep the windmills going at all times.

How about we just kill all the mexicans and create a 100mile wide zone of death south of the border?

Gunna need a diagram senpai

Just irradiate the border

...

someone clearly plays autism simulator

sure thing lex luthor
hey how much wildlife is that gonna kill?

Absolutely.

This could be incorporated into the design, possible directly infront of the barrier to make digging under it very difficult to do undetected.

Everyone wants to think we'll have a Great Wall 2.0 but this just can't and won't happen because of the cost alone. The engineering is another very large problem that most "build wall" people can't wrap their heads around.

Hescos can also be filled with concrete, so that's another possibility, but would cost considerably more to do..

Non-permenent solution. Hesco barriers are to labor intensive to set up and more importantly maintain.

Pic related is what you want.

Easy to pre-fab. Set in place with rough terrain crane and your done. Also explosion resistant. Practically no maintenance and easy to repair too.

we need a moat full of aussie critters snakes, spiders an shiieet

tunnels
tunnels

tunnels.

>Lack of basic physics knowledge

Never seen these before, I like them.

Do they go into the ground fairly deep as well?

Those jumping beans also love to dig so we gotta nip that in the butt.

The wall will menace with spikes and pictures of Trump! I have seen it!

greatest ally know how to build walls, i'll give them that

Entrench the barriers

Entrench

Entrench.

it's pretty easy to climb up welded mesh fame

For a huge wall would require too much maintenance imo.

Hahaha, stupid shill. Tell that to the Chinese. None of you liberal dipshits are familiar with the Great Wall, and not a single Caterpillar Tractor was used to create the Great Wall.

Furthermore you are a defeatist loser proposing a very ghetto afghanistan-tier border. That might be suitable (for a liberal retard person living in a shitty one story house like yourself, but we Americans have class and a lot of desire to build this wall, so it will absolutely be strong, tall, and magnificient.

Slide harder, cry harder shill shithead.

Are you retarded? srs

kys fuckboi

>great wall of china
>Emperor worked millions of chinese to death building it

Ground penetrating radar

>mexican climbs border
>brings a chair with him
>jumps off the wall on the chair
>jumps off chair right before he hits the ground
>lands safely

drumpffags are so dunb

just fill them with concrete and rocks and shit then top it with razor wire then build anouther row right next to it

>Trump personally takes care of the financial planning for the wall
>Has the USACE design and build it
>they use hescos but fill them with concrete
>now we have solid poured blocks the size of those in the pyramids
>no hand holds to climb them and you'd need C4 or a week of jack hammering to get through them
>try to dig under them and the weight will literally collapse your tunnel unless you're a couple hundred feet down

>mfw it comes in under budget and on time

But jeb told me there wouldn't be a wall

WHY ARE WE BUILDING A WALL WTF COLLEGE COSTS $30,000 A YEAR AND WE REALLY THINK MEXICANS CROSSING A DESERT IS OUR MAIN CONCERN?!

Honestly, our priorities are so fucked. Fix the roads. Get rid of politicians. Reform education.

This wall will take forever, be costly, make Mexico hate us (check your fucking produce department, all of your shit is going to cost 100% more), and in the end, Mexicans will just find another way inside.

We could be doing much better in this society. baka trumptards

Honestly, the most important part of the wall is the network of cameras (NV/IR) blanketing every inch of the border. Just make sure that every part has at least two cameras covering it just in case one camera goes down. If two consecutive cameras go down at the same time, deploy troops immediately.

Bingo.

>this

>make Mexico hate us
They already hate us bernie

you want my input, i have tried to talk practical solutions but noone ever does...

Wonder why our education system and just cost of living overall has skyrocketed over the past 20 years. Maybe it's all the illegal immigrants not paying into the system they abuse horribly.

Really activates the almonds doesn't it?

>Trying to have a rational, logical, conversation on a Mongolian throat singing board.

I should have known this was a sisyphean task.

It wouldn't be so bad if illegal immigrants weren't responsible for a significant portion of crime in the areas they live, didn't abuse every social safety net available to them and didn't send huge chunks of the money they make in the US (legally or otherwise) outside the country.

The thing is, you have smart, lawful, hard working people with educations who spend years, YEARS waiting in line to navigate the immigration system and they are being ignored in favour of the aforementioned borderhopping assholes.

Fuck... My father is American. Based on this, I should have Jus Sanguinis, but the US Federal government turned my application away because his TAX DOCUMENTS didn't qualify as proof enough in their eyes that he was in the country the requisite number of years for me to get citizenship through him. Their justification: He didn't "earn enough" (8k when the minimum wage was 3 USD/hour). Completely arbitrary? Yup, though they took offense to it being labeled as such. "Blood Right" my ass.

half of the border is the rio grande which makes tunneling impossible so the necessity for a high concrete wall is not there which saves money and time

thats prob the biggest time and money saver there

Are you retarded? Every illegal we deport saves taxpayers like $700k. That alone will pay for the fucking wall.

college prices are a wealthypeople problem
mexicans taking jobs is a poorpeople problem

eat the rich

Where does that number come from

I'm a fan of this idea But would be afraid of the cost because of concrete for 2000 miles, and who knows how many layers of barriers would be used.

That being said, this is probably the most cost effective method of securing our border without turning it into a multi-decade effort.

If more anons from the boarder areas just shot more illegals they would be to afraid to cross. You lazy fucks are no better than the mexicans taking your land.

>eat the rich
Podesta plz go.

>le quintessential trumptard.

Just put some shekels on the outside part of the wall and the kikes will tear that shit down themselves.

>American physicists

>emperor of the USA
>not working millions of beaners to death building a wall

i actually hate to say that every time but i am a civil engineer so i actually understand shit

i disagree with your proposition because its not practical and will increase deadlines and the budget of the wall

this is by far the best solution

How to fuck Is it so hard to build wall, fuckin Chinese did it over centurys ago for huns and that motherfucker Is still standing.

Also wouldnt landmines and barbwire fences, be cheaper and easier to build

It reminds me of the Great Wall of China. Just that the chinese model is made of dirt.

Worked around CEs when I served. Learned a bunch but would love to know why you think the idea isn't practical?

Seems like it would make the cost, timeframes, and most engineering problems surrounding a 2000 miles border wall minimal. What gives?

must be plenty of these left over from iraq and aghganistan could further lower the cost

It's easy to build a wall when you have free slave labor to build it. Unfortunately we have to pay people to do things now and enslaving an entire race is typically frowned upon.

>landmines
>now you cant maintain shit or get into specific spots

A trench somewhat like pic related but wider and deeper could work too.

The real key is setting up surveillance cameras and other sensors to remotely monitor the border, and rapid response teams to intercept anyone trying to cross.

All this effort to stop people from finding a job selling corn or mowing lawns

Seems kind of pointless?

Are you nuts drunk rednecks with a free pass to shoot people we would have hundreds of them shooting each other wait on second thought.

that and crippled wetback children who stepped on landmines are bad for pr

Put illiegal mexicans build to wall, you use them as slaves any way.

Or maybe you should build some factories and make some jobs to mexico and secure working enviroment for workers then maybe they would not come to Usa anymore as slaves for your factories.

How Western countries are so shitty to keep their borders anyway?

several reasons some are just practical other have logistical problems that come up with a time consuming project

you have to minimize manual labor and the presence of workers and maximize the use of heavyduty vehicles

take into perspective a flat portion of the wall in arizona or new mexico and how long it would take to build 1 kilometer or mile of the wall

you cannot say 2000milles you break them down into differentials of 1 unit (1mile) and assign a type of construction environment

Its a fucking dessert what you should maintain over there?

Why don't we just build a moat?

>2nd world country
had no idea mexico was a soviet union territory

youtube.com/watch?v=79KyBuO6MSs

Would it be cheaper to annex Mexico, turn it into less of a shithole, and build the wall further south?

Dont the vast majority of your illegals fly in "visiting on vacation " than overstay afterwards.

Anyone got actuall estimate figure on how many cross the actual border a day or last year

Mexicans crossing illegally should be sent to labor camps and pay for the ones we don't catch

I wish this would all come true so i could sit back and watch all the republicans bitch when froots and other products that Mexicans harvest go up so much they can not afford them

>Lack of basic satire knowledge

Just landmine the whole thing and be done.

oh come on now your talking to republicans here facts are of no use

and watch all the animals and kids blow up

The most cost-effective is to have the people who patrol the border kill on sight anyone trying to invade.

And then send the corpses of the slain to various Latin American cities.

his ass, like all other drumpftard "facts"

>instead of tunneling to find gold and silver
>they tunnel to get to america
why?

The most logical solution.

Gonna need a shitty paint diagram

Yeah, we'd have to replenish them periodically for a month or two at first, but after that they'd learn.

that's a bad comparison

you're comparing an aggregate number to a yearly number

of course it will be much higher

>you have to minimize manual labor and the presence of workers and maximize the use of heavyduty vehicles
WHY NO ONE EVER THOUGH ABOUT THIS BEFORE?
youtube.com/watch?v=PuvrTVcCNEU

Fuckers need to get serious about protecting the border. If they really want to keep people out, then a wall is not enough. Once word gets out that cousin Juan got killed trying to cross the border, people will stop trying. How many people got killed trying to get IN to E. Germany? That's right, not too damned many.

dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2756847/Who-goes-Samsung-reveals-robot-sentry-set-eye-North-Korea.html

i was saying that in response to his method

and traffic roads are different from maintenance roads that would be needed along the wall during and after the construction

I'm a big fan of this idea

His policy has already stated that it doesn't need to be completely 2000+ miles and not all of it has to be a wall

I'm betting that with NAFTA renegotiation we have enough leverage that we could get them to cover the cost. I'm looking forward to it.

Cost effective

How do illegals effect your day to day?
