It really was the best and last attempt at running a cartoon friendly network. The big 3 all suck.

I saw every episode of Batman Beyond, Men in Black, and Transformers G1 for the first time thanks to their reruns.
I would tell you to go back to /mlp/ but My little pony is getting a reboot soon and hopefully I won't have to see Alicron Twilight ever again. So there's hope.
How so? Support your statement with facts & reasons.
Fine, though an user pretty much pointed it out here That being said, it was the last bastion of preserving the old and presenting the new, it had tons of old shows like and not limited to Batman, Jem, Transformers, Animaniacs, etc while also presenting some good quality new programming like TF Prime and FIM, and for the sake of argument nevermind just the cartoons, they had really fun promo stuff in terms of bumpers and aired a lot of 90s stuff like Clarissa and RL Stine crap, it was just overall a fun great network.
While it existed largely to promote Hasbro brands, it did so in a way that made them entertaining and enjoyable. Whether or not you like horse, you can't argue that it was the channel's standout success, and it was responsible for the last true relevance of GI Joe, even if that was ultimately a failure. It also had a sizable backlog of quality reruns for nostalgiafags.
Perhaps best of all, it wasn't afraid to try new things, even if they weren't guaranteed to be smash hits. They did give us both Dan Vs. and the Aquabats Super Show, after all.
Most Sup Forums fags probably have no idea what G.I. Joe is, they're just here to talk about Teen Titans and the MCU
It felt like a rebirth of Kids WB. The good years.
Fucking Discovery. If they hadn't pulled rank they were gonna add Pinky and the Brain, Freakazoid, and the Super Mario Bros Super Show/Captain N.
I miss this channel because I never got the chance to watch Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures back when they were airing those shows.
I miss the channel and now that I learn this, fuck Discovery even more.
>Mario
>Captain N
Dodged a fucking bullet
You can't make a successful network off of reruns. Nostalgia has a limited shelf-life and people don't stick around for very long. Remember The 90s Are All That? It was huge on twitter, and Sup Forums had many threads. I don't even think it exists anymore.
The block is now "NickSplat" and still airs nightly IIRC
Fuuuuuuuck
What Said
What about the kids? They've never watched these shows
>You can't make a successful network off of reruns.
Most of the money in TV is made off of syndicated reruns. Just go on your cable guide and see how many channels are 90% old sitcoms.
It wasn't not successful because of actual failure, it was because of behind the scenes bullshit. Other networks wouldn't air Hasbro ads because they now owned a network themselves. It succeeded, it was killed because of men in suits. The content was better than any other network.
>You can't make a successful network off of reruns.
Were you literally born in 1999?
Aside from CN, Nick, Disney what other channels are there or were there?
>Perhaps best of all, it wasn't afraid to try new things, even if they weren't guaranteed to be smash hits. They did give us both Dan Vs. and the Aquabats Super Show, after all.
And they failed because they were on a channel promoting toylines.
>it was because of behind the scenes bullshit. Other networks wouldn't air Hasbro ads because they now owned a network themselves
Added to this, it had horrible carriage. Most cable packages didn't have it. Not nearly enough to justify TF Prime's cost, anyway.
>still mad
I really miss it. I came to see what the brony hype was about, only to stay for everything else that wasn't pony, game shows, or nu-Transformers.
Dan vs., Pound Puppies, and Haunting Hour really kept me hooked on the channel until they slowly started to dwindle from no new content to just not being on the air anymore.
The channel seem to be going so strong, and then it's like they succumbed to exhaustion, probably trying to keep up with the overwhelming success of MLP.
>The big 3 all suck
It should really become "the big two and Disney XD"
Why do you think Full House has been getting reruns on Nick at Night for twenty fucking years?
People want nostalgia and simple escapism.
