Watch a 2010's cartoon

>watch a 2010's cartoon
>it's influenced by anime

It never gets any better user. Never.

Was it just the art style, or was the story influenced too? As a matter of fact, what cartoon is it even?
Depending on your answer might indicate your level of taste.

...

what'd you expect, when a lot of the folks coming into the industry now were the kids in the class who would be drawing out of these book, had fingerless gloves and wore fedoras? your local library's anime club probably has a dude trying to get into the industry right now

It depends, if they're just picking up on themes and concepts it can be fine, but when they straight up use anime cliches it can be fucking embarassing

Like when SU did the "I'll have to use THAT" bit verbatim, that was horrendous.

and then they say that the shot school is a bad thing

>its still objectively and subjectively worse than the shit no budget anime from 1999 it's "influenced" by

>influence they take is never the attention lighting, the fact they use parallax on the backgrounds or dwell on the silence. Just the superficial stuff.

It's worse when comics do this

U got a problem with anime, son?

Name 17 examples.

Name some examples. I want to see how many are influenced by One Piece.

They've been doing it since the early 2000's.

Because most of the modern young animators spent their childhood watching anime, duh

Yeah, Bruce Timm definitely was not in the slightest inspired by anime for his character designs.

People have been influenced by anime for years ya ijit.

To be an animator and not at looking at anime is to be hopelessly backwards.

Weebfags detected.

I actually held off watching Avatar for the longest time cause I thought it would be "le wacky anime face" shit like Teen Titans or Totally Spies.
