Good evening user, what's that you're watching on TV? Wholesome, virtuous cartoons, I hope.

Go away grandpa, I'm either illegally downloading an episode of chinese cartoons or streaming it via some website or streaming service

Something I'm sure you'll enjoy, Father.

>Watching TV
Do I look like some kind of normalfag to you?

It's rape porn

Go back to you’re choirboys Father O’Reilly

Nah. Just propaganda about how the world is fucked, America has already been taken over by ISIS and my only friend is an AR-15.

No, all cartoons are from the Devil, unlike Anime which is wholesome.

Thanks to Sup Forums I am watching George of the Jungle, basically, a Satan's classic.

Im watching sailor moon and every 30 min i pause at a panty shot and jerk off and spray all over my living room. You got a problem with that padre?

>wholesome cartoons

You're the one who's got Boku no Pico bookmarked on your computer, father. I'm surprised you even know how to work one.

The M16 is the blessed weapon of god

Why the fuck would a christian even go on this site, let alone make an anime girl mascot out of a religion which would hate many things that make anime the thing it is.

Christianity just needs a little updating user

>Christianity just needs a little updating user
Thats an understatement. Its like saying islam just needs anger management as a culture.

There's a Puritan misconception that certain images and forms are inherently wrong, when in reality the creation of inherently evil images (as opposed to the effects of morally reprehensible behavior on the soul) is to create an idol, if a negative one.

Or as far as Sup Forums itself is concerned you could be talking about racism or something, in which case yeah, fuck racism.

Christianity needs to stop trying to be "fun" or "relevant" and to instead engage the ideological and spiritual consciousness that's cast it aside. It needs to stop putting on this little show of being harmless.

I'm writing an animated movie about Christianity in the modern world, ask me anything.

>Christianity needs to stop trying to be "fun" or "relevant" and to instead engage the ideological and spiritual consciousness that's cast it aside. It needs to stop putting on this little show of being harmless.
>I'm writing an animated movie about Christianity in the modern world, ask me anything.
Do you think things like idols, sex, and other things in todays media is sinful. Why do you believe the things that you do, as even though i was raised christian i never got anything positive out of the belief. Also, whats your favorite character and cartoon series?

...Todd, is that you?

>Why the fuck would a christian even go on this site
They would go to boards that are about things they are interested in. Like this board is about comics and cartoons, so if a Christian enjoys comics and cartoons they might go here. Same as anybody else. Not that complicated.
>let alone make an anime girl mascot out of a religion which would hate many things that make anime the thing it is.
A lot of Christians watch anime. It's not all traps, incest and yuri. Like any other form of media it contains a wide range of material, much of it wholesome.

Sin is something that describes actions, not images or anything else. If you made images that serve the sole purpose of insulting or demeaning others then that's wrong, but portraying stories that realistically or artistically have sex is fine. Sex isn't even an inherently bad thing, or something that needs to be kept quiet about.

I was raised religious and I've never found any reason to stop. I don't find the common arguments against religion particularly convincing, though I guess I can see why someone who isn't as familiar as I am with Christianity would. The rest of the issues come down to perception of the Church and the individual struggles people have been given because of it, which are very real (I even kind of have that anxiety in the backstory of one of my characters. I might drop it because I'm scared it's too on the nose).

>Why the fuck would a christian even go on this site
Where else am I gunna find the sinners who actually hate the this prison of a world they feel trapped in? I mean, sure I could go check some opium dens, but there you've the problem of hoping they're coherent enough to actually understand the words you are saying (that and nobody's ever been stabbed with an dirty needle through standard network cable yet.)

>Tolkien posting
Mah Brotha, his ideas on the concept of 'sub-creation' significantly altered how I view the making art into almost a 'sacred act' of imitation. Weirdly it altered both my understanding of 'how can a good god permit evil?' (it is narrative necessary that failure be possible and demonstrated for the characters story to have meaning) as well as 'how can the creator love people, and damn them at the same time?' (an artist or writer comes to love all of his creations in some way, even the evil or vile characters doomed to a bad end, because they are my creations, they 'belong' to me and I understand them in a way nobody else ever can.)

>If you made images that serve the sole purpose of insulting or demeaning others then that's wrong, but portraying stories that realistically or artistically have sex is fine.

So Andrew Dobson IS the most sinful man in the world. I knew it!

>A FUCKING SAND RELIGION

I don't have the exact quote on me but in Paradise Lost, John Milton basically stops the story and explains via narration that Adam and Eve had sex in the garden of Eden, and how frequent sex between married couples is what God intended. He goes on to say that people who contradict this notion or claim that Adam and Eve only started having physical relations after the fall are allies of Satan.

John Milton isn't in the Bible, but he's one of the most well respected authors in the Christian world.

>A snow nigger religion

what a coincidence, i'm actually watching Gumball

There was in the manga, it ends with her getting double teamed by big brown Saracen dicks and loving it

This site has tons of porn on it. Even on safe boards, it's common to discuss or describe things of an explicit nature, whether humorously or otherwise. Obviously, whether this is allowed depends on one's denomination, but many are pretty strict when it comes to sexuality, and other weird shit and ideas we talk about.
That being said, there are some denominations so lenient as to allow anything as long as you're not hurting others, and there are others that condemn everything from sex, videogames, and oriental cooking as demonic, and there are branches for everything in between.

What denomination are you, out of curiosity?

>Le cherry picked example from vice
Great argument matey brilliant

Like Varg is any better. He's a welfare bum who lives in the forest.

>you’re

Father O'Reilly was just a bunch of choir boys standing on each other's shoulders wearing a cassock and pretending to be an adult!

>delicious brown
>sweet
>adorable
>pregnant
>virgin
Hi padre, I was watching some Christian animation that showed me how waifu-able the virgin Mary is.

Father it's the 21st century. My TV is strictly for playing video games, I only stream cartoons on my phone like everyone else

The Goldbergs actually

...

There's nothing wrong with talking about sex. Obviously Christians would disagree with the attitude about sex expressed by a lot of people on Sup Forums, but that's fine, we're allowed to read opinions we disagree with.

...

Wait I have been watching that sailor Moon crystal and she is a gamer in that. How does a gamer not know how to use a computer?

We're not just talking about discussing sex.
We're talking cheesecake threads, fap threads, and other sexually themed threads, and weird greentext fantasies stories written for the purpose of titillation. These things are common enough that it would warrant a devout practitioner avoiding this place. And that's only the sexual stuff.

Obviously it's better not to enter a thread if you think it's gonna tempt you to sin, but I don't think just being here is that big a deal. I mean Jesus hung out with drunks and hookers, without approving of everything they were doing. I don't think I'm somehow gonna be 'contaminated' just by being here.

Yeah, there's a lot of lusty stuff, though you have to realize that at the same time a lot of it is drenched in comedy and irony and the sheer "this is absolutely stupid that you're turned on by these cartoon drawings," and how the thicc and LONDON memes that left their lonely virgin origins and turned into part of the general board culture.

It's a really multifaceted type of entertainment, kind of like how vaudeville emerged as a blend of physical gags, racial stereotypes, erotica, and quirky technological advancements. All of those elements are present but none of them are totally defining. I see a lot of parallels between that and Sup Forums, and even things like Shadman and Z0ne.

Catholic

>These things are common enough that it would warrant a devout practitioner avoiding this place
Nigga just don't click on those threads?

>Catholic
>having at least some familiarity with Shadman and Zone
Back when I was still Catholic, I would self-flagellate and pray for hours on end because I was ashamed of having sexual desires.
My church might have been a bit extreme with their sermons, but the rules are still the same.

How can you live from day to day?

Saging because this thread doesn't really belong on Sup Forums.

I want to marry Christ-chan and then hold her hand

>self-flagellating
What the fuck man. Do you think God wanted you to hurt yourself? The early Jesuits agreed that was nonsense. Pio agreed that was nonsense.

Understanding, observing, and empathizing with those who don't understand what you do is an essential part of Christianity. Christianity isn't something that refuses to admit the difficulty and complexity of life exists. Having the courage to face the complexity of life, of desire and sex (and I don't want to say too much, but my movie is set in a time when sex was a really big thing on people's minds, I don't shy away from it) with bravery and understanding over guilt and shame, that's the theme of my film.

Varg is pretty much the same thing except he is in worse shape.

>I would self-flagellate

Wut?

Of course. Wholesome cartoons about children having adventures and learning lessons about friendship.

Stroking myself through my underwear all the while.

>preaching what Christianity should mean to people when countless denominations with countless interpretations do the same
Also, didn't both Mother Theresa and John Paul II also self-flagellate?
>Do you think God wanted you to hurt yourself?
Yes, I did.
If that's what Christianity means to you, then more power to you. I'm glad it gives you meaning and purpose. But you telling me what it should have been for me doesn't change anything.

Did anyone see this movie?
What was it like, besides Mary being waifu-bait?

Yes, starring the most virtuous boy.

Requesting you put satans head getting attacked.

>when countless denominations with countless interpretations do the same
That's true in religion and in anything. If everybody thought the same way about everything nobody would ever speak.

>But you telling me what it should have been for me doesn't change anything.
No it doesn't, and addressing the unchanging difficulty of the past is the only way to hope to make things better for the future.

Bring back any suppressed memories user?

Bro what's with all these catholics on here? I thought the only people that were catholic were living in non english speaking countries (Italy, ireland)

Does Moral Orel count as wholesome and virtuous?

I don't know, but it's a pleasant surprise. I thought I was the only one

Because mental gymnastics are a treasured American pastime, user. I'm surprised you don't know that.

There's a fuckton of Catholics in states like New York and New Jersey.

Also a bunch of you-know-(((whos)))
