Bump

They))) are losing their grasp

The only thing you need to know about America is if some one shows up to your country and starts killing you, it's not US.

its none of your business dirty goy

We've been hearing this shit since the vietnam war

How true is this "an empire only lasts 250 years" meme?

He's right. Your time has come you fucking heebs

Shoo shoo electric jew!

No shit. It's called demographic shifts. In 30-40 years, we'll be another Brazil.

He's finally read some caryle.

This putrid leftist piece of shit has spent a lifetime spewing this garbage. Of particular note, he was one of the guys during vietnam accusing soldiers of being babykillers.

When he dies, I'm going to dance a tidy little jig.

>The rising opposition to the neoliberal assault highlights another crucial aspect of the standard convention: it sets aside the public, which often fails to accept the approved role of “spectators” (rather than “participants”) assigned to it in liberal democratic theory. Such disobedience has always been of concern to the dominant classes. Just keeping to American history, George Washington regarded the common people who formed the militias that he was to command as “an exceedingly dirty and nasty people [evincing] an unaccountable kind of stupidity in the lower class of these people.”

>In Violent Politics, his masterful review of insurgencies from “the American insurgency” to contemporary Afghanistan and Iraq, William Polk concludes that General Washington “was so anxious to sideline [the fighters he despised] that he came close to losing the Revolution.” Indeed, he “might have actually done so” had France not massively intervened and “saved the Revolution,” which until then had been won by guerrillas — whom we would now call “terrorists” — while Washington’s British-style army “was defeated time after time and almost lost the war.”

Shots fired.

Empires are generally tested around 250 years. That doesn't mean they fall apart, though.
For example, Rome transformed from a republic to an empire after 250 years. It wasn't until 500 years that Rome fell apart.

Who knows how it will go with America, though.

This smug Jew cunt can go neck himself.

VON DER MAAS BIS AN DIE MEMEL

>the goyim are refusing to obey
>we better collapse this nation and move onto infecting another

America became an empire via overwhelming industrial power and maintained it with money games.
The money games have become unsustainable and the industrial power no longer exists.

The decline of the US began in the 60s and hasn't stopped. We're hoping Trump is the answer to this, but we'll see.

This. I can't wait to laugh at lefties once their retarded anarchist idol dies.

He meant, "I'm a gigantic pseudo-intellectual faggot, please rape my face!".

He knows it is the opposite and is depressed that the Right is who is rising up against the manufactured consensus. This is a man that spent most of his free time for the past 40 years expounding on how the elites and the media conspire to control the populace. He hoped to inspire the Left to tear down the facade. Now, as he nears the end of his life, he sees the Right doing exactly that and it depresses him.

Hasn't he been saying this for 40 years now? Just die already.

The biggest mistake Chomsky ever made is to think that American revolution is not worth fighting for eventually. - Hitchens

He meant give me more money because I'm hack with no real life skills so I work off donations and gibsmedats
Also if he doesn't like America so much why doesn't get the fuck the fuck off our clay?

Chomsky doesn't speak any language other than hyperbole. He's trying to express that he's butthurt but he doesn't know how.

That America is an empire in decline.

Yeah he's a liberal smug cunt that surrounds himself with other liberal smug cunts. It's like Jonestown in a classroom.

Do you not know history? The Republic lasted 500 years(though arguably the moment Sulla had to cross the Danube to put shit back in order it was dead)
Empire itself lasted until around 523 CE iirc
Technically if you want to count Rome as both the republic and empire it lasted just over 1k years

Australia's on the up

I used to have a schematic from my historical philosophy class, but I lost it. It basically states that an empire in the first stages of decline can choose two paths: sharp reduction of the factors causing decline or passivity/exacerbating those factors. I think we all know which path Trump represents.

So, Chomsky is right, America is an empire in decline, but it will be no longer from now on.

Did anyone actually read the excerpt? What part do you agree/disagree with?

Rome was a republic for 500 years

explain that to me tarquinius superbus

>rogue state with too much power
>empire falling apart and collapsing
Make your mind up senile old fool

Kek, sharp

>American Empire will collapse any day now!
>says every increasingly nervous leftist daily since at least the Mexican-American war

Heres the book

OY

Trump and Brexit signal the reboot of western civilization out of an age of decay back into an age of universal empire.

Noam Chomsky is a butthurt leftist that has spends most of his time doing mental gymnastics to build up his arguments.

uh yeah

surprised even a lefty can see it though, since they are hastening it
