The Tick

This was the most kino season in a superhero TV show since Daredevil S1.

What do you want to see in S2 Sup Forums?

Chairface.

I don't have netflix, so I haven't seen it. There's ONE thing I want. And that's the normal everday EVIL IS GOOD YOU CAN'T STOP THE FREQUENCY EAT MIDNIGHT BOMBS YOU COPPERS

> amazon original
> netflix
user...

Seconding this, also want more super heroes for those 2 to meet

You expect the EVIL MIDNIGHT BOMBER WHAT BOMBS AT MIDNIGHT to know his streaming services?

it was pretty kino. The Sup Forums live action trinity is now
>The Tick
>Legion
>Happy!

Is Walter supposed to be a former superhero?

Chainsaw Vigilante and Red Eye

I hope he's someone crazy like Paul the Samurai

>Chainsaw Vigilante
I'm pretty sure Overkill is supposed to take his place.

>I’m not trying to take over the world, I’m trying to get it back.....

>Frozen by Superion

Superion/AEGIS confirmed for S2 villains.

Yeah, but Overkill has stopped killing indiscriminately. Hell, he might take up the Blue Blazers again.

So is the Tick a psychic manifestation of Arther’s powers? Is that why we had the flashback of Arthur and the blue strobe light?

I think that The Tick is Samson and something that happened when The Terror killed him tethered them together.

He’s Christian Soldier.

I hope they go full venture bros with the bureaucracy of AEGIS.

I wonder if that was literal or just like the shit Lex Luthor says.

>This was the most kino season in a superhero TV show since Daredevil S1.

Do Sup Forums really really hates Legion that much?

Probably a little of A, a little of B.

Like Aegis is an organization and probably mucks things up for people because everyone on the committee has their inside trading and little agendas. There are no "pure" super heroes because of this - everyone is tainted by association to Aegis.

But at the same time, it's also a retarded super thing and everyone at least thinks they're doing the right thing, and the majority of people don't realize how dangerous powerful Aegis is because it's still not overwhelmingly corrupt yet.

He's decided to hang up the gear after being thwarted time and time again by a pack of Reptilian crime fighters.

I suspect Superion's basically an alien escaped convict. His crashed ship that's coincidentally the only thing that can really hurt him? Prison cage. "Trying to be a good person" implies he wasn't before.
I guess the Terror found out the truth somehow and assumed Superion was just like him only better at hiding it?

The Mad Bomber What Bombs at Midnight.

Can't believe he wasn't in the first season.

Nah I don't think Superion is a bad guy. Just a dupe. AEGIS, yea I'm sure they are as Midnight also alluded to.

How are are your feet anons

>kino
>tv show
frigg off Sup Forumsfag

>Superion

I doubt it, at worst he's being manipulated by them but he outright said he just wants to be a good guy.

He's honestly the best Superman Expy I've ever seen a comedy series do, everyone else just goes "Lol Superman would be a huuuuugeee asshole and make fun of everyone and dick around with people and only do what he wants." This guy is refreshingly legit!

spoon?

More of my favourite ship.

Seriously I want Arthur to realise what he has here

Overkill's mainly a Punisher parody so he's taking Bigshot's place. Chainsaw Vigilante was more of a guy who hates superheroes. Honestly though since Amazon is going to pick up Ennis' The Boys, the Tick show could use Chainsaw Vigilante to be a stand-in for them.

The best part is when he tells the military they aren't going to be shooting the VLM on his watch then heats his assistants coffee with his heat vision.

Also I'm not sure what killing the bees has to do with taking back the world, so I don't think The Terror is totally on the up and up.

I think it could be possible for the Terror to be right and wrong. Like what if Superian was just some douchebag back on his home planet who got arrested for say drunken brawls or something, but then had an epiphany and decided to be good while on Earth?

>Also I'm not sure what killing the bees has to do with taking back the world,

"The key to the Terror's plans.... is that they make no sense."

Wait, Happy is actually good?!

He's a hero named The Pediatrist. He gave up the hero life when people kept asking if that meant he fucked kids.

I really hope this is the case.

Is this really that good?
Ive heard only bad reviews so far

It starts a little bit slow but it's amazing.

First half of the season is funnier than the second.

Is anyone else not comfortable with Tick being a sidekick in his own show? It’s made worse due to Arthur being an unlikeable asshole (compared to Overkill who is a likeable asshole).

No. As far as audience stand ins, Arthur is not too bad and it's easier to get Tick into ridiculous situations when he isn't the one in charge of moving along the plot.

Legion is pretty good but uneven, happy is ok, tick is ok

What we all want to see in S2

Do people REALLY have faith in an online series budget to do Chairface justice?

I feel like the only proper way to do it is to get a 4-foot guy to wear an outfit that makes him look 5-feet tall with a lightweight Chair prop stapled on top and then ADR the voice actor afterwards.

But we all know they would just use cheap awful CG and it'll stick out everytime he's on screen.

Chairface won’t work anyway in this serialised style Tick show. He only works in one-off episodes.

I’m holding out on the Urmanian Robot turning into ‘Eastern Bloc Robot Cowboy’.

Ship should just switch to a female voice.

From where

Does this have any callbacks or references to the other two The Tick TV series that came before it?

Sort of

Tick looks at a spoon for the longest time, Arthur says "not in the face, not in the face" when the Terror has his gun pointed at him. Midnight is voiced by the guy who voiced The Tick in the cartoon. Miss Lint's name is Janet.

But then he wouldn't be a homosexual ship.
He'd just be a regular heterosexual ship.

>Do people REALLY have faith in an online series budget to do Chairface justice.
No, but I like enough to put it with shitty CGI for him.

I have said it before, but a more grounded show like this would be great for Chairface because he'd actually be a freak and not a man with a slightly weirder head than his henchmen. And he wouldn't have to be recurring for too long either, he could in theory get a whole arc in three episodes (introduction - gets jailed - escapes from jail).

but he identifies as a male boat. Like a male box.

Don't forget the Tick breaking a coathanger the first time he goes into Arthur's apartment.

Dinosaur Neil

... And Chairface

A heterosexual relationship with a transsexual boat.

Overkill just gets uncomfortable and Dot finds him sleeping in an alley.

A 9000 series shows up played by Patrick Warburton

Tinfoil Paul is a cyborg. A better model than the one the tick fought. Both robots have little horns ans Tinfoil weara tinfoil to stop his home country finding him.

Part 2 was awful. Enjoyed that Whiplash reference though.

THIS and El Seed

I want Patrick to return for an episode or something as an alternate Tick

Maybe I'm a brainlet and the humor got too subtle for me to notice, but I found it not funny at all.
Is it because I'm blinded by the nostalgia of the cartoon? I found the cartoon more humorous than this one.

The Flea huehue

Barry when?

Anyone else pissed off that Overkill and Dot didn't do anything in the finale?

He could play Barry if they do a superhero convention episode.

Terror was a really good Joker.

I swear, if the show actually answers what Tick's backstory is, I will be pissed.
He never had one. Not in the comics, not in the old TV show, not in the cartoon.

The ship is not a homosexual. It can't really be called homosexual, since "homo" means "same" and the object of his desires is so very different from him.
Didn't you watch the show?

This.
Because I want more people to get into him and draw porn.

When we get the larger Superhero community going. Then Warburton can show up claiming to be the "Real Tick"

I'd love it if David Burke also cameo'd.

They had their part. Just turned out Lint is a bit more powerful than previously thought. Upping her level so we can get her try to be a threat alone without the Terror backing her.

Man The Terror was a really fun villain

It gets better, he also added Pumpkin Spice to it with the same heat vision

I liked it a lot. Didn't find it as funny as the 2001 series though.

Season 2 needs to have more superheroes and the larger superhero community.

But is Captain Liberty in it?

Who am I kidding, her costume would never be allowed on a TV show or movie now.

Do people still not understand how The Tick's rights work?

Nope explain

The comics, the cartoon and the first live action show are three entirely different set of rights. As of now, only characters that appeared in the comic before any other media can show up in the new show - think Chairface, Chainsaw Vigilante, etc.
