Guys, I'm so tired of this. I'm too depressed to sleep and to even keep browsing. All the people from my age don't care about religion, at all. One almost scoffs at me for being christian, like wow this is so useless. People make fun of me because no one believes in God anymore. And I can't say anything because they are kinda right, they don't see anything that God could offer them, and I totally understand that. I couldn't tell them to repent, they wouldn't give two fucks because they are atheists. What even, they don't ever think about religion or anything in the universe or where we come from, I don't think they even identify as atheists.
When I sometimes go to the church, there is no one. I don't really go to it every weekend, I'm not a really devoted guy but I sure am christian. And I feel ashamed for pointing the fact that there's only old people at church. Unless you have a job already set up there working in one of the more lucrative, and more dangerous, industries you'll be nigger-tier poor, and probably living off of gibsbucks. Secondly it's a hard and expensive place to live. It's really nice to visit, but I'd never move there. A buddy of mine moved there for about 14 months after we got out of the Marine Corps, and he said he almost lost his mind while he was up there. He made decent money working on fishing boats, but said it wasn't worth it.

I lost my faith as a teen, I had always had doubts, but once I got internet access I found it it impossible to shut them out. I would see people pointing out the same "inconsistencies" in the foundations of Christianity and religion I thought I saw. I've been an atheist ever since. A few months ago, I started researching creation theories(big bang and all that) and they seem at least as ridiculous as any religion. At least the idea of a God provides an explanation("in the beginning, God was") so now I'm looking at religions again when I never thought I would. And surprisingly, it feels good.

I can appreciate the moral philosophy elements of religions, while understanding that the best parts of their moral philosophy run parallel to nonreligious morality, and come in a package deal with the bad bits. A literal, omnipotent God solves all of these problems, because their logic and righteousness is infallible.
