They couldn't even flip a few for Gore, this shit isn't happening.
No, their would be white chimpouts
>HuffPaint
be real dude
It's arguable that this election is much more controversial than the 2000 election.
If it happens, CTR will bombard pol again
And there would be an armed insurrection.
Huff post isn't the only source reporting on this. Additionally there's CBS and Politifact.
They couldn't flip one for Gore, they would need to flip 38 for this one. It isn't happening.
>Politifact
I read the first half of that thinking you were going to name a real source.
>Politifact
Yes, quite the reputable site right there.
About half the states have laws against unfaithful electors, and the majority of those states are red ones. It's literally impossible for them to vote Clinton and have it count.
What's the point of publishing it if the election already happened and there's no truth to it?
The electors are die hard party loyalists. The only way this could happen is if the Republican Party told electors to flip to Hillary. Essentially a 0% chance of this happening.
Now, Hillahry. You're in no condition to fight.
>tell the delegates to vote for Bernie at the DNC
yeah this will definitely work
drumpf BTFO
There will likely be a few electors that break from their pledge to vote Hillary and Trump, but Trump will still win fair and square. You should be more so speculating who the faithless electors vote for.
Because people will still click their disgusting website looking for hope, and they have to maintain their little narrative.
19
Why even have physical electors in the first place then? They should just have a points system which is finalized immediately after the election results come in.
Asking them to flip is going to be asking them to empower the Republican Congress to choose for them.
And they're not going to choose a filthy socialist Commie over one of their own.
232 + 19 isn't 270.
If they wanted an actual Civil war or at least wide spread riots. No way is this happening. I could see no one rioting if Trump lost. But if it was actually taken away by some bullshit backdoor politics. Then I expect to see fucking riots. No matter which way you vote it should be seen as downright moronic.
There was more talk of DEMOCRAT electors not voting for Hillary before the actual election. I know two in Washington state said they wouldn't vote for her.
Maybe we should make a push to get Dem electors to change their vote just to twist the knife.
The idea was that individual State's still had a final say in who they wanted. But nobody forsaw the rise of the 20th Century beast known as the Political Party that broke all jurisdictional boundaries and unified them all under a body that was outside of the usual mechanics of rule of law, accountability and natural justice.
You got further than me. Huffpaint is owned by one of Hillary's good friends.
How does this guy walk down the street and not get knocked out?
Historically speaking, faithless electors have never upset the outcome of an election. More than half of the states have either a law requiring electors to vote for whomever they are pledged to vote for, or have had the electors sign pledges such that they will be reprimanded if they do not vote according to their pledge. However a faithless elector has never been punished either.
The last thing to consider is that the victor picks the electors. Clinton picks electors in the states she won, and hopefully Trump picked electors he can trust for states he won.

>h eatst.com/politics/hillary-clinton-supporters-doxxing-harassing-electoral-college-voters/
>>Supporters of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton have already gotten more than 4 million signatures on a petition asking the Electoral College to toss Donald Trump’s victory. But some, apparently, aren’t content to simply vent their frustrations online.
>>According to reports out of Idaho and elsewhere, Clinton supporters have obtained Electoral College voters’ personal information and are harassing them with calls, Facebook messages, emails and even home visits, encouraging them to become “faithless electors,” and change their Trump votes to Clinton votes.
>>And they aren’t being kind about it: “A lot of ’em use bad, rough language,” said Layne Bangerter, one of Idaho’s electors. “Nothing I feel intimidated over. But we’re watching it very closely. They’ve got our home phone numbers, our cell numbers, our emails, our Facebook. We’re just getting an orchestrated barrage from the left.”
moots friends at buzzfeed ran an article linking the dox.
>it's ok for us to do it but you aren't allowed!
No. Why overturn democracy? The electors were elected by the citizens of their respective states to vote the way the citizens of those states wanted them to vote.
Can someone explain the Bush vs Gore thing to me concisely pls. Wikipedia is messed up.
t. pooinloo
spotted the violence prone nigger
They recounted florida a bunch of times to get bush to win, it didn't work, so they split the state in half so he could get enough.
There's a chance liberal butthurt will reach another high point on December 19th.
>MSM
"Us Liberals decided to play it smart and make it so ~50% of the people in this country who didn't want Clinton, lose their ability to have a voice. We think someone who was obviously caught lying and did some really heinous shit is much more acceptable than someone who shit talks everyone because she had the job. Sure she may have sucked at her job and neglected her duties on the job, or got people killed in that job, but it just feels nice to have a vagina in the white house"
"And who gives a fuck about middle America. Hispanics aren't smart enough to get in legally but at least they love farming. Oh boy I can't wait force half of America to forcibly submit to our peaceful, tolerant, social justice ideals. There's no way anyone will get mad at us ever"
i made a faithless elector states map
They actually include dumb shit like that into the "honesty" rating for candidates. No wonder mainstream media declared him the biggest liar using politifact as a source.
less than a 1% chance of this happening and even if it did, it would result in civil war
Isn't that essentially attempted extortion which as far as I remember is illegal.
Here's how Bernie can still win
Do it.
Do it and vote down Brexit in parliament.
Do it and arrest Le Pen and cancel the Austrian re-election.
See what happens.
The chimpout of all chimpouts starts December 20th if they install Hillary.
Obama and Hillary are backing Trump now.
With them on his side there's no way any of the Electors will change their mind.
Whatever the number, it's +1 as a Washington elector said he won't vote for Hillary after how she fucked Bernie.
it's shopped
But politifact is a great, objective and non partisan site user!
You don't subscribe to fake news do you user?
If they couldn't do it in 2000, it ain't going to happen now.
The only difference is that they are louder because of the internet and social networks, the media is way more left, and they're bigger cry babies.
same case as now
but way closer
gore won popular vote
bush won electoral college... by winning florida with ~300 votes (for reference with trump, it was >10k votes and a few other states)
also, it was the first year florida toyed with machine counting
i'm sure if Sup Forums existed in 2000, the meme wars after the election would be very intense

>Australian education
Political parties have existed since the house of Lords was founded in Britain long before america was a thing.
The reason for physical electors is because before modern communication each state had to physically send someone to Washington so that the states votes could be counted.
Basically the way the system was designed is that the president is not elected by the people, but rather by the states.
Each state was supposed to be sovereign. So they would each hold their own internal election to decide how the state votes.
After that the representatives are sent to Washington to cast their votes on behalf of the state they represent
Each state gets 2 votes just for being a state, plus more based in the states population (minimum 1)
What sore fucking losers. This election will go down in history as the event that really exposed liberals as spineless whiny babies.
No. She conceded.
>the absolute refusal by the liberals to accept democratic elections
when ill it end?

>even Vox is not sufficiently delusional
>diverting possible disaster
how's brexit coming along?
January 20th lol
Hillary legally conceded the election, EC could vote all Hillary and she would not be president as she is no longer a legal candidate.
>tfw i too suffer from degenerative reverse head hair symdrome
Nice trips, shame you fucking wasted it with a shitty comment. March-April 2017 you faggot.
No. If the electors actually did this, two things would happen:
1. They basically nullify their own use. What is the point of having electors if they vote for the candidate that won the popular vote but lost the electoral vote? We may as well actually base it on popular vote. Ironically, them voting against their pledged candidate would prove liberals right: they would be deemed undemocratic - but this time it would be true, and conservatives would have good reason to stick their heads on pikes.
2. I fully expect rioting from conservatives if this happens. I also expecting rioting from dumb liberals that believed their was a chance in hell that the electors would actually do this. Either way, get ready for more violence.
>Politifact
Owned by the Hillary loving Tampa Bay Times
Well she won 1 million more votes than he got .
So more American people want her as the president than the do trump
Many electors have to vote the way the election determined, state laws prohibit them from voting otherwise
u mad dawg?
i see you're an intolerant bigot, so ill give you one chance to apologize before this gets REAL
More Californians, maybe. But they barely count as American or people.
>But politifact is a great, objective and non partisan site user!
I agree
That's not how elections work in the US you dumdum
Do you honestly think that the Republicans are going to ALLOW their OWN ELECTORS to vote Hillary into office? That's beyond stupid.
>can't grow any on his actual face
>only a neck mane
This is just filler for no real news. It gives the lefty losers false hope, but more importantly for media, that hope transfers into clicks/ads.
It's hollow horseshit. Or absolute horseshit. Whichever.
If trump lost but won the popular vote , your be complaining.
Trump himself believes he shouldn't have won.
He called the EC a disaster for democracy
>‘Vote shaming’ Trump supporters is fair. What they have done is shameful
theguardian.com
They are launching an all out media assault after the court decision to make the members vote it down.
>muh polls (that were wrong about the vote in the first place) now say everyone who voted for Brexit regrets it and pls don't leave
>Trump is a racist monster. You're not a racist monster. Change it back.
>LITERAL HITLER WW3 GLOBAL ECONOMIC COLLAPSE NUCLEAR ARMAGEDDON
and of course
>...uh...so...i know you're going to pass it...but hey...lets talk about the details...lets have a "soft" brexit...lets HEAL THE WOUNDS, BRIDGE THE GAP, WE UNDERSTAND WHAT WE DID WAS WRONG BUT LETS NOT FIGHT...
>...WHY AREN'T YOU LISTENING TO ME. I'LL FUCKIN KILL YOU YOU FUCKIN PLEBS
WW 3&4 simultaneously
Bush v gore was way closer. Florida went bush by only a few hundred votes, this mattered because the electoral college was close too and ended up being essentially decided by Florida.
Also voting machines were pretty new back then and several different types of ballots were uses. One type was basically a punch card machine where you put a hole next to the person you wanted to vote for. Sometimes the little piece of paper didn't come off all the way so people were trying to say those ballots didn't count

Hahahahhaahhahahahahahahhahahahhshhahshsghahahahahahahhahhhhhhaaajahahahahahahahahahahhahahahhahhahhahahahhahhahhhahhahaha
Unfortunately, concession speeches don't mean shit.
>What impact does a candidate’s concession speech have on the Electoral College process?
>None. A candidate’s concession speech does not impact the states’ duties and responsibilities related to the Electoral College system.
>archives.gov
Back in 2012 and now he's praising the system. Fuck off, loser.
You know that thing where an armed militia took over some government building a few months ago?
That would happen all over the country. Conservatives have guns and form Militias. Them "rioting" would be far more significant than your typical chimpout.
>If trump lost but won the popular vote , your be complaining.
No way. Popular vote doesn't mean shit.
No you fucking spastic holy shit how uneducated are fucking burgers and this is coming from a cunt in timbucktoo
>Why the mediocre male's days may be numbered
theguardian.com
That goose eventually won that fight
>CBS and Politifact are reporting it as well
LMFAO DRUMPF IS DONE
> He called the EC a disaster for democracy
It is, too bad US is a representative republic.
I really hope you do this, US. Time to drop the pretence of democracy. A full on civil war is what US needs
If they do this we NEED to revolt. There will be no coming back from this, the (((elites))) won't keep up even the pretense of democracy and rule of law. What they have in store will make us look back at the Obongo years as 'the good times'.
>Each state gets 2 votes just for being a state, plus more based in the states population (minimum 1)
The northeast being subdivided into so many tiny states really helps tilt the system in favor of the left. Really tired of the undue influence Delaware, Rhode Island, etc get when they are basically small counties.
This.
Florida would decide the election.
Here Trump won too convincingly.
You also had the fact that the court called off the re-count as it got tighter.
BERNIE STILL HAS A CHANCE GUYS
I've heard that if you count the votes on electronic machines and stuffed ballot, Trump actually won 20,000,000+ more than she did (around 80,00,000) and her at about 40,000,000
Huffington post openly supporting a civil war scenario. Crazy that they say this with no repercussions. I'm not talking legally but there should be an outcry.
the women at huffpo might like drama, but they really don't want to see what a white chimpout looks like.
Its fun to watch this ride.
I feel like they did, when they were bringing in hoares of 3rd world people (fighting age men) into mother Evrope.
Its comfy.
>Is there any chance of this actually happening?
if they did, they'd be asking for war
The Electoral College will elect according to the will of Ryan Cheng in 2020.
Just a reminder: 2000 election gave us the phrase 'dangling chad'
If you spell the name wrong, it doesn't count. Why not get a bunch to make a weird spelling error to pass under the radar?
