So beyond the mention of talking straight and to the point and some stuff about walls, Garrison had no reason to target things like outsourced jobs, illegal immigration, economic inequality and wasteful government spending.

This is one point where they (possibly unwittingly) nailed Trump's rise. Beyond the economy, he is definitely a voice for the battered average person who has been beaten down by the identity politics SJW movements that latched on to Globalism. In the future episodes they're going to info dump all the bad times in Americans history to show that it wasn't always good. In reality this has been one of the most psychologically damaging periods in history and I would take the scares of the cold war of what we have now. Also there have been times in American history, like the 1950s, which some people consider to be the height of humanity.

The writers for South Park at one time were very good at pointing out bullshit and trying to look at things objectively. Now it's almost as if they've grown less mature because their new views are more in line with idealistic teenagers.

South Parks been political for a very long time. They were good at pointing out bullshit for a very long time, they had arguments that were really hard to refute and I hate to say this but 'really made you think'.

The show started losing its impact a few years ago and these past 2 seasons are almost like they're being written by different people.
