Fighting wasn't possible in Srebrenica, so muslims went outside the town and fought with Serbs, then returned into their safe space. Around 3000 Serbs were killed in the villages around Srebrenica, at this point the Serbs had enough of it and made the Dutch leave and killed muslims in Srebrenica.

I'm not Serbian. I'm not even a Slav. I'm just from Pittsburgh and have lots of Serb and Croat neighbors, so I'm kind of familiar with the ongoing conflict.

The term describes them well. Whenever there is a choice of doing things the "Slav" way or doing things the "Western" way the Croats invariably try to cozy up to the West.
