I think it's good. When most people think of him not being "politically correct," they think comments about Muslims or Mexicans, but his true power is in the fact that he can call out bullshit without repercussion. It's refreshing. If something is dumb or doesn't work, he isn't going to sugarcoat it. A good temperament is useless and even counter-productive with the world is burning down around you.

Hard to tell, really. Probably hurt him with some, helped him with others. I think the big thing is that the people who didn't like it could overlook it, while the people who did like it got really fired up about it.
