ITT: Characters who wage endless war?

Apart from Punisher, are there any characters that are pretty much "in love" with the "war"?

Blade is literally Punisher for Vampires, DC has Unknown Soldier.

Batman. Batman would become a villain if he couldn't be Batman, he doesn't want to stop being Batman, which ultimately means he doesn't want villains to stop terrorizing Gotham. He doesn't want peace, he needs the endless crusade as a distraction and vehicle for his own catharsis.

This is an Usagi character, right? I'm not familiar with him, but if he's a Sakai character then he's probably awesome.

He's a monster hunting wizard ronin. Think Geralt but with less time for fucking and politicis, because he's the only thing standing between humanity and destruction from an unstopable monster rampage.

He's also the only one in the entire fucking series who works harder than Usagi.

Which numered trade would have this story, if I might ask? Or even the name of the story?

Ares
War Machine

I'd say he loves his job. At the end of the day, Slade isn't really motivated by anything except getting what he wants, and he wants to be Deathstroke.

Batman OFC.

Beard Hunter had waged a one man war on facial hair.

Stark. He talks of peace and progress, but the dark truth is that he enjoys all the excitement of war. Making weapons is his true calling, much as he tries to deny it.

Yeah, he's Sasuke the Demon Queller.

His first appearance was in Kumo, which was collected in Vol. 14, Demon Mask. That's in Vol. 3 of the Saga Collection.

Then there's Sumi-E, which was in Vol. 19, Travels with Jotaro (Saga: Vol. 4) and his biggest appearance, Traitors of the Earth, which is Vol. 26 (Saga: Vol. 7).

There's also the standalone color book Yokai (Saga: Legends).

Checked, and who said the Devil 'aint helpful?

Of course Satan likes Usagi Yojimbo; he's a man of wealth and taste.

Ennis' version of Nick Fury

it's more of a hobby for him at this point I think

From THE BOYS

He is not the warrior or soldier type though.

meant for

He's generally just into the excitement and thrill of it all. It's why he started doing it in the first place, after extreme sports got boring. Nat would really complement him in that both sorta want a quiet life but are addicted to the thrill, but Marvel's too stupid to pursue the ship. Based Busiek would've done it back in V3, but...
