So she's apparently cutting corporate tax to "lower than 15%", sure she's doing it to help her friends but it will invariably lead to smaller local businesses doing better and growing the economy.
Everyone I know is decrying her as Thatcher 2.0, but honestly this is sounding pretty good.
Thoughts on this, and May in general?

She's copying Trump, I hope this continues. I don't don't mind being Americas lapdog with Trump in charge.

lowering taxes in Britain.....

LOWERING....taxes in Britain...???

LOL, that HAS TO BE a fucking typo!

I've been saying this for fucking ages, this is a great idea

they did it during iron lady's time

maybe she'll be thatcher lite, but in earnest the british better be ready to bite the bullet, they wanted competition and now competitions gonna come i guess

Nope, in fact if this plan is put into place we'll have the lowest corporate tax in the G20, which includes you.

Bringing it back home

Our corp tax has been too high too long.

This is really britains only option, and it could work well provided she doesn't go full thatcher and try abolish the minimum wage or something.

If companies can make a few more shekels for the management and shareholders they'll likely stick around and stop caring about muh Europe

Still worried about this issue with the bank passports, if May can't secure an alternative deal with the EU there may be a good chance of remaining in the single market.

My family runs a multi-million pound business that employs about 30 people. I spoke to my dad (a director) about this yesterday and he said that the tax cut will allow them go expand faster and in doing so, employ 6 more people in that expansion.

Good businesses dont just sit around and hoard money from tax cuts, they see it as an opportunity to expand, and in doing so bring in even more tax, and hire more people.

>abolishing the minimum wage
>bad

Wot
Did you go to a public school, by any chance, dazza?

This

No she's not, its been tory policy for six years based on treasury estimates that it actually impedes growth and tax returns would be higher entirely based upon recouping tax on corporate growth from employees and investment. she's accelerating previous plans as a big fuck you to the single market obsessives.

Ok your tariff and non-tariff costs increase 2/4% outside the single market vs. A comparative tax differential of 15% year on year saving.

Congratulations! This is how actually make a country great again!

to clarify, for those of you who don't get this

a massive drop in corp tax would steal business from elsewhere in the single market. As a result other countries in the EU would want Britain out sooner rather than later so that they can have barriers to stop their businesses moving to Britain.

Not sure if it'll make much of an impact in Brussels because they don't have any real business but hey, every little helps.

Abolishing the minimum wage is only viable in countries not plagued by shitskins willing to work for pathetic chump change. Third world standards will turn the first world into a shithole.

similar story here, my family employs about 25 people but run very tight profit margins,a tax cut should allow us to employ 2 maybe 3 more people

>she's literally less relevant than Gordon Brown

Sad.

When are we going to elect out own PM?

relevant to what?

Well taxation is theft so this is a good start

It's a good thing provided she also guts the regulations strangling small businesses. Otherwise it's just more cronyism for multinationals.

sure sure, magical tree nigger

...

I'm just talking about relevancy as in reputation.

I knew many foreign people who still think Cameron is PM. Some thought Farage was PM after brexit too.

Anyway, we need to grab the dustpan and brush' n' go clean these globalist fucks out of our Parliament.

Tories are run by backstabbing globalists, and always will be.

>I knew
*I know

good

This is good, it's why we should not punish real wealth generators.

>muh trickle
People expect freebies, they don't understand that expansion of business = more people employed and earning, thus more tax is collected to the state overall, it takes time to get this working, then people don't deal with the pain, they elect a party that promises freebies (labour) labour cause problems and the cycle continues on and on and on.

I like May, but the Snoopers Charter needs to be repealed immediately.

snoopers is the MP's threat vs leaving.
EU law stops it being used. Leave the EU and it's game over.

It can be repealed by the Lords continually until the Commons drops it. Or we get (forgot the name of them, that pressure group that is concerned about privacy) to bring it to the high court and have the "independent" lol, judiciary rule it as illegal, I doubt they will though.. Fucking nanny staters, Thatcher wanted laws introduced on the internet years ago. May is just following in Thatcher's shadow, sort of.

>implying UK didnt snoop anyway

the charter just made it legal, they've been using it for ages m8

true lol

>Everyone I know is decrying her as Thatcher 2.0
>decrying
>Thatcher
erryone you know is a northern monkey?
Thatcher was a godsend
she was the greatest

btw, Fillon, the one ahead for right wing primaries in France since this weekend (~44% of the first round votes vs ~26% for the one behind) loves Thatcher, and is pal with Putin

The judiciary can't strike down an act of parliament. The above poster is correct. May tried to introduce this through the EU years ago, and the "Data Retention Directive" was finally issued to apply to the entire union. It was challenged in the ECJ who did have the power to strike it down.

Now that we're leaving the EU, May can reintroduce it as domestic law at will.

What we need is an inalienable bill of rights. Parliament clearly cannot be trusted to respect them.

However it may also be challenged under the ECHR, which we are still bound to even after leaving the EU. Article 8 provides for a right to privacy, and this kind of mass surveillance would be contrary to the principle of proportionality. I suspect an interest group will be attempting it in any case.

The EU will block her.

>Thatcher 2.0

That's a good thing

Absolutely this.
Also, Fillon is way better than Le Pen, don't fall for the "nationalist" meme, Sup Forums, she's shit.

I feel there is something missing though

yep
le pen is a ultra-socialist
ie pretty much the same shit as what France has had for decades and decades

Once again, the Brits prove that they are the master race of Europe. This is why the EU will be run into the ground: it's helmed by socialist cunts like the French who have had a boner for Mandarinism since Louis the 14th.

The French coined laissez-faire but the Brits were actually doing it. Is it any wonder that the shittiest part of Switzerland is the French part? Nope -- the French are chronic bureaucracy lovers.

If we're going outside the EU then that puts us in direct competition so should just do away with corporation tax altogether to fuck them over

UK taxes are probably lower and simpler than the USA

not only Switzerland
look at Belgium (wallonie is alcoholo-inbred shittiest shit tier) or Canada (québec...)
errywhere that is somewhat french, socialism and total fucktardry ensue

>brits are so cucked beyond belief that they think Thatcher 2.0 sounds like a bad thing

It's also true in non-French countries that heavily copied the French model. Bureaucracy and state expenditure were a nightmare in Romania since the 19th century, long before communism.

Why? Francophilia, that's why. Just look at our flag, "tricolorul" -- a shittier version of the French one.

FUCK. THE. FRENCH.

So on our quest to Make Britain Great Again, how do we bring back the accents of Starkey, Fry, and perhaps even Are Mogg?

I at least want the news to sound as classy as it did in the 80s.

Thatcher was a neo-liberal kike puppet.

Are Enoch was the real deal.

>Gun control loving police state woman from the ""conservative"" party who supports fag marriage and other things

really makes me miss nigel

>earning 0.70p an hour at mcdonalds

wew mate

>working at mcdonalds

you are exactly the reason we dont need minimum wage

Daily reminder that the corporations that a low tax rate attracts here will immediately start lobbying the gubment for open borders.

Tax on tea wasn't even that high lol.

>FUCK. THE. FRENCH.
can't disagree, here.
buttraping the socialist hordes through a lil' bit of french Thatcherism sure is part of the appeal

Isn't David Davies pro civil liberties? Our only hope is that Brexit goes well and it allows him to become the leader eventually

Fuck Thatcher and fuck tories

It was about representation Britbong. If you would have let us have even like 2 fucking seats in the Parliament then no one would've given a shit about the taxes.

>decades of intentional spite and mismanagement from the British government versus decades of--
ah

yeah no shit, thatcher's success was breaking up the unions that crippled industry around the country, in doing so she made the economy not fucking collapse again

22% in poverty is far better than 100% in poverty

This guy gets it.

>caring about inequality
>caring about a definition of poverty based in inequality
Typical favela monkey
Also, consider the harsh economic conditions Great Britain was going through just before Thatcher.

MANDATORY VIEWING.

youtu.be/KdFzMLZAXEM

Under her watch, immigration reached levels never before seen in the UK. Don't be fooled by her. She is an opportunist through and through and will only act in the interest of Britain if it suits her ambitions.

Keep her feet to the fire Bongs. Do not believe a word she says until there is actually something concrete. God speed.

The only reason I'm sceptical of the lowering of corporate taxes is that many corporations have so many tax loopholes to exploit that end up paying no tax anyway, like a certain president :^)

...

Not a single argument.

Unregulated capitalism leads to poverty and that's a FACT.

I work at McDonalds, stop trying to make me poorer please.

>Unregulated capitalism leads to poverty

not an argument either, thatcher didnt make them unregulated

get a non entry level job then

Minimum wage was just another step towards flooding our job market with third world labour.

You've been had, m8.

poverty is the natural state, shitwit
and creating wealth is the only way to get out of it
the only ones not getting better with capitalism are leeches and parasites
obviously, I have no problem believing you will get poorer with capitalism
to which I only have one thing to say: serves you right.

>didn't even read my post
In the UK poverty is measured by how much people earn compared to the median. Wages could have risen for everybody yet poverty increased. That's not a bad thing, is it?
And again, who the fuck cares about inequality?

I hate May for being the snooper in chief. She's probably still a better PM than Gove would have been.

If you're over the age of 21 and working at McDonald's you deserve to be poor.

I got this job because I had previous retail experience. This is an experience-required job.

The majority of people who work at McDonalds are over 21, I work with lots of people in their 30s with wives and kids. McDonalds work is a normal job in the modern economy.

Yeah, but its not like the Tories or Labour are about to shut the borders and let wages naturally rise is it.

feminist leader just signed the snoopers chart and threat to take away the power to the house of lords and lowering a tax one of 1000s we actually have in place is some how gonna make me just ignore everything this bitch has done so far and shes only been in office for a months

>mcdonalds
>experience-required

either you operate outside of the franchises, at which point minimum wage wont apply to you anyway, or you are delusional

Cunt.

I'm quite serious, where I live has roughly 10% unemployment, they can afford to be picky.

that sounds pretty shitty area user but fair enough, however that doesnt change the fact its an entry-level job, you arn't supposed to stay there forever

I understand why we are so butthurt about this then, it's half less our own corporate tax. Plus I'm guessing that dividends are not subject to double taxation like in France.

I don't think you quite understand the absolute state of the job market in some parts of the country.

Depends on where you live tbqh.

I dont think you quite understand that the term entry level doesnt magically disappear when goings are though, unskilled work is unskilled work

moving for a career is a common thing

>Implying I can afford to move

>what is a loan, or better yet a deal with the hiring company

if you are worth the company hiring you, them subsidizing you moving house is not rare either

>Thoughts on this, and May in general?

Looks good so far. Keep it up now lets pick a third country to save. Not Germany nothing less then a purge can save them.

> it's half less our own corporate tax

its quite a huge jump for us aswell, 20% is the current rate if you ignore all the ways to reduce it

> Plus I'm guessing that dividends are not subject to double taxation like in France.

its not double taxed, the closest thing on the companies side is you cant count it as a business expense for reclamining VAT

on the other side you have a £5k allowance per year before tax, also your personal allowance if you havnt used it, after that its 7.5% going up to about 39%

This. Financialisation of the economy was the worst thing that has happened to this country.

>Sup Forums arguing that Thatcher was a good thing.
>The same woman that instead of simply breaking the unions to make the UK productive again, sold state assets wholesale.

>The same woman who deregulated the banking sector and began the dominance of the City of London over UK politics.

>The same woman who had us join the EU common market and began the long march towards corporate globalism.

I'm sorry but memes aside, kindly uncuck yourselves.
The unions needed breaking and the UK economy needed modernizing, but instead she turned the UK into a weak, London-centric, service-based economy that is cucked to every whim of the banking industry.
We could have had a strong, balanced econiomy like the Germans but now we are basically just a bigger Switzerland. She was a kike and it shames you for not knowing it.

>it will invariably lead to smaller local businesses doing better and growing the economy.

This has NEVER been the case for supply side economics. Lowering taxes at the top, alone, DOES NOT trickle down. The tax cut only works in conjunction with policies that keep the top percentages in investing in the local economy. There is no "invariably" without an incentive.

>Tories miles ahead
>Have a license to do whatever the fuck they want

There's literally nothing wrong with cutting corporate tax.

The giant corporations find ways around that shit regardless. So the marxist ideas of "muh politicians giving a kickback to their big business friends" is mostly unfounded. The real people that benefit from cutting taxes are small business owners. When taxes are too high, all you end up having are big corporations, because it becomes next to impossible for a small business owner to make a living.

You seem to have us confused with France.

Lowering tax was Thatcher's greatest accomplishment

>believes the state burning wealth created by others even sometimes is a good idea
>has the nerves to call others on their cuckoldry
what's shit in the EU is that it's a superstate
doesn't make smaller states doing the same stupid management of what's not theirs a much better idea

>lowering business taxes but not income taxes and VAT
>income taxes will still be 40% if you earn a measly 30k a year

>>income taxes will still be 40% if you earn a measly 30k a year
Lad...

>get a non entry level job then
posh cunt who sucks dick and has rich daddy detected.

>Close coal mines
>People who worked in coal mines were subsidized with coal and coal fires were the main heat sources in houses
>It's cool though because Chinese coal is imported and costs three times as much
>Which you can't buy anyway because you no longer have a job

This is before you even get into power cuts, privatizing literally everything she could (the fact it helped her Tory chums is pure coincidence) etc. The truth is that we're still trying to undo the damage Thatcher caused to this country, but at least we kept sheep island right. Where you from Surrey, born in '99? Thought as much.

>State burning wealth created by others.
Nigger, you do know that the state assets she sold were turning a profit, right?
Instead of relying purely on taxation, the state-owned corporations could add to government coffers meaning less tax hikes.

Now instead of producing it's own wealth, the state is a literal tax leech. I'd much rather it create jobs and wealth instead of paying for mass unemployment.

Yeah but include national insurance, annual BBC kike fees and stamp duty and it comes to a 30% tax.

May would do much more to boost the economy if she lowered income taxes.

They should cut VAT instead.
