Biggest difference between Mussolini and Hitler was the racism. This might have been because Italy was 99.99% Italian at the time though, so why care about other ethnicities. Jews had no direct presence there.
I remember a Mussolini quote which was something like "fascism should be called corporatism because fascism is the merge between corporation and the state". You could say he was more about economics, while Hitler (while responsible for an economic miracle) wanted a state consisting of Germans only. The reason for this is more than racism though, since Germany before 1870 never was a real country.
