Did you know weed cures radiation, Sup Forums?
DUDE RADIATION LMAO
I'm assuming this is satire
It may be accurate, but misleading. Hemp grows large and quickly, and would technically absorb radiation. The misleading part is the claim the hemp absorbs radiation more than any other plant, which is not true.
Remember, radiation is essentially little particles which are split off from radioactive atoms. If you start growing hemp around these radioactive atoms, they will get in the way of the beta or alpha radiation and thus stop the particle from continuing to travel. Like I said, since hemp grows so quickly, it can be ready in a very short amount of time, which is a bonus. Could any other plant work? Sure, but it'd take longer for those plants to grow and multiply. Hemp also grows very tall. so it blocks a large area off.
So the hemp would contain the particles and then what do you do with the hemp if it's still dangerous? Genocide Colorado with it?
also when it absorbs it and then dies and decays back into the ground it just releases it.
I expected a Canadian flag.
I thought mushrooms were the actual ideal radiation scrubbers
>German humor
I'm serious, Pablo. What do you do with tons of radioactive hemp?
You turn it in to hash oil, it fucking cures cancer so it basicaly shuts off the radioactive atoms YOU FUCKING MUSLIM GERMAN SCUM !!!
Get out of here, stalker!
Also, there are some kinds of mushrooms that can live off of radiation, like plants can photosynthesize with light.
Essentially yes, the hemp would become radioactive and could then be removed and treated as radioactive waste. It's easier to bundle up all the hemp and store it in a lead lined vault as opposed to digging up tons of dirt and dumping it hoping you got all the invisible radiation particles. It's not perfect, but it would technically be a decent idea.
The whole point of the "infographic" is that it's retarded pseudoscience and an overall bait post. You didn't get the joke, and came up with a cringe worthy one yourself.
I'm never joking about genocide fampai
Fucking weeds man.
IF ONLY THERE WERE SOME USE FOR THEM.
>plant absorbs radiation
>now we have radioactive plants
Not a solution, it's always the same shit with liberals.
It would make sense why (((they))) outlaw it.
Could you do the same thing with bamboo?
And then with some lead-lined gloves, become a radioactive staff kung fu master?
>emember, radiation is essentially little particles which are split off from radioactive atoms.
Wrong. Radiation is waves.
Radioactive particles are unstable atoms which decay releasing radiation.
The radioactive particles are in the soil and water, plants might absorb some of these particles, maybe.
One of the radioactive atoms produced by the decay chains is iodine. Radioactive iodine is rather long lived and it can be absorbed by the human body.
I don't know if plants absorb iodine.
All plants absorb fallout. Its just that Hemp grows so quickly and most plants already have a high tolerance to radiation to begin with.
You forgot the last step:
>Distribute the radioactive weed to stoners.
Two birds with one stone.
Not all plants absorb the same chemicals in the same way, and based on a cursory look, hemp is likely very able to absorve the particulate involved because hemp is very good at absorbing the metallic groups involved.
Which is to say: hemp likes to take in metal shit and make it part of itself, what the fuck are you doing smoking something which literally likes to take in metallic garbage in?
would also like to add that the plants don't neutralize radionuclides, just absorb them. after they absorb the radioactive particles, the plants must be collected and burnt.
if anyone is interested this is called phytoremediation (bioremediation) of radionuclides with plants
wrong.
Radiation can be either particles or electromagnetic radiation. Also see Alpha / Beta / gamma decay
Hello what is Alpha and Beta radiation :DDD
Well, youre right about alpha and beta radiation.
The other faggot was wrong anyway.
Any plant will do this.
There are more efficient plants to do it though.
Usually it is done to remove heavy metals from soil.
>caring so much about radiation that can be stopped by paper
You still don't want that shit inside your body. Once it gets inside it can do demage, so what could they want to do with that hemp?
>peter was a regular boy until one day he packed his bowl with irradiated weed from fukushima
>after inhaling this gamma charged ganja he took on a new more powerful form
Carbon atoms are absolute garbage at stopping Beta radiation my dude
Are you a biology major or something ?
>Killing off an exclusively white area
Modern Germany everyone
is this guy fucking trolling?
is this the right place to emphasize how fascinating radioactivity is? The guys in Chernobyl who cleaned the roofs had to endure a couple of seconds of about 8000rem/74Sv and described it as a feeling of "pins and needles all over your face" and a metallic taste lingering in the air...
no he's partly right, the hemp would be gathered and burned:
Kek
And just release everything in the atmosphere again. Or do you think you burn the raditaion aswell
>burn radioactive material
>now you've spread it all in the wind
it's not some germ you can just kill with fire.
Let the stoners smoke it then.
It'll be contained inside their lungs.
You've never been to Colorado, have you? The sheer amount of Mexicans is overwhelming
>radiation is essentially little particles which are split off from radioactive atoms.
alpha particles are protons ie. a particle split from a radioactive atom.
To be honest I didn't really pay attention in that class and only barely passed it, but plants are always burned after the absorption. Maybe in the case of radionuclides there is another step in the process before burning.
No, alpha particles are a helium nucleus; 2 protons, 2 neutrons.
its Urtica dioica you moron
and the good staff THC get destroyed by smoking temp. use hemp oil dont smok it ...
>Drone Strikes of Hemp Seeds
Just... stop talking, ok? Simply don't participate in any debate about radioactivity anymore and you'll be fine.
...
And it's more local and less introduced.
Toxic chemical compounds can be broken down into simpler harmless compounds and elements and released back into the environment. Radioactive elements can only be stored until they decay, which takes as long as it takes.
think of the possibilities for renewable heated flooring...
MAYBE they would burn it to reduce volume while using some extreme filters to not let any radioactivity out.
But I don't know if such filters are even possible.
Seaweed and crustaceans like shrimp are major dietary iodine sources.
reverse osmosis
this isn't a debate about radioactivity, the thread is about phytoremediation
