WAGE GAP

Let us discuss the wage gap. I totally support it. If you don't, please explain why. I will explain in my next post when I can coherently explain my situation.

3 men including myself are part of a team with 5 other women. We fucking bust our asses at (job) and do 2-5 TIMES the work and we all get paid the same $2x/hr.

It's fucking shit, the supervisors are all men who constantly talk/flirt with them and stop them from "working" and the guys have to pick up the slack.

This is why I don't mind the fucking wage gap. It's fucking bullshit.

Best part? When I called them out on it I got shit for not understanding that they're single mothers and they're tired all the time. Fuck you, I didn't get you pregnant. Do your job.

And the best part? We could easily just dick off as much as they can, but that would be stooping to that level and we ALL look bad. We're renewed every year for our contracts so we're gonna just work hard, deal with it and pray they lose their job. Fucking bitches.

The problem with discussing wage gap is that people think just because you have the same title at the same firm that you are just as good and efficient a worker as everyone else with that title at that firm.

It's just not true.

I don't understand, do people really think that if you do the same job, you get paid less if you're a woman?

I can understand if you are hired for a similar position (road work person) as a girl, and you do nothing but jot shit down on a fucking clip board while the men dig the trenches and break their backs. If you get paid less for that, pick up a fucking shovel and don't drag the team down.

So you support meritocracy? That would be a better way to describe your position than just "I support a wage gap" which sounds like you support an arbitrary wage gap

I guess I fall in that category. But I'm very ok with all of us being paid equal for the same position, just do the fucking work and don't bitch about muh women and have it dismissed, where the guys pull the weight. That's where i realize I don't mind a wage gap, because it's fucked up.

And putting aside prior education, men just work harder, longer hours, and more consistently (not taking eick/personal days) than women. They make less because they choose to get useless degrees or not work as hard or as much as men.

I agree. I fucking worked a year straight without calling in sick. What fucking blows is that the girls called in sick LAST MINUTE for arbitrary shit and I worked the holiday season with a cracked rib.
