Walmart

are mom and pop's going to make a comeback?
look at foodtrucks, i think a lot of you have seen them or use them sometimes. small family entrepreneurship led to a lot of what made capitalism successful for the last century. big conglomerate companies are now people with rights too, didn't you realize

for $5.50 i get this fucker right here. one dude making italian wrecking the fuck out of everyone with a name brand.

all of the shit we consume is shipped across the fucking world. 3d printing will help, but small business drives the first world. not mass consumerism

Massive distribution networks makes everything cheaper. Everything being cheaper translates to an increase in pay for everyone who buys those products. Go vote for Bernie Sanders if you want to coddle inefficient systems that make everyone's lives worse.

by increase in pay you meant losing job and living on welfare

Non sequitur.

I meant what I said.

corporations are like countries, they grow and they grow and they get more and more beurocracy and then they collapse under their own weight. Just read some stories from people that work desk jobs for big corporations, they are extremely inefficient, nobody gets anything done without contacting their boss who needs to contact their boss etc.

So yeah, Wallmart will go down sooner or later but seeing as its still relatively young i am guessing alter.

Short of restricting Walmart's ability to expand, there's no way you'll be able to bring back small, independent consumer good stores in the face of a conglomerate that can sell more, employ more, give you more for your money, and basically destroy your ability to compete.

Mom and Pop stores should focus more on novelty or unique brands instead

Sammish looks hella dry

Just because it is not covered in maple syrup?

That pile of shit looks like it was run over by a food truck

I doubt it. Walmart is just going to get bigger and bigger because of its low prices. Lower and middle class people value price over service and quality.
