Walmart

are mom and pop's going to make a comeback?
look at foodtrucks, i think a lot of you have seen them or use them sometimes. small family entrepreneurship led to a lot of what made capitalism successful for the last century. big conglomerate companies are now people with rights too, didn't you realize

for $5.50 i get this fucker right here. one dude making italian wrecking the fuck out of everyone with a name brand.

all of the shit we consume is shipped across the fucking world. 3d printing will help, but small business drives the first world. not mass consumerism

Massive distribution networks makes everything cheaper. Everything being cheaper translates to an increase in pay for everyone who buys those products. Go vote for Bernie Sanders if you want to coddle inefficient systems that make everyone's lives worse.

>Everything being cheaper translates to an increase in pay for everyone who buys those products.
by increase in pay you meant losing job and living on welfare

Non sequitur.

I meant what I said.

corporations are like countries, they grow and they grow and they get more and more beurocracy and then they collapse under their own weight. Just read some stories from people that work desk jobs for big corporations, they are extremely inefficient, nobody gets anything done without contacting their boss who needs to contact their boss etc.

So yeah, Wallmart will go down sooner or later but seeing as its still relatively young i am guessing alter.

Short of restricting Walmart's ability to expand, there's no way you'll be able to bring back small, independent consumer good stores in the face of a conglomerate that can sell more, employ more, give you more for your money, and basically destroy your ability to compete.

Mom and Pop stores should focus more on novelty or unique brands instead

Sammish looks hella dry

Just because it is not covered in maple syrup?

That pile of shit looks like it was run over by a food truck

I doubt it. Walmart is just going to get bigger and bigger because of its low prices. Lower and middle class people value price over service and quality.

nah senpai, hit it with a bit of olive oil and you're good to go.

>employ more
At poverty wages
>give you more for your money
For about 5 minutes before it breaks and you have to buy another one which ends up being way more expensive

Amazon will kill Walmart

nah, because it's not covered in dog cum.

The best part of the sandwich is the styrofoam.

food trucks are owned by edgy hipsters in urban areas. mom and pop shops are owned by old white people who have no taste.

nope. especially with amazon around there is no way plus people only shop at walmart cause they're poor and have to not cause they want to.

Everbody is boycotting Walmart next week when we begin the Chinese Cold War.

Pay attention son.Shit is happening that you don't even know about.

Plenty of great Mexican food trucks around, non hipster.

no. amazon is only good for its 2-day shipping. it used to be better years ago but now it's getting shitty. i remember when i could buy something that was a dollar and get it shipped out to me in 2 days for free now you have to meet a certain dollar amount.

Amazon is Walmart +10. That said, Amazon is long tail, and Walmart is Generica.

>Walmart relatively young
>1968

Do you need to be the east india company to be old?

Poor people aren't gonna suddenly start buying expensive American made goods. They shop at Walmart cos it's cheap shit for cheap prices.

Trump supporters will die within a week without walmart.

Food trucks are gay as fuck now. Shit hipsters do that shit here too now, but especially at lame food festivals.

>Some call him a proxyfag
>Some call him the kin-slayer
>To Canadians, he is simply known as... DOOMSDAY

In places where you're more likely to get shot by a nigger than fuck a cow, Amazon has one hour shipping on common items and same day shipping on many more. This near instant delivery is only going to expand.

>I'm too cheap to afford Amazon prime and get free shipping on everything
Is this what poor people feel like?

If you owned a food truck and had to piss like "right now," where do you go?

Yup, little sink in food truck. Every time.

Why not? The Hudson Bay Company still exists.

i have amazon prime dumbass. ever heard of add-on items?

A friend of mine lives real close to a downtown Seattle Amazon facility and he said he often orders shit and gets it in 15 minutes.

Why would you go back to a life where you couldn't shart at will? Do you think mom'n'pop would tolerate sharting in their small shop? Do you think americunts could even fit in the door at one of those shops any more? No.

And Sam Adams.

Most Americans nowadays are equipped with edible disposable absorbent underwear so they are less reliant on external facilities

You have no reason to expect free shipping for an item that costs one dollar, you stupid heeb.

I am actually allergic to dog cum, my lips swelled and I had to take a few benedryl tablets. Bear got a good jack-off instead.

The only people who start businesses anymore are fucking immigrants.

Anyone whose family is from here will just take the path of least resistance - wagecuck in a call center, a big bank, whatever.

Pretty sure nothing this guy ever orders for $1 was shipped for free.

Maybe a $0.05 item with $0.37 postage.
???
$0.58 Profit

That would be great, but I doubt it. Big competitors are beating beaten by bigger competitors online. That does leave more opportunity for small sellers to get a larger audience, but through the same sort of killing strategies that Walmart employs.
All this hubbub about zomg fruit and vegetables will be expensive because muh wall has got me thinking, though.
Seasonal produce might become popular again. Less money will be spent on transporting the produce, and we will have direct control over how it is produced. I would totally be willing to get back to seasonal cooking or paying a little more for a strawberry in the middle of January if that's what it takes.
