Living in this city forces me to interact with homeless people on an almost daily basis. Most of them roam the city collecting recycling while wearing camping-size backpacks or trying to sell people left-wing rag newspapers.

I've stopped carrying cash and valuables with me whenever I go. I eventually want to get out of this city.

The people living on the street here are scum. They urinate and defecate in the streets and in the common areas in train stations. They get bussed in from out of state because of the mild weather. They're mentally unstable and they're drug addicts. None, I assume, are good people.

Homeless people have every right to exist. It is stormfront to think otherwise. You should not be or feel obligated to give them anything, or even feel bad for their situation.

As far as these camp cities go, they are more legitimate governments than the bullshit cities that attempt to squash them. People, even without means, self organize. They have the right to live.

Governments exist for the will of the people. These people have collectively self organized. Their tent city IS a fucking city. That land should be governed by them. They can come up with their own sanitation and 'building codes'.

Was homeless in the bay area for a long time. Most homeless people are shit. I know first hand from living among them. Most of them are just fucking lazy. I only met one decent one other than myself. I eventually found work, got promoted and am grateful to have a roof over my head again.
