Hi-Fi thread

Remember when in 90's tech companies spared no expenses to create QUALITY products?

Remember when people made threads on the appropriate board? I don't.

My question is: what Japan should do to make good tech? How to MJGA?

It never happened on anime imageboard.

Remember when home electronics cost thousands of dollars with no wiggle room on price?

You can still spend those numbers and get high quality products. Or you can buy cheaply produced products for a fraction of the price.

I fucking spent $150 on a 2 GB flash drive back in the early 2000s.

>I showed my younger cousins a top-loading VCR a few months ago
>They thought it was an old video game console

I agree, but sensation of QUALITY and ESTHETICS are jst too unforgettable. Cheap knockoffs are not even close to deliver such feels.

no

People are a lot less easily captivated.

They just don't enjoy things like they used to, it shows in their work, their creations, etc.

Just like with social classes, they've cut out what had been the mid-level of quality.

Many who were middle class in the 90s are now poverty level. So there's ultra rich and ultra poor options and nothing else.

Socialism really does work

It brings me really sad vibes. Maybe mid-level technology will rise again someday, when all kikes will be gassed and all muds are wrapped in pig skins.

I was fooled by Betamax

There was an attempt to lure russians to Hi8 format. Not one soul switched. VHS FTW.

vintageking. com

By the way, real Soviet VHS player. One of many. Electronica VMTs 8220.

VM12, first Soviet VHS player/recorder. Clone of Panasonic's epic NV 2000.

Russians never get DVD. VHS still best option.

Well I love my modern camera but it doesn't look as badass as the older stuff. However back in the day there was cheap stuff as well, however most of it didn't survive.

I am kind of expecting my modern stuff checking out any moment but after five years of rugged use it still works well.

Wtf are you talking about, I got VHS, CD, DVD and Blu-Ray players. We got same stuff like the rest of the world. With a bit higher prices tho.

Yeah I remember when things were designed to give the customer the best experience for as long as possible... even the lower range stuff would last for ages

these days things are designed to meet the minimum requirements as cheaply as possible... and break a few days after the warranty expires!
people don't seem to care that expensive shit is considered disposable nowadays, like kids being brainwashed into buying a new phone every 2 years

Yeah, I feel you m8. Planned obsolescence is a thing and it's fucking nasty. Kikes design shit that literally crumbles to dust after warranty expires. Nothing like stuff of old times that was designed to last.
