Not that I am aware of. Maybe in real small towns in the country, but to be honest, I have not seen or heard of a town having a 4th of July picnic in ages. Maybe churches or organizations do amongst themselves, but as far as towns, I just do not think so. You are hard pressed to even find 4th of July parades anymore. Very sad loss, I think.

Sure, this 4th of July won't be as good as most, but I say we still have reason to be proud.
While the news may display us as an extremely divided country, civil war hasn't happened just yet, and I seldom hear any cries for civil war outside of here and the news
And while Trump isn't the president we all wanted him to be, he's still better than the other possible outcomes, especially Cruz, Sanders and Hillary.
And while we don't have all that now, who's to say we won't have those in the future?
We're a long way from returning to where we used to be, but what should stop us from celebrating the progress we have made, no matter how minute it is?
