Just remember its not the same. You won't know what you miss until its gone. Only larger cities are the ones I've been to in Russia but outside of that the country is misleading.
A good example is vladivostok. Its gorgeous and has all the same amenities as a typical American city but its expensive compared to say Rostov. If you travel north it looks like a nuclear waste dump.
You should travel there on tourist visas before moving. Stay away from Moscow
