MAGA!

lefties have some terrible cures for the system, but you're not even attempting to understand what is driving high healthcare costs, you're just snuggling up with your ideological binky

Anyone can make assertions like that.
I'm going to chalk it up as just your opinion unless you actually provide some logical refutation.

my annual cost to have insurance would be more than I've spent on healthcare in the past five years, which also means I would still be paying out of pocket because my deductible would be higher than I could possibly use.

What is health insurance?

the main drivers of our healthcare costs are we are getting much older then we used to, in part because we have the technology to keep people alive longer...older sicker people are expensive to keep alive. My dad would have died 20 years ago from cancer just 50 years ago. now he's 90, on a slew of pharmaceuticals, and just had every artery in his legs replaced last year for over 100k. I don't begrudge it, but this shit costs money. and it doesnt help that the average american is a diabetic lardass, requiring much more care as well. none of these things have anything to do with entitlements. They have to do with out culture, our aging demographics and our technology

That would make sense if it weren't for the fact that these outrageous prices are new and old people have been around forever.

Most people all throughout this country's history have lived quite long lives. The average lifespan is misleading because it took into account the very high death rate of infants. Most people did not in fact live to only 40. That is merely an average based on infant mortality rates. The children who did survive often lived into their 70s and above. Look into it.

this is veering into statistical conspiracy territory. average life expectancy was barely over 50 100 years ago, its 80 today. but i'll disregard that and go with what it obvious. in 1969 what was in the room with you when you delivered a baby? a heartrate monitor if you were lucky. i had a girl a few years ago and it looked like we were in the fucking matrix. you sound like you're in denial about how many medical advances have been made over the last 50 years. they can send fucking miniature robots into your body to kill cancer now. we value life so we spare no expense, but all this shit costs money.

It isn't conspiracy theorist at all. It is actually commonly accepted today by scientists.

Here is an article from the Guardian of all places that talks about it, and has quotes from prominent scientific figures who back up the claim. You are basing your theories on a myth.
