It's the format that's the problem, not the author or the fans.
That said, it would be easier to stomach the pace if it was a less interesting series, like the newspaper comics it's emulating. I'll take the bitching over a series that's sometimes boring over a series that's always boring any day.

Its not really slower than any other manga. Just seems that way because its a page a day rather than a chapter a month like regular 30+ paged manga.

4koma has worked for plenty of manga in the past and will continue to work in the future. Just don't expect one that updates a page at a time to be going much of anywhere anytime soon, especially when it's a fucking romcom.

My problem is, is that it was more or less set up to end early, a couple hundred chapters ago. It just got popular.
Our expectations aren't the problem, I don't think. It just went in another direction.
