this part was not done justice in the anime

first for Diver Down
I definitely agree with Jotaro being just as subtle. It's probably in part because Giorno fans are a little fragile from dealing with everyone crapping on Part 5 for the past few years. There are certainly more people who hate Giorno and Vento Aureo as a whole than those who dislike Jotaro. You have to remember, the JoJo community for the longest time was basically
These scans are fucking awful wtf I skipped Part 5
Can I skip Part 5
The scans are good now but Part 5 is lame
Giorno is so boring
and even then there's still people who insist on skipping Part 5
Even with the fresh scans there are lots of people who simply do not like Giorno, which is fine, but it's kind of a sore spot for the few people who DO like Giorno, so they really want to prove that their character is indeed worth liking. It's just another example of a "small but loyal fanbase". If the majority do not like them, that's all the more reason to attempt to prove them wrong and defend your honor, yadda yadda.
Hopefully someone will translate the comments from the anime team.
I'll dump what I have and replace the older ones.
There's one more comment but no one got a close up on the narrator.
So IF we get a SBR anime will Valentine be normal instead of a fatass from the get go?
Id like to assume the Corpse Parts got him motivated to get fit
Why does Kira and Kosaku have two different comments since the share the same actor due to still being the same person?
Hmm I can't get OCR to rip very well.
Thanks Doc. Hope someone can this.
I also thought about that but then we have flashbacks of him where hes not fat
maybe he got fat after getting the heart and D4C and during the race he started to browse /fit/
Those aren't comments.
Those are two different signatures
and what if he brought in a new Valentine from another world?
tfw anime onlys and obstinated manga fags will complain about that when the show ends next week
Implying that a haven't already forgot
next ep name
goodbye morioh - the heart of gold
heart of gold
Honestly is just one of those cases of Araki redesigning the character as the story goes on
It happened to Josuke,Okuyasu,Koichi,Anasui,etc
My stand 「PENTASONIC」, lets me repeat five digits in a row, like this
Nice script my guy
The obstinated manga fags will start rambling about that and its gonna make them think about it
"Oh Josuke was totally gonna go back in time and save himself but Araki forgot lol XD"
but I liked seeing fat valentine, reminded me of Arin "Egoraptor" Hanson
heart of gold is just the epilogue of part 4
joseph calls josuke a kid with a heart of gold then gets his wallet stolen by him
do you mean the zenyatta mondatta book?
I guess that makes sense, cycle of abuse and all that shit. VA definitely had it bad, with dry and shitty scans and the people who unsurprisingly didn't like the part because of them, but wouldn't give the newer version a chance.
It's kind of ironic and sad though, for ages VA was seen as the shitty part and the only people who liked it as dumb weirdos, but now that the scans are showing its quality its fanbase has become much more aggressive and defensive, crapping particularly hard on 3 (which was largely seen as the best part for a long time, and is still the 'face' of the series) and 6.
I guess that's inevitable though, I'm sure 6 (and onwards, if they do it) will get the lions share of obnoxious asshole fans when it's animated.
Watching the dub on toonami aorn.
They're up to the original JoJo's grandson now.
Am I correct in feeling the creators are walking a fine line between good storyline and asspull?
Still, great action and drama, a tad overly dramatic iyam.
Get out of here, people will spoil you
sleeps like shit
I know theres a translator user, will save pics in case he comes by
having a character have descendants is now an asspull
Thanks, i'll keep an eye on the rest that need a better quality pic + the narrator.
Fuck off kid
I read vento aureo around three years ago and I didn't like it as much, partially due to the translation, what's this new translation called? is it the coloured adventures team?
Dio: Necessary win so Jonathan can die
Kars: Technically an asspull, but extremely fitting for the tone of the part.
DIO: Asspullery u to the maximum
Kira: Never stood a chance, really
Diavolo: THE FUCKING ARROW WAS ESTABLISHED AS A WIN CONDITION WHY DO PEOPLE SAY THIS IS AN ASSPULL
Pucci: Good Fight
Valentino: Also a good fight
Yeah, Batoto's a good place for it. Sadly most of it isn't in colour yet, but everything up to the final few chapters is newly translated now. I can't recommend you re-read it enough, it's amazing just how much more lively and enjoyable it is.
DIO: Asspullery u to the maximum
people are STILL too stupid to understand how DIO lost
the only asspull is joseph surviving
DIO: Asspullery u to the maximum
Couldn't care less about color really, I just want a translations that's not garbo.
DIO getting his stand was the reason all the Joestars got their stands
Joseph got a crappier version of the Hermit Purple that DIO has which takes lesser quality pictures and brakes the camera
Holly got a vine stand similar to Josephs and DIOs
Jotaro stand is pretty much exactly the same as The World but the time stop is much shorter
Josukes stand design is alsmost identical to TW
Giornos stand that has the same color and goes "muda"
Pretty sure 98% of of this it's being pulled outta my ass but I think it was neat
I mean I'm not mad about it, but ould you explain how it makes sense to me?
Also Joseph always escapes death nigga
The asspull isn't the arrow being a wind condition. The asspull is GER being just a fucking I win button and not anything progressive of Giorno's capabilities
Even Bites the Dust was technically still a bomb and thus made sense on KQ's abilities. Fucking Chariot Requiem and Gold Experience Requiem were just Araki feeling like writing whatever as an excuse to get the part over with cause Diavolo was too OP. Nothing actually creative, it's literally a schoolyard "My powers beat your powers" fight taken seriously
It's a bit of a sour ending after a part full of really well thought out fights
I like that it sounds like a tear
why didn't he become a vampire?
How did joseph make the joke he made when he came out of a fucking coma? how did he know he could have turned into a vampire?
part 5 actually felt like 16 year olds fighting because the characters became retarded every once in a while
People have different definitions of asspull I guess.
I didn't like the fight either, I wish the arrow had given Giorno something he needed to use creatively and actively to stand a chance of beating Diavolo rather than just being a win-condition. SCR was limited and posed a threat even to its own user, it seems really cheap and unsatisfying that GER wasn't the same.
on side note, did no one from the SPW foundation found out about the arrow's true purpouse?
Shit, imagine if the whole crew got requiem stands
Star Platinum: The World Requiem would just walk into the prison and get jolyne out instantly
But user, Requiem stands gain the abillity of what that person wants the most at that moment. They don't have to do with the original Stando.
Because Joseph broke the Joestar curse and is also the meme god.
How could we describe this sfx?
cuz The Worlds was dubstep farts
I wonder what sounds will King Crimson and White Snake have
DIO and Jotaro have the same stand because they are linked through the Joestar bloodline and Jonathan's body
DIO pauses time, drops the steamroller on Jotaro
Jotaro pauses time just at the end of DIO's stopped time
DIO is able to move in Jotaro's stopped time for 5 seconds before freezing, much like Jotaro trying to move in DIO's
Jotaro injures DIO's leg
DIO blinds Jotaro, tries to kick him with the world
Jotaro blind-punches the world harder than he's ever punched anything before, hard enough to break Star Platinum's hand
The World is shattered to pieces because of this feat of brute strength, and because DIO's leg was already weakened
just like all stand users, DIO takes the same damage the World does
DIO is obliterated
But user, Requiem stands gain the abillity of what that person wants the most at that moment. They don't have to do with the original Stando.
that's the point
it's "asspull instawin" kind of shit. should have just made it become stronger or something
doesnt the arrow chose if the user is worthy or not?
it's a tearing sound
it tears people out of reality
Am I the only one that liked the dubstep farts?
should have just made it become stronger or something
That's too predictable for Araki.
Requiem stands gain the abillity of what that person wants the most at that moment
This is a fan-theory. When Polnareff stabbed himself with the arrow it was purely accidental when he was safe in his house and even considered just leaving the arrow where it was because he didn't really care, he didn't have any driving need to retrieve it. Let alone having a wish to rip the souls out of everything in the surrounding area and swap them around.
requiem stands only come from th requiem arrow which, which its current state left unknown whether or not giorno absorbed it or is holding onto it
I'm assuming all of the jojo's are worthy because of their conviction to do good.
you know there are multiple arrows right? and that all of them do the same thing?
all of them dont do the same, they give people who are worthy of stands, stand, but the Beetle arrow gives requiems
[THE HAND] had some good ones
The dubstep farts were orgarsmic
no but the arrow which gives requiem powers is different to the other arrows
Which is why the beginning arrow in Part 5 turned Gold Experience into a Requiem Stand right?
Why the fuck do you think Araki put any emphasis on the Beetle Arrow? Because he wrote himself into a corner with Black Sabbath and needed an easy way out so now there's a "special arrow that turns Stands into super gods that can't be beaten unless Araki feels like it"
Seriously, Diavolo finding out that shadow weakness was horse shit
I would've at least liked it if the Requiem Arrow was foreshadowed any sooner, it probably will be in the anime. As it stands it's legit a last-minute addition to make Giorno win
It fell out, he gave it back to Polnareff to look after.
Dubstep farts were one of the only good thins DP did to Dio's Whirl
The shadow weakness is just a fancy way of saying "punch behind you"
when was this stated?
polnareff said something along the lines of "stabbing the stand with the arrow awakens it's true purpouse(to get the power of the gods)"
I assume all arrows are the same considering they come from the same place, the same material and the same craftsman
Giorno was stabbed by Black Sabbath's arrow and nothing happened
jotaro has his dick stolen
weather report has his disk stolen
he's retarded but keeps his stand
It's not stated because Part 5's climax is a clusterfuck, but don't you think it would make sense the slightly different-looking arrow might be unique in some way at all? Let alone the fact it's the only arrow in the series that gives Requiem powers
Why Diavolo didn't keep it to himself instead of selling it to Enya though shows how half-assed the plot device was
Did you miss the part where there were two discs, the Stand power and memories?
I'm 200% sure this is because araki hadn't thought of it yet
Also, re-read. Both Jotaro's stand-disc and his memory-disc were stolen, whereas Pucci only took Weather's memory-disc. The stand-disc contains the soul, so Jotaro was left a soulless corpse without it. Since Jolyne got his stand-disc back before his memory-disc, Jotaro briefly came back to life but was basically like a giant baby since he didn't have any memories, similar to how Weather would've been before he learned to talk again and stuff.
Because he didn't, which is why he intentionally designed the beetle arrow to be unique at all. That's kind of an obvious story device
Why not just make it a normal arrow if all arrows gave Requiem Stands? Why make it unique at all? This isn't coincidence or fate shit, it's basic story telling
I wonder if they'll address this by making the fight different
By having Gold XP not being stabbed at all, just almost being stabbed, and also giving the beatle arrow a big emphasis in that its different from the rest of the arrows
They never adressed why noone even considered asking Joseph to use HP to find Kira, I hope they do it for this
Finally found one with the Narrator.
In Akira, there's this simple sound effect that plays whenever Tetsuo gets a psychic headache/vision, and I don't know my instruments but it kind of sounds like someone tapped a triangle or a chime really lightly. It's like a "ding", and it gives the feeling that something's really off.
I want that to be the sound effect for when King Crimson skips and it's not shown (like in the entire Mystery of King Crimson arc).
Dio dies from the sun just after.
God I love that whine when the whole gang gets BTD'd. It sounds like a dude was fucking with a tape recorder while it was rewinding.
Only the English speaking fanbase have a sizable amount of Giorno haters. Everyone else likes him.
Got the rest.
Posting them now.
I want to use that Okuyasu as a buttplug
JJL ch60 when?
tranny pls go
god i want to splooge all over reimi
Nevermind, still waiting for a Hayato
Will there be a part 5 anime?
I can't wait for the narancia porn
its not an aspull, the joestar bloodline has luck 10
Trish is pretty!
to appeal to everyone you just need to make a sub-par character and slap a quirky trait on them such as being able to predict what people say, shouting in english, or being scared of the number four and they eat that shit up
This is true.
But Mista is not just a meme character though, he's one of the best Part 5 characters, he's just seen as a joke by the English fanbase because of the number 4 thing and because, after Giorno, he's probably the character that got butchered the hardest by the translations.
omg buttplugs arent just for trannies you ableist shitlord
He was fun, but he was nowhere near as interesting a character as Buccellati, Narancia or Abbacchio to me. It's clear he's kind of the Polnareff of the part, if the Polnareff were somehow less developed than the others around him. Every other character had a lot more depth to them it seemed. Mista was just the fun guy who doesn't like four.
Most people will tell you all of the thematic and subtly implemented examples of why four is bad luck to him and how everything bad ever that happens to him IS because of the number four but yeah
To be fair the fact he's the ONLY relevant gang member to survive other than Giorno is still a bit of a sore spot for me. In the end the only real thing I liked about Mista at all was Sex Pistols
Wasn't Narancia more like the Polnareff of 5?
Really unlucky, constantly getting shit on
Picked on by his companions even though they love him dearly
The one to be attacked first (Soft Machine, Grateful dead, Clash etc)
Stand-fights tend to be particularly embarrassing and/or weird (Being shrunk, getting tongue ripped out and replaced)
Kinda dumb but big-hearted and extroverted
Shows the most open emotion and care for his friends
go play ASB
he yells KATA in some of his moves
today's episode he yells it & it translates to 'I've won'
I've learned something new today
man polny was such a good character
i got very sad during judgement and cried during vanilla ice
Crying at JoJo
But Polnareff lives
Despite being Stardust 2: More Twinks, Part 5's characters actually aren't real analogues to Part 3 characters at all. They're all pretty unique and varied like Part 4's, I don't think Araki really ever reuses a whole team in the entire series, just certain elements for certain characters
He also does the "WRYEEAH" in the episode
Now it makes a little more sense why Part 8 Kira did it
narancia died just so the final fight was in gio's body
I think is a misconception for 5 being called SDC 2
while Part 4 already feels like SDC 2 with some very minor changes, 5 is like SDC 3 with a little of 2 in it (mainly in how the final fight isnt a fight, its just a chase/race and the hero defeats the villan with the mcguffin of the story)
the Polnareff of the part
No, not really. Mista is goofy, sure, but Narancia is more like Polnareff in terms of character. Mista is one of the more developed Part 5 characters, there's a reason why he gets an epilogue entirely to himself and why he has the most fights after Giorno. When you think of Mista’s role in the arc in the light of what his backstory tells us about him, and his interactions with the gang, he is actually the character who undergoes the most character development (and don’t get me wrong, Mista is really funny, and has some really goofy moments because he’s partially a dramatic Clint Eastwood wannabe - but he’s not the useless, dumb goofball a lot of people see him as)
Hermes was so neat in the beginning but when I look back on Stone Ocean, she was probably the most forgettable part of it. I don't even know why.
Giorno doing the pose with GER in Narancias body
I need a drawing of that
anyone got any OC memes they made?
This is my first attempt at one
You know, I would have preferred to see Giorno getting his vampire powers up and shit to fight King Crimson than the asspull
giorno is knocked out
his stand is being ripped away from him
*dubstep farts in the distance*
he's possessed by the world to protect DIO's bloodline or whatever
ambiguous ending where giorno may or may not have turned evil
It's sort of a half-and-half
Part 4 is more of a direct continuation of Part 3 and features some of the same characters, but in radically different circumstances and structure
While Part 5 has completely new characters in an adventure setting like Part 3, mostly following the same structure and having direct allusions and references to Part 3 without being a direct continuation of those events
I would describe them like Majora's Mask vs. Wind Waker. One's a unique sequel that follows the events and one's a sequel that repeats the structure with different elements
Part 4 already feels like SDC 2 with some very minor changes
I can see why someone would think that way because Araki said as much that he made Part 4 out of leftovers from Part 3.
I personally, when I compare the two trilogies of Parts (1-2-3 and 4-5-6), I put it this way
heavy emphasis on fights and the team dynamic between characters, plenty of thematic parallels
the "breather" part that exists to explore the setting a little bit more and uses more comedic characters and moments, and to establish things for the next parts
more focused on drama and relationship between the main character and villain and it's mostly about the fantastical weirdness of the setting and it's more story-driven to begin/end the series
While this is mostly a terrible idea and the arrow is not an asspull (we've been over this many times), the idea of an ambiguous ending where Giorno may or may not have turned evil is something I think could work for an alternate universe or a spin-off.
That sounds obnoxious and stupid. Just do this
One final, slow, almost Wild Western-like punch off
GER's power isn't "no" the ability, it's everlasting life
Giorno is revived each time he's donuted
Smacks and fucks up Diavolo
Still gives him the infinite death loop curse
Just something to make sense of the power up and make it look cooler than muh dodging. It's too fucking short as is
Wouldn't he turned into dust if he got any vampire powers? the fight takes place at dawn
He became the boss of one of the most powerful crime organisations in the world, shit ain't gonna be sunshines and rainbows for him and he's gonna have to do some dirty stuff
Now to wait for translations.
I dunno, wouldn't that kind of wreck the message and the character-arcs? While some dark stuff happens, pretty much every ally in VA becomes a better person by the end of it. The final battle symbolically taking place at dawn and the villain named after the Devil being cast down illustrates this pretty well.
Giorno goes from a loser who steals from defenseless manlets to a heroic and determined leader of the mafia intent on using his powers for good
Buccellati remembers his conscience and what it was like to fight for what he truly believed in, dies content and fulfilled
Abbacchio tsunderely is inspired and genuinely cares about doing the right thing instead of just mindlessly following orders to make himself feel useful
Narancia finds his true courage and makes the choice to go with the others to try and look after Trish
Trish goes from being a silent damsel to a slightly less-silent, less-damsel
Mista's a cool bro I guess
If the ending was Giorno being evil, then it'd make all of their sacrifices for nothing, wouldn't it? JoJo's dark but never bleak, that'd be really unfitting IMO.
That sig looks like a penis.
The dude spends literally all of Part 5 going on and on about how he's gonna be a gangstar and make Passione an organization for good. Anything bad comes up, Giorno is going to shut it the fuck down regardless of consequences. And I doubt he'll change his mind, since he inherited both the Joestar spirit and Dio's ambition.
What does your penis look like
Here's everything I could find for today, there will probably some better versions later.
Also requesting some translations for the comments, I put them up first.
Like a shaft with two balls at the base.
It's a penis pointing left at a downward angle.
How fucking ridiculous would King Crimson Requiem be though.
It'll just give Epitaph unlimited foresight and King Crimson limitless control over time.
Just finished part 6
So at what point did the universe reset? I'm kind of lost
Did a new universe happen where Jolyne never went to jail?
Why were they all in the same place?
Still the ending was p. good but it got boring as hell sometimes
It kicks Diavolo out of this universe so he can never be found out
Was Tusk Act 4 a good stand?
Man, Araki is kinda a hack writer like 50% of the time, huh.
Considering how Requiem works (abilities are somewhat related to controlling souls) and what Diavolo's goals are (gettting rid of Trish and protecting his identity forever), it'd be something like allowing Diavolo to completely erase someone’s soul from time; leaving no corpse, no memories, no nothing. He could eliminate any existence or influence that the target had ever exerted, retroactively and forevermore.
It would be as if that person had never existed.
Pucci died so the universe snapped back in place, except without him.
Everything in that universe is pretty much the same, except since Jolyne and co died, they came back as new counterparts
Yeah I'm not really sure myself it's kinda unclear
What I got was
There's four universes. The first, the Pucciverse, the Post Pucciverse where everyone's happy, and the SBRverse.
Why the fuck start again?
I honestly don't understand the point of part 7 and 8
You're forgetting the most important part, which is Fugo being a piece of shit and abandoning everyone because his stand is too broken OP
My proudest creation.
The point is shut the fuck up araki will do whatever the goddamn fuck he wants
It helps if you remember that Araki wanted to make SBR something other than JoJo but then realized he's incapable of writing anything else and slapped the JoJo label on it and called it a day.
Gappy also says this. Go back and read the end of a few fights.
Fugo was a bit of a loser, but he was neither good nor evil by the end of it. He was, simply put, the only guy not willing to risk his life to change the status quo and save an innocent girl.
And it was less because his stand was OP and more because Araki didn't want to write about Giorno having to kill him. He doesn't seem to like betrayal in general as a concept, the only ally who's ever turned evil has been Straizo, and Fugo's the only ally who's just called it quits and left.
this part was not done justice in the anime
You mean Part 4 as a whole? I agree. Very underwhelming, especially when you compare them to the almost perfect adaptations of parts 1-3.
Friendly reminder that the chase OP would have worked better as a Bites the Dust opening.
here we go again...
i want to bukkake yukako
Yukako more like Yukkake
Why was she such a cumdumpster?
The Pillar Men get the stone, Caesar dies.
cry more. part 4 is mediocre.
This to be quite honest, The final fight did not translate well into the anime and the art is inconsistent as fuck, (too much CG being used to hide that fact). Part 5 wasn't my favorite part to begin with but with David at the helm I have no hope whatsoever. Let's hope Part 7 gets split into a few movies with a studio that can actually handle them.
Cheap Korean animation almost every episode
it's a part 7 tard trying to shit on other parts.
no studio with a business mind would adapt crappy sbr
I like killer queen so much
it was like an animal rather than a stand
posts the old link
Why would you assume Part 7 is my favorite part? There is no doubt that 5 and 6 are getting TV adaptations but Part 7 won't. My favorite Part is Diamond is Unbreakable followed by Stone Ocean.
almost perfect adaptions of parts 1-3
None of them have been almost perfect, they've all still been really enjoyable though.
Justified criticism = hate
What stopped Part 1 from being on par with the manga?
The parts inside of the parentheses (4 > 5) are the non-canon filler parts called the Arrow arc, which is a continuation of the story branching off from 3 but doesn't really have much connection to the overall plot so they can be skipped.
This is advanced bait
well I mean, they did leave out that bit about how jonathan was so hungry he ate up a chocolate bar like it was his last meal. Also that part about how Jonathan was saved by Danny which is why he loves him so much
7 is a prequel to the entire series but retcons the entirety of parts 1 through 6 and makes it inconsistent with the original chronology.
I'll admit I didn't get the reason why the Pastebin was a meme at first but now I understand having read it.
Post some of your headcanons, even if they are retarded.
I have a bit of theory that the same virus that is present in the Stand Arrows that grants people Stands actually came to Earth once before the meteorite had crash landed on Greenland, and ancient hominids actually came in contact with said alien viruses via consumption (maybe there was some fruit with it in the previous universe like the Rokakaka). That consumption led to a gradual evolutionary process that would either kill a normal hominid or make them a Pillar Man (it would be infecting them on a genetic level). Basically, the Pillar Men were proto-Stands because of alien genes in their body.
Mikitaka is, in fact, an actual alien, he doesn't manifest a Stand because he is one, which is why his ability to manipulate his body is far more advanced than the Pillar Men's. And Kars wanted to become an Ultimate Lifeform by reaching that level (alongside being the peak of evolution).
Just a reminder that we will never see Hayato and Shizuka go on adventures together.
Can't get Valentine's level 3 in ASB to work for the life of me
I have all the corpse parts and everything
DIdn't they cut out heaps of scenes between Jonathan himself, and him and Dio, and there was so much quality unless you don't want to count the TV version
playing with the shittiest character in the entire game
You should be using Entire Equine instead
Translator user here. Well, one of the translator anons, at least. I did the closing comments by Stardust Crusaders' voice actors last year.
I'll start translating the comments now! In more or less random order. See you in a couple of mins for the first one
Fight me, faggot
Sup Forums's jojo fightan roster
Pick a character who isn't complete shit at an easy fighting game and then we'll talk.
Hayato was groomed to be a member of the Speedwagon foundation right?
That roster should include OVA DIO
Maybe sometime in 2017 I'll take ideas for the next game.
When were you when you realized that Part 8 is the best part?
Why does Pre-D4C Valentine have a mounted combat style?
Nutman is not included
Quality Queen is not included
This needs to be updated
Josuke Higashikata (VA Ono Yūki)
Make no mistake, there's gonna be plenty of exciting, heart-pounding developments, up until the end. Please, be a witness to the decisive battle, a fight for their town, with their very spirits at stake.
This is truly going to be a GREAT climax...!!!
Because he was a soldier in the Civil War, and thus I would assume he had a horse.
Not that user, but I just looked up a tier list. What makes Valentine so shitty? Never played
Nijimura Okuyasu (VA Takagi Wataru)
It's really true that all joyful times seem to pass in a flash.
I want to thank you all for your passionate support. Thank you very much!
It's the last episode of JoJo Part 4. Please, enjoy it.
And I hope we can meet again in Morioh Cho...
And I hope we can meet again in Morioh Cho
PART EIGHT ANIME CONFIRMED
Hirose Kōichi (VA Kaji Yūki)
One thing after the other, everything's ended, but for us voice actors, well, it's almost as we don't feel like it's over yet!
We've finally managed to corner him! Please, stay with us and let's watch together the fight against our greatest foe, Kira Yoshikage.
Thank you all for everything!
i really am truly heartbroken that my favorite part is over
we're really gonna have to say goodbye to morioh
i'm most definitely gonna cry
He has an extremely poor moveset with very limited options. He has only two combo finishers that work, which are his poor sweep and his rush attack. His projectile is shit. His attacks are slow. His combos can't connect most of the time.
He's only mildly playable after he's obtained all 3 Corpse Parts and enters Love Train, but the projectile invicibility is a pretty worthless gimmick and if he gets knocked down just once he loses it. And it's not worth waiting 30s for that.
I've played a lot of ASB and I can say for sure he's probably the worst character in the game.
Kūjō Jōtarō (VA Ono Daisuke)
I think that even fans of the original manga will definitely tremble at the sight of our last episode.
Please look forward to it!
no B.T. in bonusu
mfw I'm that user and it's all true
Kishibe Rohan (VA Sakurai Takahiro)
Struggle after struggle after struggle, what a development!
The story has suddenly picked up speed, and we're now at the very top.
Don't miss our climax!!
Joseph Joestar (VA Ishizuka Unshō)
This is going to be a very dramatic ending, both for those who are familiar with the original story and for those who aren't.
Good work man. I'm interested in seeing what Kira's V/A has to say.
But Young Dio is already there user.
Yamagishi Yukako (VA Noto Mamiko)
We have finally reached the climax!
Please, watch it with us!
And carve it in your heart!
So that this burning JoJo spirit remains forevermore in your hearts.
No Kai Harada cameo
What the FUCK is this adaptation????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Why is Hayato's hair so amazing?
Sugimoto Reimi (VA Hara Sayuri)
I remember that when I read the final battle in the manga, I was shaking, and I thought "What!? Can this kind of development even happen!?"
I think that you'll be able to experience all this heat, this commotion, and this sheer fun in the anime too, without losing even an ounce of it.
Please, everyone, watch this last episode and feel the golden spirit with us.
It's cute to think that at least some of these voice actors grew up reading the series or at least liked it before voicing the characters in the show
Kawajiri Shinobu (VA Shimamura Yū)
Please, watch over Hayato along with me, and watch him grow through this suspence horror-like story he's living through.
Thank you all!
Feels weird seeing Arnold's wound uncensored.
remember believing that Part 4 would never get animated or get an animation any time soon
it's actually almost over now
What a year
Sounds like a blowout/emission from STALKER
Kawajiri Hayato (VA Satō Rina)
The story has reached its final stage!
It's time for a direct battle with Kira.
I've (unreadable, probably something like "taken part") in the recordings with the same burning feelings of Hayato!!
Even I'm looking forward to seeing the actual episode air.
Please watch this thrilling second half until the conclusion!!!
Kira Yoshikage (VA Morikawa Toshiyuki)
There are some very memorable scenes and lines waiting for you.
Please, enjoy the final battle against Kira. I'm counting on it.
I love it
My favourite retarded headcanon is that Josuke was originally going to be the guy who saves his life when he was 4, and it's going to tie in to Part 8 Josuke somehow.
i got a BONER
That's a beautiful duwang
Narrator (VA Ōkawa Tōru)
Please, look forward to Jōsuke's final battle!
You'll be witness to a historical moment!!
Aaaand that's it for the comments. Hope you enjoyed it!
thank you so much for doing these translator user
i got a heart boner
Thanks for the translation
It's been quite a run
You're welcome, friendos! I enjoy doing things for the community.
NEW CHAPTER TRANSLATED WHEN
what the fuck
Reminds me of a Stand idea I had. I promise it's not completely autistic; only somewhat.
Basically, whatever the user posts to Sup Forums becomes true if their post number ends in consecutive repeating digits or is an otherwise unique number (123454321 or 252525252 for instance). The more reality-bending the effect, the bigger the get has to be.
Do you think JJL Rohan/whoever the fuck the mangaka will be would be a chick?
Rohan's my favorite in part 4 and it'd be even better if he was a cute girl in a different universe
Why didn't they leave Stray Cat in Superfly?
Cat can't leave
no one will bother that place anyway
Why didn't they lock up an animal indefinitely
It was happy with Okuyasu's dad, their relationship was mutually beneficial.
Abbacchio is so fucking cute
For fuck's sake, I have to say this again?
All stando arrows are the same. It's just that nobody before Pol had stabbed their own stand with it (that we know of), and his arrow happened to be the one that was the closest in the final fight.
Trish should have gotten her period at the start for some hilarious interactions and Bruno and Abbacchio doing a tampon fetch quest.
tfw we're finally heading to the best part
I feel glee at the sight of the man with deformed teeth
Psycho Killer should've been DiU's ED, at least for the last cour if they had multiple EDs
Probe me wrong
What is Bite the dust
What is the Black Sabbath fight
David Bowie died 2 weeks after 2016 begun
Kira (Bowie style) will die 2 weeks before 2016 ends.
What did I miss?
Did DP say something about JoJo?
I just made an imgur gallery for my translations of the Jump Festa comments, boys: imgur.com
Hmm? Is David skipping 5 & 6?
This is just as coincidental as when Kakyoin getting donuted happened at National Donut's day.
Bruno and Abbacchio don't particularly care
Mista and Narancia are those retards who act as though clean, wrapped tampons are filthy and dangerous
Fugo probably has a menstruation-fetish or something
narancia reacts the same way as he did when he saw giorno pulling mista's smelly dick off
Mista is the saving grace of Part 5
Reminder that Narancia let Giorno rape Mista.
Seeing your friend being ravished by a hot twink
Not being a jackass and interfering
Narancia was just being a true bro
narancia probably sat in the boat until mista stopped moaning
Narancia probably yanked his snake to it
See with Bites the Dust, Kira was under a massive amount of pressure because he killed Hayato and was going to be found out, so if he could rewind time and relive the day again to perfection it'd be great.
Then with Silver Chariot, Polnareff was about to be killed but because his legs got Johnny Joestar'd, if he was in a different body he could stand more of a chance.
Giorno believed he was fated to beat Diavolo, and so inverting KC (all cause no effect) was apparently the best way to do it.
All this "deepest wish at a time of great need" does fit in
He was probably relieved that he didn't have to be Mista's cumdump anymore
with Silver Chariot, Polnareff was about to be killed but because his legs got Johnny Joestar'd, if he was in a different body he could stand more of a chance
This isn't what happened at all. The first time Polnareff used the arrow on himself and discovered what he did he was in no danger and had simply dropped it behind a desk. Him pricking himself was a complete accident and he didn't have any overriding goal or desperate desire at the time. And notably it only changed his own soul round when he was dying and it left his body, the first time he used SCR everything around him got switched around, but he stayed the same.
I think with BTD it still had something to do with the stand's ability,in Killer Queen's case to make people explode unlike SCR and GER who got abilities completely unrelated to the original stand's ability.
Maybe him failing to interrupt Mista's rape wasn't a dick move after all, and he was simply letting him have a taste of his own medicine
Whoops, my bad
Yeah, I agree. The current OP is okay but it's not particularly hype.
MILLIONS ARE DEAD
lets giorno rape mista
later gets tonguefucked by enemy and throatfucked by giorno
later gets raped by diavolo
What did he mean by this?
Araki ! Araki Hirohiko ! Give me the new Joushuu chapter ! It has been month too long. I won´t repeat myself. Give me the Jojolion !
Damn. I hope they fix him in the inevitable ASB2 (possibly releasing once anime SO is finished or at least announced)
user I'm so sorry.
A third proper fighting game (no, EoH doesn't count) deters from my enjoyment of the source material
That's not what I implied at all, don't get mad. I was implying we'd never get an ASB2 because EoH bombed so badly.
It cant be true
Holy fuck part 7 is head and shoulders above anything else in franchise.
How much of part 8 is done? Worth it to start reading now?
Yeah,it's more of a op that makes you feel good instead of giving hype.
Read it user so you can come join us theorize on how Jojolion would end and yes it's pretty much worth reading now since we get a new chapter in a few days.
because EoH bombed so badly.
Yeah, but EoH is utter shit while ASB is somewhat decent, but still missing many characters from part 5 onwards and could do with some better mechanics. Maybe they'll wait til JJL ends so they can give Jobin a proper GHA. Or maybe they'll make something similar to EoH but actually decent, letting have manual battles that aren't always 2v2 or ALLOWING LOCAL MULTIPLAYER, for starters
Part 8 is 60 chapters in and it looks like we're just about to begin the climax, though SBR's climax was like 30 chapters and JJL's will be comparable most likely. It's a good time to jump in. It's pretty different from everything else before though, it's got more of a focus on mystery and atmosphere over fights and the writing is the best it has ever been, better than SBR though whether you like the setting and characters is still up to personal preference. It's at least on par with SBR so far and might surpass it depending on where it goes from here. Now is a great time to start it. Just take it slow and do only a couple of chapters a day, it's the kind of story you need to take slow or you won't enjoy it at all.
I hope Araki wraps up the characters nicely
gonna be wrapped up in a coffin by the time Jojolion ends.
Honestly I don't even think we're into the meat of part 8 yet, there's a lot of ground to cover.
It's looking to be quite a bit longer than SBR to me, but some people think we're over half way.
Typically mystery stories spend like 70% of the story introducing plot elements before resolving them all in rapid succession near the end and it seems like we're getting close to some sort of climax which is why people seem to think we're at least at the halfway mark. I highly doubt Araki is going to have JJL run for more than 15 years considering he felt like SBR ran too long which is why some characters got shafted towards the end, and JJL is already structured so differently from the rest of the series that I can easily see Damo's defeat as the halfway point and us being in the buildup to the climax at this point. That said the climax could last like 30 or 40 chapters like SBR's climax so we still have a while to go regardless.
Those seiyuu comments
Holy shit is part 4 really coming to an end? I watched friday's episode and honestly shook with how much I enjoyed it. Josuke's an absolute stone-cold badass, he has the tactical mind of his father with the practical uses of Crazy Diamond and every step of the fight he was figuring out how to fuck Kira over.
I'm legitimately surprised looking back at how many proper Stand throwdowns Killer Queen and Crazy Diamond got, I was expecting it to simply be Stand rush-exchanges, but that moment in the last episode where Josuke went "Bring out your Killer Queen" onwards was one of the best fucking things I've seen this year.
Don't even get me started on Okuyasu's return, that was genuinely sadder than most of the deaths in the anime. So glad to see my boy made it back.
It's been a fun ride, can't believe this shit is ending next week. I'm definitely going to read the manga after next episode, I finally get why part 4's loved so much. Fantastic anime, DP.
Most people agree that the manga is even better, especially since DP had to rush bits of 4 considering it's 20 chapters longer than 3 but with 9 less episodes. They did a great job despite the tall order they got though. And Part 5 is pretty heavy, it dives right back into the darker tone of prior Parts and doesn't let up. You're in for a wild ride user.
Honestly i think Jobin is the main villain. At this stage i doubt they would introduce the main villlain so late and Jobin works much better as the main villain. I think we are getting a flashback to Norisuke/Kaato's childhood and Jobin or Kaato will kill Norisuke.
Watch the Part 5 anime then read the manga
The translation for part 5 has been terrible for years and only recently began getting re-translated with better scans, the re-translation is very slow and isn't finished yet so it's probably best to just watch it before you start on the manga
I'm glad you enjoyed the ride, and even more glad that you intend to read the manga, mi amigo. Now I suggest you get the hell out of here before people spoil shit for you.
See you when you're all caught up.
If Arkai wants to make a really Impactful Death for JoJolion then Norisuke would be the prime choice
There needs to be one shots showing the SWF doing more shit like that
We've also got parallels with Joubin and Kira with him having a parent as his partner in crime.
yfw there's more chance Joubin is alive at the end than Gappy
Let's be honest Norisuke dying would be very sad
Adding on, I really liked the color palette change during the last throwdown betwee Josuke and Kira too. For DIO's World the color changes were nice but they didn't feel impactful, for this fight seeing Kira in his original purple suit and the watermelon hair as well as Josuke being red with a different skin color looked brilliant. How do they do it? It was stylish as fuck.
Really? I only felt one or two episodes were rushed but I've enjoyed the anime immensely. I'm really looking forward to part 5 too, caught glimpses of the crew and their Stands and it looks like it's going to be like SDC but better.
Shit, really? How far are the translations in?
It's fine, I'm selective when it comes to reading spoilers, developed it from all the guys who spoiled shit on youtube comments. Thanks though, why wouldn't anyone read the manga after this? When I found out there are fucking 8 full parts of JoJo with consistent quality I got seriously excited.
I feel like that ship has sailed considering how close we were with Damo, he can't be killed by anyone other than Jobin or Kaato at this point or it'll feel cheap. I can see Kaato trying to get Jobin to do it honestly. That said it seems like Jobin's goals are separate from Kaato's, or he at least has some of of his own that she doesn't share. She didn't seem aware of the fact that he was going to see Dolomite and fuse with him and she seems to just be enjoying herself for the time being. I feel like she just wants Norisuke out of the picture so she can take her life back and that all the Rokakaka business is Jobin's own doing and she isn't involved. I really just want to see what all of this is leading to. Araki has shown that he's planned a lot of JJL out before writing it so hopefully he has a worthwhile conclusion planned that this is all actually adding up to.
The manga had a bit more detail with the fight with Josuke and Kira such as Josuke being careful with KQ touching Crazy D's arm during the first fistfight,Kira measuring up the distance using math,Kira noticing that Josuke was actually waiting for KQ to strike first so that he can counter and prevent him from event attacking during the last fistfight but nonetheless I really loved how DP did the 2nd half of the fight compared to the weird pacing on the first fight.
How far are the translations in?
Just about half way now I think, and it's been getting re-translated for years.
Lot of internal drama with the translation team holding it back.
The main reason a lot of English-speaking people dislike part 5 is because the old translations suck all the life out of the characters, bad idea to read them.
Personally I'm really hoping the theories we made for the Dolomite/Joubin fusion or Flashforward Man become true. If Araki seriously subtly hinted towards the main villain with Joubin's 2-headed toy robot and Gappy's disdain for fried chicken this might easily be the best-written part.
Knowing Araki Jojolion will probably end with Gappy having a pyrrhic victory from the final fight and die from his wounds.
Josuke being careful with KQ touching Crazy D's arm during the first fistfight
But that was in the anime too
They did a good job at hiding it honestly, if you haven't read the manga then you won't have noticed the stuff they've cut except in the most obvious places. And most people agree about 5 being SDC but better, it's not as goofy but the action is great and the Stands are all much more threatening and overall it's probably the most action packed Part in the series. 6 is also good but it marks the start of Araki trying to write for an older audience and it dropped in popularity since it was still being published in Weekly Shonen Jump of all places, and it's got a very slow start. Best villain though. 7 is on another level since he finally got switched to a seinen magazine to write whatever the fuck he likes and 8 might just be the best depending on how it ends.
They're way past halfway now, they're at Green Day and Oasis which is the second last fight. It's like the Vanilla Ice of Part 5, right before the final battle begins.
IT"S ALL IN THE HAIRLINE MAN
In the anime KQ pushed Crazy Diamond away but in the manga KQ was slowly sneaking his right arm and Crazy Diamond immediately backed off.
Let me put it this way. Whoever kills Norisuke can except slow and brutal death from this pal here.
Considering how much Joushuu loves his father, the guy/haato will end up worse than Damo.
It´s "leftovers" Kira, i am telling you guys.
I'm really placing my bets that Joubin was the flashback man.It makes even more sense since if his appearance changed it would actually parallel Kira changing his appearance into Kosaku from part 4.
Gappy being there to show his hairline on the same page
Tsurugi mentioning hair out of nowhere followed by the shot that can only be Josuke based on the hair, though we were misdirected into believing it was Yagiyama
This page is a fucking work of art if it ends up being true.
Really? Those are a lot of smart details actually, only wondering now how Kira was able to calculate his bubbles.
Damn, the translations are that bad? I don't want to go in with a bad impression from bad scans, so if it'll take forever for the part to get translated I think I'll probably just read parts 1-4 in the manga.
It's probably the most action packed Part in the series.
I've heard really good things about a "Grateful Dead" arc, not read too much into part 5 but knowing my favourite artists might have a cool Stand really makes me look forward to everything.
6 is also good but it marks the start of Araki trying to write for an older audience.
So Araki's writing also improves as the parts go on?
Now I'm really looking forward, not heard much at all about part 6.
If we're ranking the anime, 4 >>> 2 > 3 > 1 for me.
Had way too much fun with part 4, all the great shenanigans, lovable characters, brilliant fights, beautiful direction and seriously good OST makes this my favourite JoJo part so far.
Damo and Yagiyama went to see his body in the morgue and they confirmed it was definitely without a doubt dead.
I completely forgot about this guy.
Who the fuck was he? He looks exactly like Gappy, was that not Yagiyama before his reveal?
Without spoiling anything. Grateful Dead is 14 chapters long and set on a fast moving train. It's pretty dope.
So we can easily say that Jojolion is Michelangelo level, right ?
Fuck I miss part 5's cast so much
Everyone assumed it was Yagiyama but he shows up in the very next chapter with his long hair and effeminate design. People pointed out that his hairline and eyelashes look exactly like Gappy's in this page, which looks nothing like Yagiyama's and why people think it was a red herring.
I bet it won´t be this simple.
To add to this it's one of the best fights this series has to offer along,White Album and Metallica,in my opinion, which is also in part 5.
I'm pretty sure it was mentioned he'd already been buried too, but I don't remember what the chapter was so I can't prove it.
I'm really excited on how the animeonlies will react to Bruno just being a complete madman during Grateful Dead.
So Araki's writing also improves as the parts go on?
not heard much at all about part 6
Good, go into it as a blind as possible
If you liked Jotaro you'll most definitely like the JoJo in Part 5 since he's abit like him but kind of more ruthless.
A Stand fight on a moving train
Holy shit there's a White Album Stand too? Fuck yes.
Seriously glad to hear that, I've loved all the parts but it wasn't hard to notice how part 4's writing in terms of characters has been much better than parts 1-3's. Kira was such a good villain.
I think I've probably spent enough time on here, if going in to the other parts blind is the best thing to do I'd best not find out more about the later stuff. Thanks guys, I thought JoJo threads were notorious for spoiling stuff for new guys, glad to see it's not the case.
Not to mention he wasn't even a zombie who knew his time was limited at that point. Man has resolve like a motherfucker.
People used to spoil a lot here but the shitposters got bored and left. Most people are pretty chill now. And enjoy user.
I'm genuinely excited to see all the fights animated. You can feel the resolve in the crew in pretty much every fight, funnily enough fucking Narancia of all characters especially has some of the most badass moments. Re-reading Little Feet and Clash/Talking Heads gave me immense respect for the guy, he's a badass. Shame he's been reduced to waifu fodder thanks to one notorious shitposter.
The anime will make people remember that Narancia is pretty damn cool.
Yeah even if Narancia is a bit of a dumbass the dude can actually think very clever strategies and will pretty much do anything to win a fight.
I'm kind of sad that Fugo didn't get that much screentime considering Purple Haze is one of the best designed stands in the series.Although his moment of resolve during PHF was REALLY great I was wondering where they got Purple Haze's GHA from ASB and I didn't expect it'd come from the light novel of all things.
The fucker is ballsy as hell, setting an entire street on fire so Formaggio had nowhere to run and letting Clash carve into his throat but still gunning down the user.
People told me part 5 was mediocre but pretty much literally every fight has so much hype to it and are just a blast to read. Even small, somewhat insignificant fights like Little Feet have absolute badass moments like pic related.
Also I do hope they do PHF as an OVA, the fights in it were fucking brilliant and it rounded Fugo up nicely. Honestly if PHF is considered canon any time in the future I'd be happy to admit part 5's crew is the best crew in the series so far (part 8's could possibly be a very strong contenstant)
brilliant fights, beautiful direction
I don't know about that, I think that's where they goofed up for the most part. A lot of the encounters came off as underwhelming to me. Could be because of the allegedly short budget but who knows.
So King Crimson Requiem is Stalinist Soviet Russia?
Maybe for some but there were a lot I distinctly remember for having great direction. Off the top of my head: Echoes, Italian, RHCP 2, Rohan 2, Ratt, entirety of SHA, AHF, RPS Kid, Enigma and Cheap Trick, and now the entire finale with maybe the exception of CDIU 1 (which still was a great ep in my opinion.)
It all felt like a big step up to part 3's battles which just felt formulaic and nothing but tactic-less actionfests.
notorious for spoiling
Oh, it still happens sometimes. I'd brace for spoilers in case someone decides to do it just because.
So basically a much more busted BTD? Yeah it seems to fit Diavolo pretty well.
So when are they gonna announce part 5 anime?
Didn't Hghway Star looked good? the sound design during that episode was pretty damn good and the chase with what little budget DP had still looked pretty decent. Also Bad Company and Aqua Necklace looked pretty damn great
Just told my dad I had a fetish for woman's (disembodied) hands and he told me he'll protect my happiness at any cost.
Guessing somewhere around Spring and they'd hopefully release it someone during Summer or Fall.DP has been getting sold out of BD's in Jump Fiesta now which is a pretty damn good sign.
You didn't do Sup Forums justice.
Yeah I forgot about those, actually really loved Highway Star too, and Bad Company was the first fight that stood out to me so much because of the OST. Fucking Crime Scene Express is the best fight track in the series.
whoops guys I just accidentally blew up my dad with my KUKI DAN and now this mad dude with a shitty hairdo is angry at me
Yeah I really loved Crime Scene Express on the soundtrack.I actually used it while reading
Valentine vs Diego and HP during the train and it just fit so well with the fast paced action during the entire fight,It made me love it even more.
SHOOT ME WITH THE ARROW TOO
Can you guys imagine how good the soundtrack for Part V is going to be?
SBR is going to have a godlike OST too, when it gets adapted in however many years.
I really do hope Giorno's theme has a bit of Dio's own them and Jonathan's considering he's their own son.
Giorno's theme song has this in it at some point but with classy italian violins
I thought it was because he had the spine, since after its stolen he becomes all swole.
Ends with Josuke posing on the dock
Cut to I Want You ending
Same as usual, reach point where Josuke is reflected in the diamond
Instead of the reflection changing into Kosaku, it changes into Giorno
Pan out to show the diamond is actually part of the ladybug icon, with a small 5 next to it
Would that work?
I'm hoping they'd use a bit of Dio's theme when Giorno is becoming violent and ruthless while they a play a bit of Jonathan's on his moment of resolve that spreads to his crew members.
and have a perfect mix of them the moment he achieves GER.
Implying JoJo isn't gay as fuck
My dick is DIAMONDS
Is Johnny even a guy here?
doppio will never be this happy
Not including Fastcart, Shiza, Swordman, Doughnutman, Tennis Ball, Zipper Man, Sticker Wife, Mozarella Teeth, or Nutman
Did you just assume his gender?!
New chapter when?
Did anyone actually read Phantom Blood
I watched the anime first but I read it later.
watched 1 episode of the anime
read the manga
watch the anime
No Wang Chung
No Marilyn Manson
No rhinocerous beetle
Watched and then read after finishing up all the parts.I'm kinda disappointed that DP cut out the part where Speedwagon falls into the water after trying to copy Will Zepelli that was actually pretty funny.
27 A. D (After DIO)
Did Araki think DIO jobbing so fucking much to Jotaro was acceptable? Like we literally just see him 1-shotting Cuckyouin with no bullshit involved, but on the multiple occasions where Jotaro flat out couldn't do anything, he just does dumb shit like throw knives at him or MUDA MUDA MUDA him, instead of ripping the faggot's heart out. Though when you give a guy the power to stop fucking time, I guess it gets harder to make that guy somehow lose.
I'm much more glad that in part 4's final battle you see Kira actually landing devastating blows on Josuke, the fight felt so much more tense than DIO's World.
He was scared of the Ocean Man, user. He was flying, for fucks sake.
The sfx of Killer Queen's explosions just give it a bit more devastating feel compared to just reading it.
The World got some meh dubstep farts
ALL of Killer Queen's SFX have been god-tier
So glad DP's sound direction stepped up greatly for part 4.
Would Kakyouin have made a better MC than Jotaro?
I think it would've been better if the bubble that came trough the crack in the barrier actually tore off his ear along with damaging a shoulder. Making his entire left half of the face violently bleeding non-stop. But I guess Araki didn't want to hurt his babyface jojo.
Nah. I don't like shows where the protagonist dies.
It really show's if you compare the fist fights from Dio vs Jotaro and Josuke vs Kira's first and last fistfight that they've greatly improved, the sound of just Killer Queen getting cracked from the punch to the face accompanied by one of Josuke's best DORA'S just is a pure eargasm.
I actually was reading my Part 1 JoJonium's since the rest of mine came in the mail.
I really do like David's adaptation of Part 1 and understand why they had to speed through it but I wish we get one where they can adapt all of it.
Reading part 1 a lot of the moments skipped really help the part breathe and feel more like a cohesive story than some rush job.
Definitely, seeing the absolutely amazing throwdowns between KQ and CD in the anime were god-tier. Those short scenes had more effect than every DIO/Jotaro ORAORA/MUDAMUDA exchange.
Can anybody help me finding where this boot is from? I can't figure it out. Please, help.
Oasis, I think
Honestly they can wrap it up quite nicely in under 20 minutes as we only have four chapters left, I'd like to see the conversation between Koichi and Jotaro after the ED with it ending on the photo of DIO
DP will never use ASB Diavolo's theme in his fight vs Bruno
DP will never use EOH Diavolo's theme in the race for the arrow
Was Kishibe Rohan wa Ugokanai going to get an OVA doing a bunch of chapters or it's just a one-shot? I remember hearing about it getting an OVA at some point but I forgot what the deal was.
Judging from the color and liquid effect it's definitely Oasis.
EOH Diavolo's theme for the race for the arrow
My fucking nigga.
Which is the best version of sono chi no sadame
The anime version
The anthology version
I like the Manga Ver the best.
XD You showed him user!
Only Millionaire Village is confirmed. After buying all the BDs.
People think we'll get a Part 5 tease this Friday
MFW it's not going to get teased until the Rohan OVA months later
You were absolutely right, Green Day & Oasis Part 14. Thank you very much.
I want to give Aishou a hickey!
Aren't we supposed to get the latest chapter translation soon
I speak Engrish
and Giorno is my favorite jojo...
Was kinda disappointed by this adaptation overall. The pacing was way wonky, especially at the end here. I've read the Kira vs Josuke fight like 10 times and it's one of my favorite manga battles period, the anime felt so stiff and didn't have the tension.
Also the music was a pretty big downgrade from part 3 considering it's the same composer. There were some good tracks (Koichi theme, Okuyasu theme, a few others but I don't know any track names) but overall it was pretty meh.
The visuals/production values were a huge downgrade too but I didn't quite mind that as much since DiU should have a different look than SC.
For part 5 I hope they change composers and it isn't handicapped by being too short again.
not in front of the boy
Liking generic anime rock over DIAVOLO'S FUN TIMES CARNIVAL
POST YFW NO MORE PART 4 FOREVER
not being excited for Rohan's OVAs
Not being happy we're a step closer to
Parts 6 and 7
The pacing was way wonky
It was much better than SDC's to be fair, and for CDIU 1 that portion of the fight really wasn't made for anime. There's so much dialogue that if they cut any to make it flow better people would have bitched about them being unfaithful.
I do think CDIU 2 though was much better, the tension was on point and everything was great.
The music was a pretty big downgrade from part 3
Really? I payed much more attention to OST this time round in part 4 and it was easily better than a lot of tracks from part 3's anime, the composer greatly improved in my eyes.
But I agree, I think part 5 needs a new OST composer and hopefully has a much bigger budget. Give it some italian-style part 2 OST and I'll be happy.
It's hype either way but yeah I greatly prefer Diavolo's ASB theme. EoH's theme is great too though, the guitar is brill.
Is anyone making Duwang subs for part 4?
A man can dream. I hope to hear the Mozarella song and the Fries song in my lifetime
It was much better than SDC's to be fair
It's a pick your poison thing really. SC was generally too slow (especially the first half) and DiU was generally too fast. I prefer the pacing being slower myself though, since it allows for a more faithful adaptation and nothing gets cut.
The music is also more or less entirely subjective, but yeah I thought the SC music was significantly better.
Also the music was a pretty big downgrade from part 3
For me it's the complete opossite, appart from stardust crusaders the soundtrack in part 3 was forgetable to me, but Kira's theme in part 4 is so good
live action in august
>dead's question maybe suprise
Why do their outfits get more bizarre overtime? Or for Josuke.
What do I need to do to see my boy animated , David? Please.
Hopefully DP gets the pacing right for Part 5 from animating both Part 3 and 4.
Since Part 5 is actually about Italian mobsters and assassins who are also fashion models fighting with each other.
Lisa Lisa is joseph's mom
You can hear the Mozarella song in ASB. I don't know about Gappy's though
Straizo took care of her I read. Also Dio was in the coffin with Erina.
Yes, but I want to hear it with David's budget behind it.
Don't question how Dio got with the coffin with Erina.
It's a question better left unanswered.
I heard that Josuke is Jolyne's big bro.
He's actually her uncle since he's the son of Joseph after all.
How would Johnathan react to his descendants?
So they're uncle and nephew as well as brother and sister? Damn, Japan.
Check out EOH/ASB
Naahhh they arent brother and sister since there father's were completely different.Joseph was older so Josuke was the Uncle and Jotaro was younger so Jolyne was the Niece. To make things even weird is
Giorno is Jolyne's Great Great Great Grandfather while he's Josuke's Great Grandfather since he's technically Jonathan's son.The Joestar lineage is a bit bizarre.
Holy shit nice dude here's another 8 for you
I'm trying to spread misinformation to the animeonlies while also promoting Jotaro x Josuke's mom porn.
Did he get banned?

post yfw DP decides to adapt Little Jolyne Goes to Morioh for some reason
A cameo like the EoH one would be pretty great.
loliposting goes through the fucking roof again
So, what happened to the Pucci-version of Great Days?
No. Stop that. MILFs and Part 6 girls only. Maybe Trish.
You forgot the fact that Giorno is also overshadowed in his own story by a much stronger secondary protagonist in the form of Bruno.
On pic related Josuke would probably help his buddy Okuyasu get a girlfriend since Josuke is more of a true love kind of guy as he said so himself during Let's go Hunting.
The best thing about Doppio is that he looks like a shota, twink or lanklet depending on the panel.
where tf is the raw?
He's crying because his stand took his dick.
What if it is? Except it's actually Josefumi
never jojolion is cancelled araki has decided to pursue his true dream of being a fashion designer
dubs confirm confusion. where is Great Prays?
I'm curious how they'll handle other inconsistencies as well, like anasui becoming a man
implying anasui didn't just punch himself with his stand
It'd be fine to introduce him as a girl.
Hope DP wont fuck this up
Anasui could be completely cut from the story and literally nothing would change
The only good thing about this adaptation is the Josuke beatdown scenes thanks to his theme and the amazing voice work.
Cant save F.F
Cant Save Jotaro
Cannot defeat Yo Yo Ma!
The DORAs are good but the song is underwhelming compared to the Jotaro beatdown theme
Seeing as we got to see Morikawa voice a Kira who's basically on the brink of insanity,I'm pretty sure he'll nail that scene
The scene that I really want DP to not fuck up is the
YOU FUCKING SONS OF BITCHES,
Cant save F.F
Cant Save Jotaro
They both die anyway so as I said nothing would change
Cannot defeat Yo Yo Ma!
Yes surely without the power of Anasui the crew would be helpless against the awesome might of Yo Yo Ma
I'll admit that Jotaro's theme is superior and the only underwhelming beatdown is the one versus Yuuya but it's still a pretty good theme.
Even if they did both die,due to his acts Jolyne got saved from being knived and bought enough time for Jolyne to get Emporio to the dolphin. All of the are reinacarnated anyways so it's still pretty good.
Was the one with Yuuya underwhelming? I loved it, seeing Yuuya get punched out the window then the screen pausing with the narrator talking over Yuuya's fucked up face was absolutely hilarious.
Also still find it nice that Yuuya's voiced by the same guy who voiced Kittan, Highway Star vs Enigma was such a hype fight.
Anasui only exists to be a love interest
Why is Araki so sexist?
Listen i know this is b8 but try to think this through
Anasui was the only one who noticed shit going ary with YoYoMa!
Jolyne is literally being melted by his Acid spit
Pucci gets the green baby early due to this
Am I the only one that thinks part 8 is boring? Maybe I just read it too fast...
I think I had high expectations for it that's all. Every other beat down has made me jump out of my seat with a smile on my face though. I think it was the actual beatdown itself, it felt like it went by very quickly and wasn't very satisfying whatsoever.
Okay so even if I concede Anasui's presence had an influence on the outcome of the Yo Yo Ma part then basically your argument is he did one thing
Probably because that's how it was like in the manga, they didn't actually show Yuuya getting his ass beat but just that CD punched him out the window if I remember right.
I think my favorite "beatdowns" aren't even beatdowns, but the two scenes of Crazy Diamond and Killer Queen throwing down have been my favourite combat scenes in the entire anime.
It's boring as fuck but the stand designs are nice and if Araki actually does something with the second half other than pointlessly meander around it might be good overall (that's basically what happened with part 4)
Listen, i see where your coming from. I didnt like Anasui that much until i looked back at the fact that he was the relentless tank for Jolyne and was willing to put his life on the line for her just because she made him feel alive.
Yeah, it's been a while since I've read Part 5 but do we get any other hand to hand stand fights like that? I do remember other iconic moments like Bruno's stand rush during the Grateful Dead arc and Giorno's 8 page MUDA.
You probably should re-read it, it's a different style to how the other parts usually follow a specific forumla but I've been adoring it all the way through. Every new chapter leaves me begging for more, and a few days ago when we had those theory threads on Dolomite and Joubin my hype's been unbreakable.
This, Anasui was pretty damn entertaining. Even if he was a dickbag seeing his dedication to Jolyne to the point where at the end he was jumping in to take shots for Jotaro to protect him was pretty nice.
I'm not entirely sure but I do remember there are a lot of "confrontation" scenes, like Narancia squaring up with Formaggio for a quick-draw to end the fight.
Any predictions for the new chapter before the raws come out?
On Anasui, the ring scene with sleeping Jolyne was comedy gold.
FLASHFORWARD MAN, RED HOT CHILI PEPPER FUSION, GAPPY GOES BACK IN TIME PART 1
If nothing else Anasui gets the distinction of being a more useless character than Okuyasu, truly an accomplishment
more useless than OKuyasu
actually won his first fight
actually does shit with the team
If DP do adapt part 6 I really hope they add a bunch of scenes with the gang interacting with eachother. I want to see Anasui or Weather interacting more with Emporio/Hermes/F.F.
Flashforward Man's been the best theory this thread's come up with for JJL.
Don't be harsh on our boy, Caesar was much more useless than Okuyasu. At least Okuyasu pretty much fucking destroyed Kira.
Do you think DP is gonna keep Fugo's cheese outfit are are they make him wear something to cover the inner layer of his clothes like the flashback one?
They will keep the Cheese suit but it will be spoiled Green, fugo's hair will be brown, and he will be voiced by
Caesar is useless too but I usually don't count the first two parts since literally everyone but the Jojo is completely useless
being a more useless character than Okuyasu
You're trying to hard.
So we can all agree with this right?
JOJO TIER LIST
BEST JOJOS TIER
Quality Josuke Tier
Still Good tier
Getting Worse Tier
Didn't deserve all his screentime tier
Switch Jonathan and JOseph and you got a deal.
I can agree with that but
I actually love em all.
I didn't knew taste that shitty existed.
Kill yourself now.
That's probably my biggest problem with Battle Tendency.
You can tell from the set-up that Kars is going to be the final villain, and Wham has a warrior's code thing going on with Joseph. So then when Araki made Joseph fight Ac/Dc it was obvious that he was going to have to kill every pillarman.
Josuke > Gappy >>>>> Giorno > Jolyne > Jonathan >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Jotaro
This is objective, cannot be disputed, no no.
I'm shitting on Jonathan, but all Jojos are good. Just not as good as others
Giorno above Jolyne
Johnny is absent
come on senpai
Jotaro is the best Jojo as agreed upon by the vast majority of the international fanbase
Stop being contrarian faggots just because he is more popular than your Jojo (who is probably a lesbian or a faggot cripple)
jesus fuck, that filter is still up?
Come on Sup Forums.
lmao, it's been a long night
Josuke > Gappy > Johhny > Giorno > Jolyne > Jonathan >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Jotaro
Only correct list:
Gappy > Johnny = Jolyne > Josuke = Joseph > Giorno = Jotaro > Jonathan.
All Jojos are good though. Jonathan would make a great husband.
You are trying too hard.
Have this (You)
Weak attempt at what? Stating objective facts? Jotaro is literally the face of the franchise this is indisputable
Gappy>Johnny> Josuke=Jolyne> Giorno=JOtaro> JOnathan> Joseph
im a little biased cause a certain someone makes me happy.
tfw no more gureato days
I definitely like Koichi's theme, "Courage" a lot more. And don't even get me started on Oku and Kira's themes.
mfw opening for part 5 is named "days"
He's technically her
GUREITO Uncle since he's already her father's uncle.
Yeah Koichi and Okuyasu's themes are awesome the two times they play
Honestly 2v2 can work...it just has to be done in a way that isn't shit ala the Gundam Vs series.
That said for something like Jojo's a 1v1 option is a fucking must DESU.
Jolyne > Johnny > Giorno > Joseph > Josuke > Jotaro > Jonathan
That's better though, they don't use the same tracks over and over to dumb down the effectiveness of them. Whenever Okuyasu's theme plays it's hype, same with Koichi's. His new theme coming on for Echoes Act 3 was fucking perfect.
That was the issue with SDC's OST, they just spammed Stardust Crusaders everytime something cool happened.
i don't remember that fight. what did he do?
Stardust Crusaders has 2-3x the amount of tracks that DiU has, it's way less repetitive simply from a quantitative stance
Stardust Crusaders plays when Jotaro punches stuff, no different at all then the Josuke beatdown theme playing when he punches stuff
He literally jumps out of the train and pulls Prosciutto out with him to throw him off, Prosciutto himself calls Bruno a "Fucking madman."
From a quantitative stance yes but they still reused a lot of tracks and some tracks were just plain alternate versions of similar tracks, like how Stardust Crusaders got around 3 versions of the same theme.
And Josuke's beatdown theme doesn't play every time something goes down in a fight, there's usually a great amount of variety in tracks for each fight, with minor villains getting their own themes too.
For example, in the RPS Kid episode they didn't use Rohan's theme over and over again during the fight despite how it was his fight, they used different tracks that actually complimented the battle really well.
What is it that makes Bruno so perfect?
I don't think there's any jojo that I hate
I didn't say it played every time something went down, I said it played every time Josuke is doing a beatdown. It's the same exact thing in SC. They don't just arbitrarily play Stardust Crusaders constantly like you're implying.
He's the best boy.
Stayed with his Dad when he realized his Dad was going to be the victim of his mother's divorce
Even though he's fucking dead he still had the resolve to keep the group running though he was slowly falling apart in the 2nd half
Best Stand music reference, great design and amazing ability
Was I implying that? Apologies, my main gripe more or less with SDC's OST usage was that I think they should have used different tracks from time to time whenever Jotaro shines so they can save Stardust Crusaders for the moments that count. Like if they didn't use Stardust Crusaders for every one-off beatdown and used it in full effect for something like Steely Dan's beatdown it'd have a bigger effect, at least to me.
He is literally the kindest person in Jojo.
I hated his character design going in but he was such a good character that I wound up liking his look the most out of the crew
He's the hero Vento Aureo deserved and needed and was still humble enough to defer to another character's dream by virtue of said character being a GioGio.
The others can't even possibly reach him in a million years and they should just go home tier
NEW CHAPTER WHEN
It just goes to show how great a character you are when you carry a Part by yourself via sheer charisma and THEN almost singlehandedly carry the next one too.
He's my favorite JoJo for that reason even if he isn't objectively the most well-written.
Pm'd you the chapter
If Joseph is so great then why does Jotaro represent the entire series and no one outside of Jojo fans knows or gives a shit about Joseph?
Because autistic dolphin man is the most accessible and 3 is the most popular part.
Every true connoisseur know that Joseph is best Jojo.
Because nips like autistic edgelords.
His son takes the most likeable aspects of him and Jotaro and blends them into a perfect package
Jotaro is infinitely better in DiU and SO.
He is just much better as a side character than the MC.
He has his moments in SDC to be sure and he definitively is the JoJo with the best one-liners, but he is a walking trope besides that. He's at his best when he supports the main cast a la BTFO Kira and Killer Queen with the OG punchghost.
He's my second favorite JoJo for that reason (also the sick pompadour) but I was an animeonly at first and the first time Joseph was onscreen I immediately knew that Part 2 was gonna be fun.
How is he autistic? Last I knew people with autism weren't able to earn PhDs, become successful scientists, and produce offspring. He doesn't talk much but he's as alpha as Joseph when it comes down to it. He can be a little bit snotty but you have to remember he's a teenager in SC, teenagers tend to have bad attitudes and it doesn't mean they are autistic.
Is there any chance we'll get the raws today?
That doesn't change the fact that he is an edgelord with too much screen time.
Josuke is the correct answer.
The kindness of Jonathan, the goofiness of Joseph, the sheer badassery of Jotaro, and he's utterly adorable to boot. Wrapped up in the cutest pompadoured package.
I love all JoJos to pieces though, even Giorno.
