MAPPA started out being very very ambitious, like MADHOUSE rennaissance, keeping the production of Kon's last film and funding legit directors, and ended up being a bit of a bluff suspended in moeblob. Announcing Pluto was fantastic though.

Let's not forget why SHAFT got hyped all around in the first place, they used to make good shit: Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (their masterpiece desu), Arakawa under the bridge, first season of Bakemonogatari or Madoka are legitimately good shows within the standards of the industry. It was after Madokabucks and Monogataribucks started running like crazy when everything went to shit.
