>He watches seasonal anime instead of focusing on clearing his backlog
What's your excuse?
He watches seasonal anime instead of focusing on clearing his backlog
I don't know. I find watching a show all at once much more enjoyable. I really should stop.
I have an extremely short attention span and can't watch more than one episode of a show pet week.
>He focuses on clearing his backlog instead of tackling his future backlog
I've watched over 800 anime and read a similar number of manga, so my backlog of good stuff left is relatively small compared to yours.
Fucking newfaggot low-powerlevel casuals.
>having a backlog
Go clean it instead of making shit threads.
No need to make an excuse, since i am currently focused on clearing my backlog.
I prefer to watch anime on the living room TV with 5.1 surround system and I only have a few available hours when I can do that
My PC headphones are shit and also leaks like crazy
If I don't watch the seasonal stuff It'll just end up on the backlog too. Plus, I'll miss all the fun and exciting threads on Sup Forums.
>If I don't watch the seasonal stuff It'll just end up on the backlog too
it's a neverending cycle
>He watches anime
What's your excuse?
I watch seasonal anime and the short 1 or 2 weeks I marathon shit in ym backlog. It's quite a fun system I have. I also wake up 3 hours before work so I can get anime in and play vidya when I get home.
...
If it's backlog anime I have to spend an hour finding the best encode to archive and/or combine subs and video from different groups because of meme subs. Even though I don't actually notice any difference it just feels bad if I don't.
If it's seasonal anime I can just watch HS because I'll get the BD later (I never do).
this. threads on Sup Forums are fun as shit
You're like the idiots that pay down their student loans and mortgages instead of their credit card bill and then complains about being drowned in debt.
What is watching current shows but preemptively clearly your backlog?
nigger you're still in debt
I am not underage like you
...
Nice blog
it's just too big of a commitment to watch 13 episodes 1 day. if the show isn't good enough I can't bring myself to do it. whereas watching 1 ep per week is low commitment.
You don't have to watch the entire show at once, you know
I'm actually working on it for once.
My backlog is virtually empty. Like 90% of my backlog is there "just in case" I get interested.
>watching non seasonal shit makes you underage
Its the contrary actually
>backlog
i'm not a noob like you.
been watching for 20 years.
>he can't do both
what a faggot normie
I do both.
Instead of watching seasonal shows or clearing out my backlog, I rewatch shows I've already seen instead.
I've already watched every single cute girls doing cute things show in existence.
>not installing cybernetic implants into your own brain and linking them directly to a military-grade connection terminal allowing you to absorb all anime, manga, LN, VN and other japanese content in existence directly into your mind at the speed of light and then re-consuming them on an endless loop when you've finished all up to date content
Reminder that this is the bare minimum requirement to post on Sup Forums and if you can't even meet that you need to get the fuck off of MY BOARD
>Someone suggest an anime and manga
>Status: Ongoing
>Episodes: 700
>Chapters: 1000
No thanks.
Probably have the lamest reason here.
I prefer seasonal anime because between each episode each week, I can fantasize about being in the anime. I spend almost every waking moment when I'm not watching anime doing this. Spent four hours last night constructing an elaborate fantasy about me ending up into Into the Abyss with a mercenary band trying to strike it rich. When I watch a finished show, I tend to binge it and unless it's unfinished, I find it very hard to fantasize about it.
interesting, i do the same except with marathoning shows, it becomes totally immersing your life into the world for a shorter period versus being half and half for a longer period, so i enjoy both, and sometimes i fantasize about shows i marathon for weeks afterwards.
I've watched all of the good stuff already.
I learned my lesson. I don't watch seasonal anime until they finish to air because it's better to marathon them than waiting every week.
Is there any ongoing manga that has more than 1000 chapters?
jokes on you, instead of clearing my backlog. I look for anime that isn't on my backlog and just watch that instead
I do that with longer shows sometimes as well. I rode the high off of Eureka Seven for a month.
I just want to watch AoTS along with Sup Forums one last time
Yes.
It can be nice to talk about seasonal anime with Sup Forums and seeders are much more common.
So the backlog doesn't get any bigger obviously.
Masaka!
I only watch my backlog in-between seasons or when there's a day that doesn't have any seasonal anime that I want to watch.
If only I could be this autistic.
Actually the last 4 shows i've watched are from my backlog, i have not had this sense of accomplishment towards anime watching in years
it's still growing at a faster rate than i can control anyways.
>backlog
Nigga Ive been watching anime since 2007. Started watching seasonal shit in 2009. Tell me where the fuck is my backlog supposed to come from. All shows post 2009 that arent shit have been watched. I spent 2007 to 2009 watching all shows post 2004 that arent shit. Ive seen everything on every recommedation chart that I have wanted to watch. Do you understand that there is nothing left for me but seasonal shit.
>not doing both
I don't watch anime at all just learning moon and reading VNs/Manga/LNs/WNs barely have time left for anime.
I like to shitpost about seasonal anime with Sup Forums.
this
I have so few shows left in my backlog I'm hoarding them and rationing them out to myself
They're set aside for binge watching the next time I really need something good to distract me
It's gotten to the point where I'm almost out of meme anime trash that I can barely tolerate. Once I reach that point I'll switch back to reading books again
Since I've been watching every seasonal anime since 2004 I don't have a backlog.
>he doesn't watch obscure anime from the 80s
why not both?
Here's your reply.
So I can keep up with all the fun threads.
>watching anime
>not reading manga
>inb4 idort
No I dont. I have always hated 4:3.
thanks
How else am I going to keep up with all the latest and greatest memes?
I watch things slowly because I don't have a whole lot of patience. Depending on how invested I am, a 50 episode series can take me anywhere from a couple of weeks to months to get through because I don't have the patience to marathon hours upon hours of show all at once.
because I want to be able to browse Sup Forums and understand what's going on
>having a backlog
>not watching seasonal anime AND clearing your backlog
Wow, I didn't know I was in a board full of GAYS.
I liked her, has she done anything significant?
I stopped reading around the time it was revealed her and the mc were dating
I dont know honestly.
Seasonal anime having ongoing discussions and not always having read what happens in it i guess?
Doesnt apply to adaptations of things you've read of course but then it can be because you want to see how it compares to the manga/ln/vn/other
Zovnds! I desire sexval relations with Misvzv!
Multiple reasons. First, I don't have the time to do it so I have to wait till holidays. Second, my fucking backlog always gets bigger. Third, it's fun to watch some shows with Sup Forums.
Although you missed one big option OP, stop watching anime and read manga.
>tfw binge watching every winter and spring season since finally on break
holy fuck this some absolute shit
what about movies
Ippo
The one week forced waiting time is great, though. As long as there's enough happening each episode, watching a show seasonally gives you a good amount of time to process the information given, form theories and hype up the next episode.
My video game backlog is more important. Harder to enjoy them especially >5hr ones if I know I have more. It's not the same for anime
I don't have a backlog, now I simply re-watch old classics during downtime.
>lamest reason
I actually think that's pretty cool user.
I barely have one and I haven't found anything to add in ages.
The only reason to watch garbage that is currently airing is to shitpost on Sup Forums about it.
This. I'm so nostalgic about the times when I was able to di this. Now uni and everyday life has me all fucked up. Had 3 nightmares in a row this week.
