It's a SoL in that it centers the daily mundane life of the characters. You guys are probably defining slice of life to mean "slow-paced and comfy", which is a specific subgenre (iyashikei).

None of the characters have mundane lives due to their wacky and unrealistic antics and personalities. It's a slice of life the way Attack on Titan is a slice of the life of a guy in a world where everybody is attacked by titans, or the way Gundam is a slice of life in a universe where there are giant robots. In other words, not a slice of life.

Fairly ironic that you post Nichijou which basically follows the same principle as Aho-Girl but for some reason is considered SoL while the latter isnt. The only real difference is that one of them is a short series while the other isnt.
