None of the characters have mundane lives due to their wacky and unrealistic antics and personalities. It's a slice of life the way Attack on Titan is a slice of the life of a guy in a world where everybody is attacked by titans, or the way Gundam is a slice of life in a universe where there are giant robots. In other words, not a slice of life.
