Anyone here like keroro gunsou or have something to say about it? Im watching the anime the first time through i liked the english manga but the high pitched voices kept me off of the dub. Just wondering if anyone else in their 20s likes this

Really liked it, watched it when I was 12.
The final is also beautiful

I thought it was really well executed.

I was a huge fan of the manga, but it started to decay around the time the anime started airing. The point where I dropped it was the Afroman chapter. I tried picking it up a few times after that, but ran into a chapter about random frogs playing soccer for an entire chapter while Fukuki falls asleep and several chapters about the weird girl with shadow powers. I always hated that character because of how out of place she felt. It wasn't until years later that I was told it's because she's from one of the author's other manga.

No, Alisa is an original character. You're probably mistaking her with Nazca, who was from a previous manga (although you probably didn't get to the point where she appears in the manga).

The issue with Alisa is that she's pretty much a Darkstalkers OC. The chapter cover of her debut was Darkstalkers themed, the term "Dark Hunter" is from Darkstalkers and Mine in a later volume even drew a group shot with Alisa and the Darkstalkers cast (Felicia in cat form and the other characters covered by shadows though). Although I like her chapters, or the one where Fuyuki learns about another boy who had met a Keroro-like being that had just disappeared. The whole "there's more going on in this world" aspect is neat.

As far as the anime goes, I like the first year (although comparing it with the manga is kind of annoying because a lot of the darker humor is removed).

The 2nd year also has some good episodes and a great finale, although some of the one shots are pretty weak because it's the point where the anime changes to almost completely anime original stories aside from a few exceptions (like the Garuru episodes).

Some of the changes during that transition, like 556 becoming the "I love colored boxes!" guy most of the time, rather than the Gavan/tokusatsu parody he was meant to be were really annoying. The anime only fixed him back midway through the 6th year.

The 3rd year a new director takes over, and there are many stories that are just misses. Thankfully, he actually improves and the later years although still mostly original stories, are generally an improvement over that. They're still somewhat inconsistent, but the darker humor and blatant parodies and cameos that often were cut in the first seasons (outside of 1st Gundam, Evangelion and Yamato) start appearing in the anime.

The manga is generally more consistent humor-wise. I think the only big misstep was the point where they were focusing a bit too much on a certain new character in volumes 22+, although it's a shame because when Mine reduced his role one of my favorite new characters got sidelined too since she was tied to him.

koyuki is a semen demon

I don't like how the anime staff drew her most of the time, especially when she's in her ninja outfit.

There are still some good shots though.

The dub is great. Come at me.

Although most in later seasons.

I want to see this Keroro in the manga for real...

Also, the reason he did this stuff with Alisa or the Street Fighter background reveal for Momoka's parents is that his first professional job as an artist was for a game magazine in the 90s, so he drew a lot of fighting game stuff during that period.

It was my childhood during the summers spent in Taiwan. I could barely understand what they were saying, and yet I still busted a gut.

>the high pitched voices kept me off of the dub

What? The only character in the dub with a high-pitched voice is Momoka.

Alisa's backstory before meeting Nebula and said group shot.

I basically learned Japanese watching it. I fucking love it and still consistently listen to the OST and watch it in the sprinng while building plamo. I'm 21 and plan on doing it again this year.

Love it. Natsumi and Moa are S+++ tier waifus and that sudden climactic arc with Garuru in vols 10/11 blew my mind as a kid.

...

I agree.

Koyuki should of ended up with the yellow kid who's name I don't remember instead of being cucked

>be me in elementary school
>watched the show every weekday on tv after I got home from school
>bought every tankōbon that came out
>even bought their version of gunpla and played their vidya
>tfw it's been more than a decade and still no fucking ending
