Why is nudity outlawed in America?

I don't get it. Nudity is natural, we are all nude if we take our clothes off. Nudity has no relation to sex, nudity is just that nudity. If you go to a beach and put on clothing, then your tan will be interrupted by a really ugly white spot where the clothing was. Not to mention that wet, cold bathing clothes can have serious health effects including kidney inflammation.

I don't look at other nudists, because it is none of my business how they look. I go to the beach to relax, not check out people's bodies.
