They don't deserve a brother like Karamatsu.

They don't have to be bad. Dayon's kind of a mystery to me, I'm not really sure what the point of him is, but Dayon village was a great episode. And Dekapan could be used to set up hijinks with his inventions like in ESP Kitty and Rental Girlfriends, but for some reason the writer rarely does that. It's so easy that it writes itself. A whole episode could have been spent on the love potion instead of a quick gag at the end, for example. A potion that turns them younger could be a good episode. A machine that makes one swap bodies with another non-matsu character. Imagine Jyushi and Nyaa-chan switching minds. Way better than a 10 minute chase scene with no gags and almost no dialogue.

Why? Because he got one episode and a four minute skit to himself? His own episode was almost as much of a Choromatsu episode as it was a Karamatsu episode. Not that I think that's a bad thing, that episode has been my favorite characterization of Choromatsu yet, but it's not like Kara's been hogging the spotlight. On the contrary, it generally feels like Matsubara avoids him.
