Bump

I was expecting Girls und Panzer

That one

Also:
Ghost Trick
EarthBound
Mother 3
Professor Layton Unwound Future
Super Paper Mario

>Professor Layton Unwound Future
Shit man.

You can't leave out its sequel.

Whoever has played this knows what I'm talking about.

I pity the new generation who had aeris death spoiled.

Brothers: A tale of two sons

This game had some surprisingly emotional bits outside of the rape

I don't, why would I cry for fictionnal characters?

god damn it user

...

Because it shows that you are not en autist/edgelod and can relate to something like a normal person?

>Professor Layton Unwound Future
Kill me

I've never gotten sad enough over a game or any media to actually start crying, at most I get a bit choked up. I guess that makes me a weirdo.

got to me pretty hard though

Empathy is for fags.

>persona 3
>akinari's social link
I wasn't prepared for that

Why are furries so emotional?

>Silly rhythm game about whacky agents performing services with dadrock
>Segment where a little girl waits for her dead dad to come home
What the literal fuck were they thinking?

thanks for spoiling the game faggot now i don't see any reason to try the game

b-but it's a spoiler image..

>Name of game in post

Because money speaks

Megaman Zero 4.
It kills me everytime. I just can't stand it, it's not fair.
"Just come back someday... I... I believe in you! "
It really punches a hole in my heart.
Fuck.

>I don't want to go

>opens the spoiler
>complains

Goddamn, that hurt like a mofo.
Expected an uppity weeby slice-of-life simulator, got a soul crushing tragic story of a broken man trying to find some light at the end of the tunnel.

Also pic related.
Expected a not-Sam Fisher innawoods, got a powerful and emotional bond film mixed with the best japan's stereotypes has to offer.

It's unexpected yet tasteful shit like this which reminds me why japanese games will always be superior in themes and presentation to western games.

>finish the story
>your partner turns into an empty husk, no longer the best bro you just spent 20 hours with

The end of this goddamn part of the game still wrecks me every time I replay it.

it's not a good game. it's actually a very bad game that hits cliche after cliche. You're not missing much and you would have seen it coming.

Well, this, desu

___________fag_______

What happens in pokemon mystery dungeon that is so sad?

What the hella heck you just called me

Just so she didn't have to cry any more.

The heroes fail and everyone dies. Also your partner was on the bad guy team the whole time. Throughout the game you're asked a lot of questions by your partner and at the end he just sits back and laughs at everything you said to him/her calling you pathetic.

I've never cried at a game, but this one made me come very close to doing so.

The game literally makes fun of you as a person

uhh, really? is this addressed in later games?

Quality feels series.

Damn Charizard is a manlett.

That bit in MGS where Grey Fox tells you about Naomi.
Kind of ruined with Cam Clarke hamming it the fuck up with ROYAL HARRIERS.

DUSKNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOIR!

Not really the rescue games for example, make ure character so attached to this game that when u have to go, you have a whole paragraph how he don't want to leave Because you're human from another world

*when you have to leave
sorry for broken english

>youtube.com/watch?v=4vI-Z0C27zo

That scene was so beautiful and heartwrenching, I will never forget it.

In which order should I play these?

release order you dumb cunt. There has never been any other order to play or watch anything in.

Stop it i can't take it anymore T_T

I loaded her up with materia - knights of the around desu - and then she died

>that final special episode where the feels hit you like a train of bricks
>Grovyle and Celebi finally seeing the sun for the first time, together
>Grovyle's message full of hope directed at the hero
>"We are still alive!"
>mfw

Cried like a bitch

youtube.com/watch?v=I-CSZDbKuL4

I never have, I'm too dull for that.

The ending to the third Layton I feel is the saddest thing I've seen in a game. And 's ending is close. And I felt melancholic when I beat MML1 and MGS1, though not because they were necessarily sad.

Red/Blue Rescue Team -> Explorers of Sky -> Gates to Infinity -> Super

Super has tons of callbacks to the other three, so if you ever plan to play them all, do it in release order.

first time I see this game

>the controller moment

>mfw the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games have better plot, better character progression and development and originality than all the "normal" Pokémon games together

I am not saying the normal series should have over-the-top stories, dark characters or battles, but it would be nice if they gave us something less "childish" and better fleshed out. BW and XY had more "complex" plots, but they never hit me as much as the Mystery Dungeon games.

I think since Gen 5, GF got in the good diection. Maybe we can expect something interesting out of Sun and Moon.

...

did he ever found his real home?

Is it true that MD has a pretty good plot? Or is it just sad ending that is good about plot? Do 3ds games have some kind of save transfers or do I have to start the party all over again?

Looker Bureau in XY was pretty good. I really enjoyed that. I felt ORAS did a good job of improving the basic RS plot and characters too, other than the shittastic Delta Episode.

I've never been a fan of BW's story and XY's other than Looker Bureau was pretty underwhelming.

Literally the only time I've ever cried while playing a video game.

>go in expecting a happy go lucky adventure game
>face the reality of war
this shit tore me apart

I feel people mostly like them for the sad or "emotional" moments, which aren't just the endings. They're at least enjoyable, I think.

ive cried at
>bastion
>transistor
>RDR
>every pokemon mystery dungeon game
>MGS 3 and 4
>walking dead s1&2
>valiant hearts
>tales from the borderlands
>ori and the blind forest
>bioshock 2
>FIre emblem awakening
>ori and the blind forest
>AC BF
>gears of war 3
>undertale
go ahead laugh at me

YOU'RE THE MEANING IN MY LIFE

I feel like life must be hard for a sissy like you, but i like you anyway

christ

I find it kinda funny
I find it kinda sad

I need a good game to cry to
reccomend me some good ones
please

who wants some high quality sobbing material?
seriously NIER gets sad and never stops being sad

...

They usually have some pretty completely unexpected plot twists. Usually it's someone you think is a close ally turning out to be evil but no hints about the turncoat are given, so when they actually turn on you, it's mostly a "Woah oh fuck what just happened?" moment.

fuck
I didn't want to feel this again
I don't think any other game had made me cry like when I played these.

Never played any of the mystery dungeon games but they always pop up in feels threads.

Why do they give you feels? Aren't these games intended for kids? Why would they make depressing kids games?

I think I`ll give it a go. Played only emerald though, but the games look interesting and you got me with those plot twists.

the plots are more intricate and dark then the surface would lead you to believe also the character building and interactions are top notch

I get too damn sentimental, that hope was just too much

Brad did everything wrong but had his heart in the right place

I think it's the contrast with really colorful tone that make it so powerful (Though these games get dark at the end f the games)

>Also can't play a game because it intended to be played by kids
>This is a 18+ site

This. That "everyone is alive on the beach" non-stop debate section in the last trial.

Except for watching the Star Wars films in the machete order, of course.

The plots are fairly basic but executed well with some nice twists. The game is good at getting you attached to your partner pokemon who usually grows a lot throughout the story.

On his forehead?

...

>Tfw you finally reunite with your guild after slogging through hours and hours of some of the most frustrating dungeons and dark plot twists

Walking Dead S1+2

Clemintine gets me

The closest would probably be RDR. As soon as I got control again, I rode out and avenged John, and right as I saw the final splash screen I realized just how ironic it was to see "Redemption" staring me in the face. It was a weird sort of melancholy mixed with empty vindication.

Poor John. Everything he tried to avoid happened anyway.

>S2
come on bro

Oh man.
You were always a brother, never an enemy.

Such a good theme tune.

youtube.com/watch?v=GIufkLyJuMM

It took me 3 playthroughs to realize that the path we were going in the future was the same as the guild expedition, I only ever got that we were in Foggy Forest

Which pokemon is this, i've hardly seen it

>the path we were going in the future was the same as the guild expedition
Oh shit, I never realised that.

Came here to post this.

What a great game. IMO PMD is better than mainline.
