Every single one of Byakuren's spellcards.
They get me errytime, all of them.

Well, UFO is pretty tough, despite what some may say.

I don't know which spell card it is exactly, but Youmu always fucks me up. Whether it's as a mid-boss or as an actual boss, Youmu always drains my lives like no tomorrow.

If there's one actual complaint I have about her, it's that most of her lasers come out or have hitboxes way too quickly.

This is the most poorly designed spell card in the whole series

There is nothing telling you that you have to go through the laser quickly

I either perfect this card or lose three lives.

I've found it's easier to not try and predict their trajectory and just dodge them right as they finish curving around.

That Byakuren spellcard though, Star Maelstrom I think? Now that is hell

Anything with lasers or bullets with retarded shapes like music notes, or random bullets, or slow lasers that then suddenly go faster, or random bullets that go fast, are aimed at you, blend with the background and have a bunch of lasers and music notes surrounding them.

And once you know the gimmick, there is literally no reason to lose any lives to it.

That one Kaguya card in the final spellcard rush of IN, where you have two opposite facing spirals of bullets come down and create little pockets of space.

Anything with bullets that kind of "drift."
Like the DDC stage 4 Benben nonspells, or MOF Aya's Crossroads spell, where the bullets go out in circles and then fall down in weird trajectories.

My brain just cant process those situations well. I see an opening, and suddenly its closed as I try to go through it, and usually I just end up stuck. Usually too dense to figure out what WILL be an open space, too.

I've yet to play TD's Extra but those Mamizou bullets look horribly weird shaped. Like I cant tell the hitbox on this at all.

It's kind of vaguely hinted at in the name and description.
Look, the point is that it's an incredibly easy card when you realize the properties of it.
Hell, the laser in the card works exactly like every other laser in IN anyway, where it doesn't have an active hitbox for like a second after appearing. So it's also internally consistent with the other lasers.

Neither of those should happen unless you aren't very good at shmups in general. The bullets are very easy to dodge and the laser is insanely choreographed.
Just go through the card a few times in Spell Practice, it's really simple.

That's just pure dodging. It can be a bit tough, but there's really not much to figure out there.
There's a pixel perfect safe spot right above Eirin, but good luck getting that consistently while she's moving around.

Honest Man's Death was horribly designed. There is nowhere else in the game that teaches or requires the knowledge that lasers don't have a hitbox until a second after they appear, and there's nothing that visually or audibly indicates it on this card.

Easy =/= Bad, it's still fun, and visually interesting, even if there's almost no threat involved in the card itself.

Besides, it's not like that's the only incredibly simple card Mokou has ("Flaw of Forgiving Shrine", "Xu Fu's Dimension")

That would be fair if it were in the main game.
But it's an Extra Boss's card, there's a precedence for Extra Bosses (and Extra stages in general) having cards and patterns that aren't obvious when you first face them, as they're designed to take multiple attempts to clear.
