It's on sale on psn, was wondering if it was worth it, post patches.
Did the patches help at all?
Other urls found in this thread:
I don't think they did.
>Did the patches help at all?
Take a guess.
It's going to need entire expansions before it is remotely good.
It's not even a base game. It's do 10 kickflips, return to the circle, then do ten grinds.
It's like $30.
I'm just a nostalgafag for thps games. :(
Even if they did, the game itself is still boring and lifeless as fuck.
then play the old ones. Don't sully your nostalgia.
So, how many of you guys actually know how to skateboard? Also, it's ok to be a longboarder.
I forgot this even existed.
>it's ok to be a longboarder
Yeah I guess so, was hoping maybe time fixed this game, thanks Sup Forums
I went through that phase a looooong time ago. I guess I sort of count?
Well, the physical copy of the game is just the demo and the rest of the game was released in a patch after the fact
So patches helped a little bit at least
Well, I can ride around if that counts
>Also, it's ok to be a longboarder.
This game was nothing but a cash-in. Their license was expiring, so they decided to make one last game with a minimal budget. There was nothing to lose since they wouldn't make any more of them anyway so it really didn't matter how shit it was, they could pretty much only profit from it. Then they called it THPS5 because it makes it seem more grand than Tony Hawk's *spinoff*. So no, this game isn't even remotely worth it
Skateboarding, as we know it, was probably born sometime in the late 1940s, or early 1950s, when surfers in California wanted something to do when the waves were flat. No one knows who made the first board; it seems that several people came up with similar ideas at around the same time. The first manufactured skateboards were ordered by a Los Angeles, California surf shop, meant to be used by surfers in their downtime. The shop owner, Bill Richard, made a deal with the Chicago Roller Skate Company to produce sets of skate wheels, which they attached to square wooden boards. Accordingly, skateboarding was originally denoted "sidewalk surfing" and early skaters emulated surfing style and maneuvers, and performed barefoot.[4][7][9]

Play the old ones with a ps1 emulator. You can even run ePSXe on a smart phone and get a Bluetooth controller if you don't have regular pc access
An oil is any neutral, nonpolar chemical substance that is a viscous liquid at ambient temperatures and is both hydrophobic (immiscible with water, literally "water fearing") and lipophilic (miscible with other oils, literally "fat loving"). Oils have a high carbon and hydrogen content and are usually flammable and slippery. The general definition of oil includes classes of chemical compounds that may be otherwise unrelated in structure, properties, and uses. Oils may be animal, vegetable, or petrochemical in origin, and may be volatile or non-volatile.[1] They are used for food, fuel, lubrication, and the manufacture of paints, plastics, and other materials. Specially prepared oils are used in some religious ceremonies as purifying agents.
There is nothing wrong with longboards, they're much closer to what skateboarding was for the first 30 or 40 years
Just play the original games, they only released that game because they were about to lose the license
kill yourself if you play THPS5 instead of THUG pro
...
I forgot penny boards existed. What's the point of them again?
I actually found one in my uni's computer lab once, but I decided to leave it in the lost and found since someone did the same for me with my $300 camera.
They're just compact, mine was like 30 bucks, although i never really ride it anyways, so I'm not sure why I bought it
I also need to find a thinner piece of wood to hold it together
I guess they're easy to carry around. I haven't had a skateboard since I was a teenager but I still get the feeling that I would rather be coasting down the street instead of walking. Longboards are large and normal skateboards are for tricks which don't interest me at all. I really couldn't use one of those things in my mid 20s though, at least sober, it would look ridiculous
>they're much closer to what skateboarding was for the first 30 or 40 years
What value do you think this statement has?
for posers and pussies who can't really skateboard
Liking the games is fine and all, but I seriously doubt any self-respecting adult would unironically practice stonerplank on plain sight
Historic value
Does anyone even skate anymore anyway? I never see kids trying to do kickflips on some street corner these days
>bicycles are for posers who can't do wheelies on their BMX
Eh it's not like the 90's when THPS first came out but the skate park down the street from me is always bumpin' with the kids.
Personally, I feel like you'd need a better grasp of skateboarding if you wanna cruise around on that tiny thing. The wheels are so small I bet any crack or whole will send you flying, and you can't even ollie over things like a skateboard.
At least it's not a hoverboard. Because you still need to do work to go around with a pennyboard
Bicycles are actually pretty efficient and convenient in terms of personal mobility. Long boards are just slightly more maneuverable skateboards that still can't go over any unpaved terrain.
Ignoring faggot longboarders attempting to convince people they aren't faggots. No, the game is irredeemable garbage Yes it had technical problems but even without them the game is shit at the core. You can't fix that.
They probably moved to a vacant parking lot or something. That's what the kids in my town do
Why do they always do this shit in Dubai, it doesn't look as cool as they think
>that webm
Can't think straight if you're that high up
Despite being a modern city it is still in the middle east, so most people that are there are still fucking insane.
That guy is clearly a tourist though, as are all the other people doing those stunts
He's there isn't he? Don't have to have residence in a place to be insane in it.
