after 4. underage fags don't need to reply
when american wasteland came out it went to shit
Underground and 4 were great
Honestly between 3 and 4. Three certainly didn't do a single thing wrong, so I guess the beginning of the end was 4.
Underground was really the end though.
4 and Underground started showing some problems but the "point of no return" was around American Wasteland
I feel the same.
American Wasteland was fine.
Project 8 was when they ran out of juice and lost their way.
Was that the one where you could ride a lawn mower?
I remember liking the BMX game demo that came with Tony hawk pro skater 2 I think.
Was that game good? And what's its name?
That was either THUG1 OR 2
At most, THAW had an optional BMX bike to ride which played like Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX minus the special tricks. THP8 was the true death knell of the series.
>Nail the Trick is pointless and does nothing except make it easier to bail
>ragdoll physics bails just mean it takes longer to get up and skate again
>aesthetics feel Unreal-engine plasticy and dull
>actual skating physics feel like some weird hybrid of old arcade TH style and some weird form of realism
THUG introduced random vehicle nonsense but that lasted maybe minutes at the most. THUG 2 had special characters that had weird ass vehicles that behaved like skateboards on steroids
Franchise was just a fad that lasted for awhile. 90's was obsessed with "extreme" shit for awhile.
Project 8
nice edgeposting my man
Nope. Thug 2: Bam Margera's pro skater was the tipping point.
>tony hawk turned to shit and now probably dead again
>skate dead for no reason
ree
Skate died because 3 failed to sell a gorillion copies (though they did run a reprint about a year ago thanks to a PDP LP). Shame that it died, it was the only reason I played on a 360 past 2010.
All we have now is Project Sessions, but that's entering/entered vaporware status.
It's a combination of that and devs not wanting to have to pump out Skate games every year. They quit while they were ahead.
Tony Hawk may be dead but THUG Pro keeps the memory alive
>They quit while they were ahead.
I wish I could believe that, but Black Box got disolved, m8. EA pulled their plug, and I highly doubt they wanted to stop making Skate.
It'd be like saying that Neversoft stopped making THPS because they wanted to stop and start making Call of Duty games.

Get a load of this faggot.
>5 is shit cuz muh nostalgia... oh btw I only played 4
>also what the hell you can't get off your skate? that's a MUST have holy shit
5 is shit, but that's not the reason.
