I forgot the name but, it was a arpg developed or published by sierra entertainment. Last thing I remember about it is that you are in some kind of floating land in the sky fighting monsters. Played it around the year 1999 or 2000.
...
Something like this.
The version I played only had black and yellow (the colors of the monitor) though.
Came here to post this

I had NES, but when I first got my PC I had demo of pic related and my mind was blown about fucking 'realistic' it was

ITT the millenials reveal themselves.
Sim City and Street Rod.
Street Rod was boss.
DOOM

Still hurts that we won't get a number 3

Zug's Dinosaur Discovery Kit on an IBM Tandy. To this day I still search for a copy and haven't found one. Our old computer basically was left in an attic and wasted away with god knows how many pictures, short stories and other things we saved as kids on those discs.
>that primitive, garbled text to speech part in Zug
>get into trouble when we start making him curse
The demo anyway. But that single demo had an ENTIRE planet in it, like an entire games-worth of content in one single demo level.
...

...
Something like Crystal Caves or Chip's Challenge
D O S
O
S
Redneck rampage
I have never seen the full version of this, but I remember everyone playing the demo over and over at school every time we were done with our computer classes.

ITT: everyone pretends to be at least 30 on anonymous anime board for kids
Freddy Fish
Either Pic related or some Turrican title.
Define "PC".
Windows?
DOS?
Anything that isn't technically a console?
Because it would be Omega Race for VIC-20 if so.
You fucks need to realize that "PC" != "Microsoft Windows".
...
Oregon Trail. My school had computers before my family got one.
...
After playing it with my Grandad when I was little, I eventually borrowed it and beat it with every character. Now I own it mint in the box, so many happy memories.
Oldfag
>living and playing through every generation of the industry
Newfag
>watching a LP compilation of a few nes games
Clearly its an elitism thing
Warcraft: orcs and humans
As if everybody plays their first video game when they are young, mommy doesn't buy everything for their favorite little neckbeard. Some people have to earn their games when they are older.
...
Must suck living in a country without public libraries or computers in schools, famalam.
Lemmings
...
Rogan?
...
Pacman.
Not my first game, but lots of memories surrounding it.
>12
>over at aunt and uncle's place to visit
>oldest cousin that was the 'cool kid', skateboarder, introduced me to a lot of awesome vidya
>he is just glued to the pc and I wander over
>pull up a chair and sit to watch
>DIABLO 2
>he starts trying to explain the mechanics as he plays
>he says "Yeah, it's awesome."
>I just tell him "you're playing it, so I know it's awesome!"
I remember getting it after saving up from chores and being so fucking pumped. Spent a lot of hours in that game.
...
I still love this game.
Was it where you could land and rescue people? I really liked that game when I was little. Probably the first time I really got immersed in a videogame.
Shogo

Who here SIM ANT, I swear I was fucking terrified of these spiders as a kid
Doom
MOTHER

FURY3
Antlions for me

but arc was the first game to win my heart at 9yo
This shite here but using an old ibm pc with green screen. I was 6 or 7 years old, started playing vidjas pretty early
Same here OP. That was basically my only computer game growing up and holy shit was it fun. Especially since you had the editor where you could custom make your own scenarios, which I used to make probably a thousand little stories to play through.
How do you guys even remember things you did at young ages? I can kinda guess that it must be either pic related or Warcraft 2 on DOS, but my memories from those times are really vague.
I actually have better memories of watching my dad play games, for some reason. I liked to watch him play Ultima Online and the first Diablo (which was terrifying for me back then).
A E S T H I C S
I played video games in between beatings for misbehaving, you don't forget
My crackers
A quick google search has a bunch of sites where you can download the full version for free
It was either prehistoric, or battle chess.
Dont really remember it anymore.
kek
fair enough, I suppose.
Misbehaving as a child. How horrible.
PCs were super expensive
I feel ya.
...
I remember this game (Return Fire) looking a lot better at the time.
I've been playing computer games longer than I can remember. My earliest memories of playing computer games involved this though.
dat ff7 engine
Oldfag and newfag don't mean what you think they mean user.
>How do you guys even remember things you did at young ages?
I have a weird memory. It came in handy when I hung out with a bunch of party animals around 21. I was the go-to guy when you misplaced keys, etc. or wanted to know something that happened in great detail.
youtube.com
was about 4yo, couldn't git gud enough to get past second stage
Free demo of AoE.
Its just a shitty AoE2 reskin
Was actually Prince of Persia but I was horrible at it so I pretend that it's pic related
I loved that old Tandy I had as a kid. Really want to replay some of that stuff for some nostalgia.
Age of Empires 1 has such a better setting than 2 imo.
i played other pc games in the computer lab at school but when my parents bought my first pc in 1996 it came with a joystick and this game
i played it from dawn till dusk the first day
that was my first marathon and i will remember it forever
after that it was duke nukem a friend installed on my pc with 20 floppy disks, doom demo, gta demo, warcraft ii, starcraft, MDK demo, blood, redneck rampage, i think the first thing i jerked off to on a computer were the strippers in duke nukem
some game where you walked around in a mech in first person on PC, in the late 90's. me and my friend would play and never actually figured out the controls.
Some game on a floppy disk where there are 4 players in a big square, each leaves their own trail of colour. You win if enough of the square has your colour.
Random "powerups" would also appear periodically, including one that temporarily froze your opponents.
Pic semi-related. Not the expansion pack, but the original game when it came out
Here's your (you), bait-kun
This, Doom 2 and Wolfenstein on DOS.
Also Lemmings.
But the first game ever was Doom 2, our pc would boot and you could pick to either play Doom 2 or go into Norton Commander the DOS OS.
Was the first game I bought with my own money.
Either this or Hocus Pocus
if you were actually an oldfag you would use those terms correctly, dipshit.
I can't remember how I was doing with this game, but I remember that uses everything in the keyboard for its controls
Nobody here ever said that.
is that terrain trying to be green hill zone clone?
This was such a fun game, holy shit.
I loved the conjurer class for the bows and all kinds of crazy summons.
Quake 2 or Red Alert. Then I used to go to a friend to play Little Big Adventure.
