Two decades later, Nintendo still hasn't figured out what this kid understood in the mid 90s

Two decades later, Nintendo still hasn't figured out what this kid understood in the mid 90s.

And the response.

Nothing has changed.
They literally just don't get it.

I bet he's one of us sent back to save Nintendo

most of their systems and games have been aimed at children. They also have had titles that reflect older kids as well through games like TLOZ and Fzero, smash, james bond, etc

however today there are fewer and fewer of those games that appeal to older kids and nintendo has really lost their audience in that theater. They're relying souly on first party games that don't even touch the 10+ year old crowd

Because all the people in charge of marketing or at Treehouse at NoA wish they were still children.

This is exactly what I thought

Today's WiiU doesn't have mortal kombat anymore, it doesn't have all these heavy older player games

hell if the Wii had GTA4 it would be hilariously fun to drive and shoot and punch in that game

...

The fuck is this from?
That kid is a genius

Thinly veiled AVGN thread?

Nintendo Power likely.

From the same episode...

>"if I was wearing that, I'd have problems"

This satire episode is literally a future prediction prophesy warning

Ni1ntemdo will aways be respected for saving the industry from collapse with the NES.

But they were never meant to be the great innovator they think themselves as. Just make games and get 3rd party support.

Nintendo Power, check the avgn episode on Nintendo power.

You know, outside of the hair loss, he actually hasn't aged badly at all

The best is reading "A Dolphin Tale" and soaking in the absolute befuddlement and panic setting in at Nintendo when the Gamecube bombed as if all the clues weren't right in front of their face.

They literally have no idea

But by targeting teens you alienate the people with money: manchildren.

Manchildren will like it as long as the game itself appeals to them. This is solely marketing.

Conversely, does this mean Sony or MS do appeal to kiddy gamers when they market to them 0%?

Yes.

What does it say after "dim-witted"? Also, what issue was this?

This is really reflective of the kind of world we live in.

How many screaming brats do YOU near during online matches?

Shit, I'll go back.

Maybe let them do whatever the fuck they want, instead of calling them idiots because they aren't doing what YOU want.

NDF finally arrived.

Let it go. I loved them more than anyone. Let it go.

>trying to push a mockery of what it means to be a grown-up onto gamers

Stop roleplaying, you sound like a retard.

Fuck them, I just want to go back to the 90s.

Nintendo Power was not officially affiliated with Nintendo. However I do agree with the point you're making.

It was run by Nintendo until 2007.

It was made by NoA up until 2007.

That's what Sega did and look what happened to them

Oh yeah I forgot, Howard and Nester wouldn't really be a thing if they weren't.
Sega's success came from marketing, their downfall came from retarded decisions.

Is it a new way you like to be?

Two decades later and that kid still got it wrong; videogames are toys, and toys are for kids.

The only one who "grow up" is the person not the game.

>NoA
One of the biggest tumors in gaming. I have no idea why they haven't been shut down yet, they've spent 20 plus years doing fuck-all except "localizing" everything they can get their hands on and shoving memes into our faces 24/7. My body isn't ready for the future of Nintendo.

YES I WANNA KNOW
YES I WANNA SEE

Oh yeah, just look at all the statistics. The average gamer is like, what, 10?

Or maybe it's like 30, but close enough. 30 is practically still a kid.

Because NoA products sell more than NoE and NoJ products

>30 is practically still a kid.
>30yo people playing with toys.

I see nothing wrong.

Uhh, the N64 failed because it had no 3rd party support. Development was costly and it was hard to program for, not to mention Nintendo's strict publishing restrictions

Maybe that's because there's a bigger game buying audience in America than anywhere else and not because they're actually any good at their jobs.

I'm sure if NoA and NoE switched places we'd see who was more competent.

Damn, I remember that issue, I had it. Unfortunately when I moved I got rid of my NP magazines except for the fun special book issue ones like the Mario Paint guide. I can't live without that.

They can do whatever the fuck they want, so long as ads run to remind people that they exist, and nintoddlers will buy their shit every fucking year because they don't care. They are so brain damaged that they are emotionally attached to defending a goddamn company like a family member.

Just like you hating a company like it killed your family
Both sides are equally as bad, but your side is more vocal now
