I used to think that was true soulsfags were annoying as hell with their shit but then I actually played the games and the lore is there for sure, just not laid out in cutscenes.
It's a pretty fun way to tell a story, really. It's like reading a book with every other page torn out but nonetheless getting enough information to piece the story together.
