Used to pay around 12 euro for 100Mbit, and the speed were reachable 99 out 100 times.

Then all of a sudden the ISP cut that plan and now I'm stuck with a 50Mbit connection, it's absolutely awful.

50ms to a speedtest server is awful, considering he's right next to it.

Imagine if he had to connect somewhere in germany where many game servers are hosted - it'd be atleast 100-150ms.

where in ontario? I've lived to city center and rural in ontario and always had 50 down as an option.

But with that being said, you need to figure out what your limitations are and possibly play more conservative and find something exploitive to use you can use from a decent range. Avoid close engagements, since the person you encounter will more than likely have a stronger/faster connection and will win by default and the server won't recognize what you did before you die.
