None of the interlacing options via F7 help.
Google has failed me as well.
What is the problem you are having really?
Interlacing is fucked. Tried every F5 setting and none have fixed it.
What are the problems that arise with this? I was in the other thread and I'm not sure what interlacing does and I could help since I'm playing the game in the emulator too like you.
It looks like fuckin' garbage is the problem.
Mind taking a print screen of the actual game instead of the cutscenes??!
Actual game is fine.
My cutscenes look a bit like this, less but its still noticeable, I thought it was on purpose until now because it seemed like the cutscenes were seen through some kind of television or some shit which I thought was plot related so yeah, maybe thats not the case lol.
I'll check my settings.
Interlacing is set to auto and I know shit about emulators so I'm afraid I cant help you.
Left is what it's supposed to look like (ignore the black bars), right is what it looks like because of ghosting and combing via interlacing.
Maybe try using the software renderer. I know that fixes cutscenes in FFX-2.
I have never seen this happen before, game is supposed to work fine on default settings, so maybe it could be a compatibility issue with your machine. Could you post a picture of your pcsx2 settings, perhaps? also, which version of the emulator are you running?
No such luck, just tested. Tried in software mode and openGL software mode. Same results as in Direct3D11 hardware mode.
It's the latest build release. I'll try the stable version in a second and report back. I've also tried vsync and frame skipping.
PC specs are
W7 64-bit OS
Intel i5-4570 X4 3.2GHz CPU
AMD 7950 3GB GPU
12GB Mixed RAM
750W Corsair PSU
240GB Mushkin SSD
Have you tried setting the internal resolution to Native? increasing resolution in these games is known to fuck up the 2D art, though I'm not sure if it affects cutscenes.
Also, using save states can fuck up games in many ways sometimes. try closing PCSX2, restarting and using only the normal, ingame save/load this time around
Nah, stable version is no different.
Didn't work but thanks for the suggestion.
I'll just live with it for now. There aren't too many cutscenes in the game anyway. it just bugs the fuck outta me. If anyone has any other suggestions, I'm all eyes.
If you didn't already, you should look through pcsx2 wiki or emulation general wiki, or maybe just ask emulation general not that it ever helped me
Also if you downloaded pcsx2 recently, consider downgrading. Maybe newer version fucked something up
Try using different graphics plugins. Gelped me with Tales of the Abyss.
are you using a normal ISO? Or some undub iso's ?
Why are you playing vanilla 3?
You should either be playing P3P or FES.
>Look up cutscenes on youtube
>Watch the messed up ones and deal with it
>Buy it on PSN
>Buy it on ps2
>Shitpost on Sup Forums about it
Why would you pick the last option?
Do you have any speedhacks on? did you change VU options or anything like that? what version of the game are you playing?
Buy it on the PS3 :^)
I'll give it a shot.
Normal. NTSC with NTSC bios
Who said it's vanilla? It's FES
I archive all my games playthroughs cause I'm a faggot who finds it fun.
Nah no speed hacks and didn't chagne any of the VU options. not sure what version of the game. It's one I bought awhile ago.
you should try with a undub iso, also why would you play with the dub anyway
Well, fuck. I don't really have any other ideas other than maybe reseting everything back to default, and maybe downloading another iso from the internet. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Play it on PS2.
Play it on PS3 (PS2 Classic).
Or bitch about PC emulation on Sup Forums.
>the cutscenes dont work
>but the gameplay works perfectly
>pfft, just buy a ps2 or ps3 to play it
...why?
