How's season 6 going for you?
Diablo III
got bored after 2 weeks like usual, too much RNG in pushing greater rifts.
Haven't played since S3, what changes were made since? I don't know if I can bother with these seasons anymore, I always play for a week or two then stop playing altogether whether it's HC or not.
Did it fix LITERALLY EVERYTHING?
*crickets chirping*
I'm waiting for new major patch or expansion news at this point. The Power Creep is real though.
this patch bores me too much. just number increases and same old wizard spamming meta.
completed conqueror for extra stash and went back to non seasonal char
Just got Diablo III; wasn't sure what to expect.
Does the game kind of feel easy to anyone else? On Act 3 as a Demon Hunter, hard mode, only died... three times or so.
Belial died in under two minutes because I spammed sentries.
Pic unrelated.
play on torment x then we'll speak
>torment x
>mobs have more health and hit harder
wow
I will when I get the chance, but all I'm saying is my first death was because I walked away from the computer without pausing, second death was because of lasers, third and most recent death was because of a bunch of those enemies that explode.
Never really wandered into a big group of enemies and go "Oh fuck I might not survive this."
what painting style is this?
GRIFT 52 on my Arachnyr WD atm, kinda regretting not going crusader or DH
Got top 100 in a couple categories, saw the meta was unchanged. Did my season journey and stopped.
If the meta changes next season I might do some actual 4 man pushing.
Bought Diablo 3 yesterday. The Witch Doctor is pretty fun.
I just ramped it up to master since I was pretty much one shotting mobs with acid rain on hard.
Make sure you're playing seasonal.
Wizard was fun, though the GR20 to complete the set took some wankery to get through. Just missing one piece from my build. Good times. Will see what I play next season.
>tfw GR 72 atm
>have to pray i don't get a rift boss that one shots me with a retarded, unavoidable charge skill
i just want my 3rd Conquest so i can be done with the Season Journey shit
going pretty good :^)
>tfw all the fags on your dead friends list are going to bother you when overwatch comes out
I wasn't since at first but I probably will whenever I get around to playing with my friends if they wanna do it.
I wish it wasn't dead on consoles
Do it anyway, your character carries over to non-season once it ends.
Alright.
started playing it and got bored, basically the same as the last season and I already have each class maxed and a shit-load of paragon levels, what's even the point of leveling a class I leveled before just to get some stupid season reward so I can farm more gold for more bullshit
Cant expect to play a game forever. You spent hundreds of hours on a $60 game, that's value
But it was never as satisfying as endlessly magic finding pindleskin in D2. I think everyone wanted the same fix, but years of shitty games had ruined the pleasure centers in their brains
What's the sissy class of D3?
I made a demon hunter. I got it to 70 but I don't like it so much. Barb was way more fun and WD was way more OP for much less effort.
Just stick a beer bottle up your ass while playing
Is it so hard to properly answer the question? Why do you feel a need to be mean?
>But it was never as satisfying as endlessly magic finding pindleskin in D2. I think everyone wanted the same fix, but years of shitty games had ruined the pleasure centers in their brains
Nope its a couple of things. One is that it was more fun to get those bonuses through runes and gems than it is to get them through shitty set bonuses.
Its also less fun because the variety is less and mostly there are more buffs/debuffs to deal with.
Its almost too much investment without being able to return to the novelty as fast.
Blizzards new developers just don't know what they're doing.
whatever class you play
monk or barbarian
But those are melee classes. Stop making fun of me, right now.
Monks, Crusaders and Barbs take 30% less damage than the other 3
So choose one of those.
>need for gold after lvl 70
if you'll find The Vault, you can farm there about 20 million gold, which was enough for lvl capping all characters
>Does the game kind of feel easy to anyone else? On Act 3 as a Demon Hunter, hard mode, only died... three times or so.
>he died on hard
that's pretty funny
Trying wizard this season.
Does any other class have a retort to Uzrael like he does? I don't remember well.
To be fair, Diablo 3 has come a long way since launch.
>Play in torment IV
>Destroy everything around me
>Play in torment V
>I get raped even by a small fallen
I'll never git gud at this game
they're also melee you dipshit
the right answer is wizard
They heal tho, cant get more sissy than that
>To be fair, Diablo 3 has come a long way since launch.
I would never say it hasn't. It was rotten at its core to start with though.
So they're building on the rot, which is the whole problem.
Also no even in other games of similar variety runes and runewords never show back, anyone know why game designers seem to hate them?
What's the "rot"?
Didn't sacred 2 make something similar skill-wise?
Is crusader still garbage? If so then fuck D3.
Also fuck shields, I don't want to use some faggot ass shield.
>What's the "rot"?
The way you have no investment in your characters, this doesn't have to be done through unchangeable stats but it has to be something or there isn't a risk.
Being able to change to suit every task means that nothing feels hard, so you get bored far faster than you ought to with no challenge.
These are the simple parts of game design you don't screw with investment, risk and challenge.
So there's really only loot and with nothing interesting to pit it against, well there not really anything to do is there?
Nice, is it a WD build?
>Shields ain't actually for pussies
Is D3 even worth buying now? Is it still active?
New Expansion when?
In all fairness one of them at least was me walking away from the computer to get some lunch; the other two were just because of AoE and stupid positioning on my part.
never
D4 soon
This is basically why the POE character building system is awesome
go play grim dawn
>This is basically why the POE character building system is awesome
Well yes because even though you can mess up, when you don't it feels like your choices brought you to where you are. You feel possibly : in charge.
This drives investment and its very important to keeping a player interested.
Not really a style, more a method. Google "speedpaint".
Actually, "speed paint" works better, because there's apparently some program called speedpaint.
What game is this? And are there any other games that have a inventory system like that with quadrants? Dungeon Siege/Titan Quest style?
Preeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetty sure we're getting Diablo 4.
According to leaks and rumors, Blizzcon this year is going to be all about Diablo. Something big is coming, supposedly.
looks like grimdawn
Pretty good. I enjoyed demon hunter this season and I've been able to get into gr 60 solo so I'm satisfied
Wouldn't Diablo 4 be actually a bit surprising?
They've been pulling a lot of work since D3's release to salvage it and they've done a pretty good job of it. I doubt they're gonna swap to a new game so soon when they already spent so much time and ressources into D3's systems.
If anything, an expansion is more logical since there's already an established platform that you can keep improving.
ded game
you should be playing diablo 2 ladder reset instead of this shit
New expansion with a new hero and some new system. Probably Necromancer, since they released him in HotS.
D3 was confirmed to be getting 2 expansions minimum forever, fags
source?
Seasons are a mistake.
Phalanx bowmen set when?
>died on hard
>as a demon hunter
But yeah demon hunter is OP
You would think so, yeah. But a lot of people from the D3 team either got swapped to other game's teams, or left/fired/whatever, and they've begun hiring for an "Unannounced Diablo project" for art direction and the like, and the most interesting position is for the lighting system of the game, which is a system that D3 doesn't even use. And what we know of this new project is that it was also hiring graphics engine engineers with experience in DX10, and again ,D3 uses DX9, not 10.
If it isn't D4, then I'm thinking perhaps a remake/remaster of D2 or something.
>Implying plans don't fall apart or change completely
diabloii.net
"Jay Wilson: Right now we’re just focused on getting the game done. We have ideas, but we don’t know. This one’s a handful. All I’ll say is that the previous Blizzard games just did one expansion, like Starcraft and Diablo II, seemed like a missed opportunity. We’ll make more D3 content until we feel like we don’t have anything more to say."
>tfw still cant get rorg
Getting bored though. Honestly, the whole speed running through everything because le epic xd is pretty gay. Diablo 1's playstyle is the best because of how slow it is. D2 has the perfect mix probably even though you could make a blink sorc and speed run like crazy, it isnt the same as it is now in d3.
Why can't you get it, just run act 1 bounties at the highest difficulty you can for like an hour.
Are you seasonal, non seasonal, softcore or hardcore, maybe I can help
>"that looks really awesome from the thumbnail. is that really d3?"
>click on it
>neither is d3
Why the fuck is Diablo 3 so fucking terrible? I'm even disappointed when it fails to pleasantly surprise me.
Fuck that loser.
The console controls for this were so much better than the PC controls. Every single thing was smoother, and that little alternate dodge was nice on a DH.
Yeah still active, just not much to talk about. Everyone just looks up guides. At $40 for the base game and xpac bundle, yeah it's worth it
seasonal and far as I know it doesnt matter what act bounties so ive just been doing them all for the bonus bounty but still havent gotten it. I cant do T10 without that stupid rorg but guess ill try going higher than 7 since thats feeling like a cakewalk now.
>Did my season journey and stopped.
this
Rorg is only act 1, the rest of them are just you wasting time, kouhai
In what world is that worth it? Play PoE for free instead.
>p2w
Nah
I don't think you understand that term.
>Path of Desync
>Path of P2W
nah
They fixed desynch almost a year ago, and there is no P2W.
>pay for tabs
>pay for ingame shops that work and allow trade while offline
>desync fixed
>isnt fixed
>pay for tabs
So what?
>pay for ingame shops that work and allow trade while offline
There is no trade while offline.
>desync fixed
>isnt fixed
Lockstep mode has fixed desynch entirely. Everyone was surprised how well it works.
Got my seasonal portrait done, hit grift 80 so I'm pretty burned out, friend let me borrow the uncharted collection since I never played any of them and see if I'll end up buying 4
fuck it, I just did act 1 bounties for an hour, got I guess 4 done and still no rorg. whatever
I've completed the game once with WD and I do not own RoS. Is it worth my time to return to the game, even without the expansion?
Kinda having that Diablo feeling
Desync is definitely fixed, and its easy enough to use acquisition.
Not without the expansion it isnt. Go play PoE or something else honestly. Expansion isnt worth it either.
It's called Roland's.
>option to pay $10 for some stash tabs if you want
vs
>pay $50 for d3 + RoS
>Sitting around in Diablo threads waiting for an opportunity to shill PoE to present itself.
