Alright, Sup Forums. I'm torn

Alright, Sup Forums. I'm torn.

I hit SL 120. I'm ready to start new PVP builds. The thing is, I started NG+ and I'm only to the Abyss Watchers. Obviously, if I level up anymore, people will complain that I'm not following the "agreed upon" SL cap for PVP. But I'm not sure I'll be able to get through the rest of the game at SL 120. Plus, I have no idea what to do with the 200K+ souls I have in my pocket. Any advice? Do I just stay where I am in the game and only PVP in the first few areas? Or do I just make a whole new Character and grind through the whole game again?

Invest your souls in shiny rocks and make your invasions beautiful. Finish it at SL 120, challenge yourself.

Or can't you do it, you colossal faggot?

stop playing ur done

Why did you start ng+ in the first place

how the fuck did you get to soul level 120 before ng+ abyss watchers

also i thought the meta was 125

My first thought was to just think of it as a challenge. Here we go, I guess.

Well, I was like 105 when I finished my first playthrough, and that's with minimal grinding.

Wat.

I'm level 90 NG+ and Abyss were piss easy.
Are you funposting or are you being serious?

>finishing game with SL105
>fucking being so bad he can't even finish NG+ on SL120

Either you leveled up like a retard or you need some getting gud. The difficulty in the game doesn't even go up until NG+6 anyways.

I'm not even stuck though. I've been FLYING through NG+ so far. I haven't even fought the watchers yet. I'm just saying that I'm nervous about the late game bosses, mainly Nameless and Soul of Cinder.

I finished my first playthrough at 91. No idea what you're doing.

I got a ton of extra souls with the White Soap Stone.

>invading for toblerone
>hosts always summon phantoms
>if they don't immediately summon more, blues rock up
>constantly get 1-2 hit, but my hits are doing fuck all
>bonus: see people with cosplay, but using the grass crest shield

How the fuck do I git gud at invading? Literally the only invasion I won today was someone getting rekt by the irithyll bridge dog

>complaining about something that hasn't even happened
stop being such a baby and just play the videogame

How about we see that qt first

The real meta is 100 kid.

What happened to the autists saying pvp meta sl cap was 60

How the fuck are you having troubles with NG+ at SL120? Literally nothing changes except the enemies have a tiny little bit more of health and do a tiny little bit more of damage. I'm on NG++ and it's piss easy. Lost at least 3 million souls from NG to NG++ because I stopped caring about soul leveling.

She is pretty cute

There are people who think it's 60, 80, 100, 120 and 125. I don't get it.

I'm not having trouble at all, though. I'm not complaining about it being hard, I'm trying to decide what I should do in regards to PVP. Like I said, I've been flying through NG+ without a hitch.

If you're unsure, just summon and respect to use the Dragonslayer Armor Shield whenever you reach the Nameless King at NG++ (the time you need to beat him for that last ring)

Are you invading to be annoying to hosts or to farm items?

If it is to be annoying, you should probably join a gank squad. That is how you mess with people now in souls, you annoy people farming for covenant items.

If you are invading for aforementioned covenant items, there are people online who cooperate with eachother to get those. Try that if regular invasions are not doing it for ya.

Bonus option C and just invading for the fun of it? Aim for areas that are not that popular. So definitely no Anor Londo. Maybe the crypts? I had a lot of success there finding solo hosts.

All of these are good points. Thanks, chief.

>105
>with minimal grinding
what
>ton of extra souls with WSS
double what

I did a shitload of co-op on my first playthrough and still finished at like SL85, what the fuck are you doing

If I'm carrying a million souls, how much does the invader get of that when I die?

Also typically I just spend all my souls on consumables like rope fire bombs and green blossoms and shit.

>NG+
>Only want to spend my souls on chunks
>Can't buy them until Archdragon Peak ashes
>mfw running through NG+ with 2,500,000 souls and Dried Finger active

I heard its not based on your souls but something like 25% of the area boss souls

op give us qt character face

>lugging around 1,000,000 souls in farronkeep/aldrich zone
>pop dried finger
>1v5 against invaders with guerilla tactics until inevitably getting hunted down like the dog i am
>tfw everyone gets a fuckton of souls and i just have to go pick them up
its a nice feeling

Beat NG+ at level 60 and I only went to that level because I heard there was a pvp meta, most of NG+ was done at level 50 and NG was done a lvl 25.

I finished at 61, what's your excuse?

SL120 is more than enough to EASILY beat the game all the way to NG+7

Meta:
SL25 +2 - low level / watchdog
SL 55 +6 - mid level - aldritch shenanigans
SL 89 +10 - Invasion cap (last level before you start invading SL 120)
SL 120 +10 - FC/Duels

i'm at 125 and i'm on like NG+6, the game does not get harder other than small health and damage boosts.

as for the souls, spend them on titanite and consumables, that's about all there is to spend them on anyways.

I just got past pontiff at sl 100 on NG+ for pvp shit is easy.

89 mustard race

120 is the meta from the previous games that got carried over, however, there are some in the community that think the new stat and poise systems don't require such a lvl for unique and effective builds so lvl 100 was proposed. There has also been a lower lvl pvp scene and right now it seems to be at lvl 60, but some argue lvl 80 would be best for the real pvp meta.

Game is still newish so nothing has been settled yet.

>tfw went to 120 so my friend would shut up
>got an extra 5 to get Mornes blade from yuria
>sitting at sl 125 with 40 vig 19 vit 25 end 50 str
40 dex
>every weapons ar is 450+ and I use anything and just make it refined for mass damage
I feel like 120 is a tad to high but I can't im not enjoying it before I got the 5 extra levels I just had 35 vig instead of 40.

>tfw used to be 89 for a while
>just put one more point into vitality and set my SL at 90
am i fucked now
am i going to invade into sl 120 gank squads now

he right tho

>Get to SL 80
>Have all the points I want for everything
>Next levels require, like, 40,000 souls anyway
Why do people go to 120 exactly? It doesn't even really make you any stronger. You get miniscule benefits after you have 40 in health, endurance and your main stat. You want to wear heavy armour for 5% damage reduction? Cmon now.

It makes you a fuck ton stronger son. see I hit fucking 900 rolling r1s with astoras greatsword +10 refined. I should of never went this high it's intense.

Holy shit, why didn't anyone tell me how fun the Homosword was? I just beat NG+ Pontiff with only the Weapon Arts and Chaos Fireballs.

casters require more levels to actually be useful

with an off hand simple weapon you can lazerbeam shit forever.

ppl go to 120 becuase they can softcap virtually every stat they need.

It totally elimates "builds". It's alright for dueling and 1v1 but also full of reddit/twitch cancer using dark sword, havels GS, estoc etc...

The difference between SL 89 and SL 120 refined builds is about 300 more hp, 20 more stamina, and a few free points for vit/magic stat for buffs (shunned in most FC) big fucking whoop.

The fuck? I'm SL 85 at NG+ Archdragon Peak and am doing just fine, OP. The NG+ in this game honestly feels not much different than NG.

I just wish it had the real nigga Lorian Weapon Art. Hyper armor is cool, but sometimes you just want to flip people like pancakes.

They don't actually it's the opposite.

Casters are only viable sub 89 becuase once you get into SL 120 people have retarded amounts of HP and mitigation and the chances of you killing something go way down since spells are filled with RNG and are easy to dodge.

When you play caster at lower levels it only takes 2 or so spells to kill someone and that means they don't have time to sip and laugh at you.

Show me a 89 quality build with 50 str 45 dex without rings

>Dried Finger active

Fucking why?

Casters (especially pyros) need the extra levels to not be glass cannons.

I like smashing invaders and giving them a break from ganksquads.

What sword is that?

>It totally elimates "builds". It's alright for dueling and 1v1 but also full of reddit/twitch cancer using dark sword, havels GS, estoc etc...
That's funny because I have a 120 shitter and level 67 mound maker and I meet the same shit over over and more dank swords on the mound maker then 120.

I fucking hate Post-Pontiff Irithyll. I put on Blue Sentinels so I can help out people being ganked, and all I get is a red and an Aldrich. I put on WoB and nobody summons in to help me. This is fucking gay. I'm better off going red Sunbro if I want to help people in PvP.

Twin Princes' Greatsword. Fuse Lorian and Lothric's swords into one GS. Has two weapon arts.

>Red sun bros
Those are the most cancerous faggots next to mound makers though

>45 dex
why? dex soft caps at 40, any additional points only increases AR by a single point.

You could make a very effective warrior build at 24/6/15/15/50/40//8/9/11

Well, what am I supposed to do? Just get my brains invaded out until someone finally summons me?

>Why
To push the limits to see what would happen and it turned up the lurcrune damage by 4 the extra 5 points

low level is worse for variety because there are less viable weapons

If you want a "top tier" weapon at level ~60, you have the dark sword and the estoc and the lucern as options. Everything else requires higher stats or is way far into the game where somebody would level up more.

Once you're at level 120 you're fighting people who have access to other top tier weapons like the glaive, chaos fire orb, black knight greataxe, dragonslayer greataxe, Greathammers with the stats to use them, greatshields etc.

Exactly so wouldn't the lower level meta have more of the dark swords not higher level one? That goes opposite of what the user was saying. also sl 67 40 dex +9 sharp sellswords have a AR of 386 and kill better then the dark sword. I don't know why no one uses these things.

This desu
>Made a 115 (saving 5 levels for Yoel in NG+)
>Few dark swords/estocs in FC's/invasions only seen one Havel greatshield too
>Make a new char currently at 55 and do Aldrich covenant
>Everyone's a dark sword ganking shitter who camps water reserve bonfire

>24 vig
Enjoy being one shotted

>using 5 stat points to increase AR by 4
even vit would make better use of those points.

SL85 and I'm having the most fun of all my characters.

The only inconvenience would be the fact that there's a lot of people who somehow fail to grasp simple concepts like rolling

Literally just take those 10 points in STR and put them in VIG

I can always respec I guess they are just sitting there. I didn't even want to go that high my friend just wouldn't shut up about it so I said fuck it and made one character go that high. I'm not saying it should be the meta but you can have some pretty funny shinnageins at 120.

Finishing NG+ at SL120 is totally possible. If you're having trouble then maybe the problem is with your build, or weapon of choice.

As for extra Souls, buy consumables, armours for fashion and upgrade materials.

>upgrade materials.

INFINITE BUYABLE SLABS WHEN?

Then I would gimp myself of strength faggot. Why would I purposefully handicap myself to make autistic fucks happy when a majority of players play at 100 or 120 and 120 can hit from 100 to 160 depending on your covenant rune.

since the game came out?

Are you retarded by chance?

You'll be fine man. I was hoarding souls and leveled up to 112 and the beginning of ng+. I felt so overpowered so I just quit leveling and on nameless king/soul of cinder now. Felt way overpowered for most of the bosses in ng+ at 112.

Are you the retard the hand maiden doesn't sell unlimited. You only get 8 pre playthrough

I finished at SL -1, why are you so bad?

user, you can only buy, I think, 1 Slab from the handmaid.

I think there's only a total of 8 slabs per NG.

Making a heavy paladin, what's a good weapon to invest in?
Great Club, right?

>heavy paladin
Astora Greatsword

STR soft caps at 40 as well. There are no quality build weapons that require more than 40/40 stat requirements so there is no reason to push beyond the soft cap. At the very most you might gain 10AR from the extra STR where you can gain at least 200HP from the VIG.

Morns hammer or astoras greatsword if you want S lightning scaling

Astora GS
Lothric Knight GS
Morne Hammer
Great Club

Smoughs hammer disagrees with you faggot

Tell me how much of a faggot I am for preferring keyboard and mouse. I've played all the Souls game on a Playstation of some kind, and this is my first one on PC. I can't look back though.

>Astora Greatsword
Literally the best weapon in the game

I beat Nameless in 2 tries at like SL100 something. He's really not that hard as long as you stay calm and time your rolls.

I beat NG++ at 100. The hike in enemy HP and stuff is more significant from NG to +, than + to ++

Morne's Great Hammer. 50str30fth requirement but it gets B scaling at +4/+5 and it as a gerat AoE weapon art. Get yourself a simple infused shield and just spam Morne's Rage at everything.

>Paladin
>Club
Nigger, you're going Blessed Mace/Morning Star or Halberd or you're not doing it at all.

Great Club? What are you? A savage?
Use a big ass mace or hammer like a proper knight.

So what the fuck do I level now? I'm 77 or 78 and have 40 Dex, 40 End and 24 Vit. I might boost some more into vit for fashion and fast roll but that's literally it. Should I just dump points into Vigor or faith/int just to be another memer? Just beat Nameless King and not sure what to do.

Smough's hammer is not a quality build weapon, faggot.

>Not ripping a branch off a holy giant tree to use as your weapon

Quality build can use more then just Quality weapons. It's called being a blade master and being able to use strength and dex weapons together.

>24 Vit
Unless you want more than two weapons big weapons, you really don't need more than 20. Endurance and Vit go a long way, if you're going to be a pure melee build, you'll want some of that.

Why the fuck does these games only allow for 10 profiles? Fuck this shit.

What's your VIG? What's your STR?
Could always level up LCK and go for a Hollow infused Carthus Curved Sword or Anri's Straight sword

Vig is always good. Since you're a dex build you could start levelling Luck and get a hollow infused bleed weapon, you'll wreck shit even better than before.

Finished the Game at 46 , leveld up to 60. I dont see any point in going past 60 for me. Paladin build still viable for pvp.

Really, you'll still likely be able to kill in 2 hits no matter what level you go to between 80 and 120. If you can accept that as a caster you shouldn't be a tank too and ditch the health, it's a lot easier to deal with in general.

You just have to fall more in line on appreciating having some range, not being able to be parried (which is way too fucking easy in this game), working better in a team setting, and being able to use terrain or obscuring ring way better than any melee character can.

If Im sl 90 should I just bite the bullet and head to 120? I dont want to invade 120 cancer at sl 90, but I still want to sit near 80.

My endurance is at 40. It doesn't need to go higher, though I guess it could. My vigor is baseline for my class, which I think is either 11 or 12. I need the vit for fast roll with my fashion for pure nerd play. I'm literally 3% away when I wear all the pieces.
